Loved it when it came out. But for some reason people are shitting on it now.

Loved it when it came out. But it has just gotten shittier and shittier with every subsequent viewing. I guess the magic doesn't hold up on repeat viewings, or more simplistically, doesn't withstand the test of time.

I love both it and it's sequel and I hope Danny Boyle finally gets around to making a 3rd.

You gotta watch the blu-ray version to really get it.

Loved it when it came out.

Brilliant film, neo-Sup Forums obviously like to shit on it because it was good.

That said i've seen it about 4 times and dont think id ever bother to watch it again.

kino

Danny Boyle is a meme director

Bretty good, top tier zombie movie. Still torn on the sequel.

The opening scene were Boyle had a say was GOAT, rest was utter rubbish.

absolute shit

He's getting progressively memer. At the start he was great, then he went all 2016 at the 2012 olympics and now just makes poo in loo fan art.

Welcome to Sup Forums!

Really good. Cult classic. Entertaining, 7.5/10

First two acts are great, but the last third when they get to the military base goes downhill a bit.

He never made a second one dumb dumb

Couldn't agree more. I enjoyed some of his earlier work, but once shitdog millionaire came out I knew he was done

Used to hate the third act and still think it's the worst part but in time i've appreciated it more. Eccleston's character is great and the kino is still there. The whole rape/i promised them women is good. The whole "now he is like the zombies because of rage" is heavy handed, pointless and shit.

Same with Sunshine, it's not a bad third act as such but he just can't seem to get it right.

First off, checked. Second, I feel it's the most frustrating type of movie because of this. Small moments of good movie thrown into general blandness.

It's like he was excited as fuck to make the movie and then he started running out of enthusiasm and wanted to end it by the third act.

Still enjoyable to watch, but dropping the ball.

28 Weeks had an awesome opening scene

and it was Renner-Core

but beyond that it kinda meh

I think its great, but they blew it by filming on miniDV to save time. The bluray looks VHS tier.

>Trainspotting
>28 Days
>Sunshine
>"YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH"
>Slumdog
>127 Hours
>"FUCK"

The small moments get washed out imho, the dad's conflict over his cowardice is great, his infection is great, the soundtrack is great - but then the put in a scene where a helicopter chops up zombies and it means absolutely everything has to go in the bin.

Well the original ending was obviously them transfusing all the dad's blood with all of jim's blood in order to save him.

Alex Garland is a hack desu. Im convinced some of his work has only turned out to be great because of huge amounts of other people stepping in.

Shallow Grave, his first film is pretty cool

Its the closest thing we will ever get to a Crossed movie.

>The most realistic part ruined it
You do know that helicopter blades can actually do that right?

Wow I don't understand the hate, probably has something to do with Boyles latest shitty films. Slumdog was just awful.

28 Weeks Later was awful too but that wasn't Boyle

>Crossed
You have to be 18 or older to post here, and less edgy

>Implying that it's all about the goreporn and not the subtle themes.
