Lol

Lol
I'm done my campaign, getting real tired of sarumar

Still trying to grind rep for Court of Stars and Arcway.

i need jewgold

I'm already 848 :')
I've kinda no lifed it a lot...
But so far a mjority of the content has been sick. Suramar is whatever and the gear in Court and Arcway is godlike

i'm 845, just got N'ero the legendary ring earlier tonight

i literally have done nothing but grind world quests and do satchel heroics every time call to arms pops (disc priest FTW)

fucking love legion. you can play the game however you want and make progress instead of being pidgeonholed into finding some half way decent nolifers to raid with

that being said, i'm gonna raid my ass off when the raids come out too

My guild already has three nights planned for nightmare we wanna get to heroic and mythic pretty quickly. So stoked. Whats your class
prot pally here

is this xpac any good ?

Def. has the potential to rival BC and WotLK no joke

Are you any good?

it's as good as BC already and the first content patch hasn't even come out yet and the first content patch is Karazhan 5 man

FUCKING LEGIT XPAC FAM

OP said it best, Legion is WoW's renaissance. The game has been completely reinvented and it all feels so fresh and great again

I played in like 2009 last. if i play now will it be easy to remember how to play?

Stopped playing after they hot patched my rek bomb.

>stopped playing when the fixed the game

litteraly begging for wow legion

The game holds your hand a lot until you get to current content.
When making a new character you even get the option to demo the lvl 100 version of the class.

Is it just me or are there a lot more Shamans running around now?

Shame that enhancefriends got the worst artifact quest. Elemental was a lot of fun.

the game still sucks if it doesn't have talent trees. Since it has no talent trees it sucks, they are still catering their asses out to normies

yes, because clicking your points into a cookie cutter objectively best build gave you such deep freedom of choice

Yeah, all we have now are multiple viable talents to change in between encounters.

Never used a cookie cutter build and I was a very good at tanking and PVP

Its shit get over it casual normie

>nearly 2017
>still playing WoW

>didn't use best build
>"i was very good"
you can pull your head out of your ass whenever you feel like it buddy

If you need a tree so bad every artifact weapon has one.

I've played since 06, I'm coming back

What did you play?

I was probably one of the best on my server, I quit shortly after cata since I wont pay money for a game catering towards casual 12 year olds
Not good enough

This has to be bait. Here's your (you), disgusting pig fucker.
This expac has been fucking amazing. Can't wait till raids open next week.

I mean, it might be! But at the beginning of Warlords, it was much the same: everyone was thrilled by the nostalgia, appreciative of the very real mechanics improvements, and engaged with the new story.

But then the nostalgia wore off, the garrisons became semi-automated chores, the flaws in the plot were roundly criticized, the Highmaul semi-tier/BRF system was poorly received, and there was the large content drought before HFC and the HUGE content drought after. The absence of Farahlon and the Shattrath raid are gaping holes that, if filled, could have left Warlords as the current reigning champion of expansions, even despite garrisons.

Right now, we're in a good spot. We've got the same groundwork Warlords started from, which, again, was excellent. And it gets better! The mission table is much smaller, less worth automating, and accessible from mobile - if *this* was the mission table in Warlords, garrisons would not have their godawful reputation.

And the story is, er, well. It's on the mend. The high points are high, and the cringe-worthy elements from the 90s and early 00s are winding down (ciao, Metzen). Even now, they've been responsive to criticism, even if they can't respond swiftly due to the nature and length of the content pipeline. If WoW even tries to continue past another expansion or so, they've got a clean slate to work from, and I'm hopeful.

They're even showing off a new interim patch with Real Content! Instead of "Garrison Patch", we've got another Karazhan, and 7.1 looks good. Unfortunately, this is where my optimism expires.

I am *very* deeply concerned that they're rushing out content ahead of another drought. These year-long gaps are murder for the game's subscribers, and therefore longevity. I'd love to be proven wrong, but that's on Irvine.

I'm a little worried over the fact that they're releasing Mythic+ and Emerald Nightmare at the same time. Like you said, it feels a little rushed.

I heard a baseless internet rumor that expansions will be coming out faster now so that should cut down on the year long gaps but we'll see.

>Legion is WoW's renaissance
does it remove Mists of Pandaria?

hunter

the itemization alone is what has me so excited about it man. you can do anything you want and make very real progression on your characters power.

you could literally never set foot in a dungeon or raid for the entire xpac and on a long enough timeline you can equal and possibly outgear a mythic raider.

as someone who enjoys doing something more than raiding on a schedule like it's a fucking job, and also someone who doesn't mind if "casuals" have some opportunity to compete, i can't think of anything more exciting than that

i also loved diablo a little bit more than wow because of the itemization, and now i think i like wow even better

Mythic+ and the Nightmare doesn't seem like a huge conflict to me. Yes, the aggressive players will run both, and that's on them. Otherwise, it's two parallel tracks for gearing that will attract mostly separate audiences.

The faster expansions idea is bullshit. They insisted they were trying to do so for the best part of a decade and failed miserably, and there was an interview back around release where the devs stated that the attempt was a mistake. They're more focused on a Mists-like patch cadence.

Y'know, the one that left us in Siege of Orgrimmar for a year.

Mythic dungeons and raiding are separate audiences?

I haven't played leejun but from what i've seen, literally every single aspect of it is re-used content.

There's plenty of overlap, but yeah? The explicit intent of Mythic+, the reason it works the way it does instead of the old CM system, is to provide an alternate gearing path for people who won't or can't raid. It'll pick up hardcore raiders and their alts, too, but they're not the sole audience.

I mean, even before Activision, Blizzard is gigantic and more than capable of going Big Data on their player's activity trends. They wouldn't invest time and paychecks in building a feature without a degree of certainty regarding its capacity to engage players.

RIP Nostralrius. New expansion is shit. Vanilla was the only experience I enjoyed

I am very sorry for your loss, and for the mental stance that enables a longing for such an unrefined and poorly-aged experience.

Would someone help me get legacy of the void??

Hell yes, I'm loving this expansion so much, I got a late start so just hit 110 today like the scrubass I am.

That's okay my dude, I just started levelling my second character through.
How did you enjoy your first time through? Did you just do the mainline quests through every area?

Is it though? I'm definitely a vanilla nostalgia fag so ignore me if you want but it feels exactly like WOD did at the start anyway. It's just more WOW.

Also I'm only 104 but does CC make a return I'm dungeons at all? Aoe tanking and face rolling are not that fun for me. I miss old 5 mans where you had to keep cc up.

Just wait for Mythic+.

Difficult dungeon content is M+ dungeons. Even the two Suramar dungeons require correct timing of counters to progress at base mythic level in current 845-849 ilvl gear. Once M+ opens and players push themselves, mobs will absolutely require correct CC timing.

>needing the rogue to sap a monster on every pull and make the dungeon take much longer was a definitively awesome experience for me

vanillafags man, vanillafags

Facerolling I perfectly viable for lower level dungeons but as the difficulty goes up stand out players will start using CC and support moves a lot more. In a few days we'll see if the leap to Mythic+ will force players to use their brain more.

MoP was actually decent you nigger

Yay! I know wow was never expected to get so huge and we've never seen anything like it so blizzard has to make things up as they go but yeah I'm pretty biased against casuals and catering them . To a degree anyway. Again I'm an old MC raider so I have rose/shit colored glasses on. Still tho I just feel like some people (for example fat husband wife teams that suck) should never have been playing.

Reminder that Chris Metzen retired.

Green Jesus will die next.

But it was exciting to have to manage it all. You can't possibly think a tank rushing in, holding aggro and having fps just smash their keyboards was good either.

You mean by reinvented it has stolen all of the annoying grind mechanics from FF14? Cause guess what that's all you do atm.

if you like dungeons to be challenging play a healer man, it's as simple as that. been playing nothing but healer since MOP and i can never play dps again, it's boring as shit.

and as for tanking? rather take a nap

You're not wrong but no role should be a snore fest. I liked cc'ing even as hunter with those stupid fucking traps. It made it suspenseful and made the end feel like you accomplished something (yea I know it was never actually accomplishing something). Now it's like *hrjridififufidjjdhx* EPIX.

Again the games so big my opinion doesn't matter but I still feel difficulty is lacking (have not played mythic yet tho).

DPS will always be boring because there's no responsibility. you're just trying to top damage meters and you don't notice if anyone else is playing badly because you're just smashing your buttons and avoiding the fire

my statement stands man. play a healer and you'll embrace a whole new world of challenging gameplay. i recommend starting with either druid or shammy

I haven't done Arcway or Court of Stars yet but can it be agreed that Maw of Souls is the best dungeon?
Short, sweet and metal as fuck.

Agreed. Helya fucked my ass hard the first time through, and my group as well since i was healing and got rekt bad as fuck over and over

Have 110 disc/shadow priest. And been leving my lock i think hes 104. How do u guys feel about destro locks this time around?

Guys i tried to watch this movie twice and fell asleep both times. WTF it's so boring and pc i can't stand that boring shit how do you stay awake to watch it??

I play shammy and have gotten really curious about healing. Especially after watching my brother play his priest. He's just gotten into using shadow recently after healing forever.
He was disc but mains holy now. Save for whenever he's paired with DK tank, then he switches to disc so he can at least dps a bit since a healer is almost superfluous.

Yeah I played a priest healer in Mc. I boosted a druid to try that out and I do wanna go resto. I chose feral for leveling so I hope I didn't fuck my artifact for healing but I suspect I can just grind out my 2nd artifact.

Those tokens for play time, how much do they go for?

I kinda like the new Violet Hold remake too, because the bosses actually have mechanics now so you can't just fall asleep and wait for the god damned thing to end like back in the WOTLK version

I think like 25k

You don't get meaningful amounts of AP while leveling. The first 13 points are 100% trivial amounts. A druid can get all 4 artifacts to 13 and then level one of them past 13 without noticing any meaningful loss.
Also, 13 points is enough to get the "best" golden trait so you won't feel entirely gimped if you don't want to main the spec, but play it in dungeons and casual raids.

You can put up to 13 points in your artifact without it costing much at all. The 14th point costs more than the other 13 combined. You won't fall that far behind if you keep it to 13 points.

i started playing Holy but then i tried disc once i got 110 and haven't gone back. it's fucking disgusting how good disc is in Legion, it's totally reworked. it has a pretty steep learning curve but once you get the hang of it, it's retarded good

Oh, okay, that is way more than what I was hoping they would go for, I really want to start playing it again, but with zero income a monthly subscription is out of the question.

For pve?

yes pve. i think it has a lot to do with scaling too since you're working with shields and healing your group with your damage while they're shielded... and both your shields and damage is getting better with ilvl so you actually are getting doubly better all the time.

my ilvl is 846 now and i suspect Holy is probably easier until around 835, even if you are really good at Disc

...

Only complaint so far is that so much of the gearing process is RNG. It feels great when you get a piece that is complete BiS, but until then it feels shit because of how much RNG is put into it.

Ur all idiots. Every single expansion has hype on its release and everyone says wow is back. You're just excited. It will be complete shit in a few months.

i just got this earlier tonight

u guys jelly?

...

fucking rolled socket, you lucky bitch

Yeaaa that's pretty awesome man.

Good job!

Guys I respectfully request that you all put down your joysticks or whatnot and forget about your trophies or hitpoints or whatever and do something useful before your lives are too useless to do anything.

Repeat: Do something in the real world for a change you useless pieces of shit.
You remind me of Las Vegas casinos, with rows and rows of elderly fools pulling on the slot machines all day. Fucking pathetic. Exact same shit only you all pull on your dicks when you're burnt out on moving your silly characters around in fantasy-land.

Did the paid shills stop posting on after getting their asses handed to them continuously, for days, because of all the bullshit they try to pull about how lijum is the "greatest expansion evah", and started posting their trash here now?

How is the endless grind, and time-gated """""""""""""""""""content""""""""""""""""""" going, folks? Have you eaten enough shit already?

wew

And yet you're here shitposting on Sup Forums
leading by example eh?
