See, you are too agitated, go to sleep.

He made his own CPU once.

I also know rotary things.

What do you want?

I'm always like this.

Why don't the two of you ever talk?

I feel you might make a great duo.

Krystal genetic modification plan. go

that sounds fancy

so I moved in with a relative over seas, I want to poke around some weird places online but he controls the router and I'm very paranoid (he also does IT work). How do I hide my internet activity from the larger system?

dolphins aren't fish retard

Tor is designed to give oppressed people the means to be free.

It has easy2use options that can circumvent some types of network restrictions. Just try it as it is to see if it works. If it doesn't, launch it again and tell it that you're on a restricted network.

I don't know how good its anti-restriction measures are, I've never been on a restrictive network and needed to browse something shady.

its not shady activity, just weird porn. as far as I know there are no network restrictions. I'm concerned about monitoring after the fact, viewing web histories. Things I don't want to answer for

>Why don't the two of you ever talk?
Who, wut?

>that sounds fancy
Yep. He wanted to make a GPU actually, but fucked something up and got a 90 core CPU instead.

>Local network
>tor
kek
you don't hide mail from the owner of the mailbox by typing the fake addresses on the mails you put there.

I don't know how Tor handles web histories. AFAIC if it's good enough to get around ISP-level web history checks, which it is, it's good enough for anything.

I don't even know how web history monitoring works, I've never done it. Hell, I don't even know how local networking restrictions work.

No, but you can hide the fact that you're selling crack from the police by putting them in bags marked 'wheat flour'.

Also fuck you it was a 900 core CPU

>afaic

kek
also, checkem

>Krystal genetic modification plan. go
Well, it's actually fox genetic modification. Fox->Krystal, not Krystal->something. That's one.
Second, I never said anything about genetic modifications per say. But you can somewhat call selective breeding a genetic modification...

The only thing that could save you is secure, anonymous VPN. Emphasis on could. Depending on his
>(he also does IT work)
skillz. So yeah, technically you're fucked up.

Just because someone does IT doesn't mean he knows jack shit.

I'm fairly confident my project would have blue fur before getting the fox part down

anyway

okay other places online said VPNs, where do I find a non-virusy one

I happen to run a VPN server.

if I were running on a server you controled wouldn't that just expose me to the risk of you seeing sensitive information.

last thing I need is you black mailing me into being your slutty krystal clone after I get my project going

Police, polices "all" the people. He need to police just one. Frankly he can afford to check all his bags.

Your router with VPN function, is not a anonymous VPN high security server.
It's
a
toy.

It's worth noting that the way Tor works is that it runs your traffic through three other machines, so in effect it is 3 VPNs in a row.

If VPNs work, then so will Tor.

At least as far as web browsing goes.

>where do I find
You don't "find" one. You rent one. For shekels. That's life for you.
And if you going for cp you'd probably would use bitcoin shekels...

I'm not doing anything even slightly illegal, but I also don't want to pay

oy

Who cares?

We're not trying to get around Uncle Sam here.

yeah NSA already knows what I'm in to, this is a more local issue

...

Who cares, If his connection is not encrypted it can go though million VPNs/tor. Plaintext over tor is still plaintext.

Actually we are...
Well, I'm not entirely certain that his uncle name is Sam though.

Both are encrypted traffic.

uncle sam is slang for US gov

encrypted sounds promising

kek
You serious?

>Reply kinda fits to both.

...

...

its a weird hour for americans to be one, so he might legit not know, besides the thread is slow enough that I need to bump it anyway

...

I'm sure most VPNs are encrypted, otherwise it almost defeats the purpose.

My VPN is encrypted.

Try it on some semi-shady sites that you could explain your way out of first if you want, as a trial run.

Just don't expect it to be fast - I don't know how close you are to me.

...

yeah I'm still a little skeptical of using yours, as flattered as I am that you'd offer. Google is suggesting some free ones, but I'm assuming they're probably a little tainted

VPN stands for Virtual Private Network, not Encrypted Virtual Private network.
It can do encryption, yeah, but not like by default at all.

...

I used to use SoftEther to get around ISP-level URL blocks, because apparently pornhub.com is illegal is Singapore. It lets you choose a bunch of servers to tunnel through, mostly KOR, JPN and USA.

Now I just use Tor for that.

Except most are encrypted, otherwise why.

Gonna post some of my girl, Genesis

...

...

I'm poking around their site now to see if it will do this

...

verge and genesis are precious

...

can we get some awesome weasels here?

...

...

>most are encrypted
Did you actually check?

>otherwise why
I'll just post some Google here.
>VPN is a network that is constructed using public wires — usually the Internet — to connect to a private network, such as a company's internal network. There are a number of systems that enable you to create networks using the Internet as the medium for transporting data.

Hiding with them is just another usage people find for it.

...

I'm not sure if I have any, which is kind sad

That's like saying people eat food for sustenance and not because it tastes good.

Not, it's like saying people "invented" food for sustenance but cooking it, so it tastes good.

...

okay so if I get this VPN program thing running, how does this get me passed router and ISP tracking again?

Most food happens to be cooked

...

The way router and ISP tracking works is by seeing where your data gets sent to.

If you visit pornhub.com, the router and ISP will see that you are trying to access the IP associated with pornhub.com, and will track/block you or whatever.

A VPN or pretty much any proxy server will make it look like all your traffic is going to the VPN server's IP, instead of that of pornhub.com.

From the VPN server, it then goes to pornhub.com, or vice versa if you are receiving data from it.

Encryption makes it impossible to see what the actual data being sent/received is. But they will still know the first destination of the data, which will be the VPN server. After that, it's only the VPN server knows where the data is being sent to.

Tor does this 3 times. This is also where the "I'm behind 7 proxies" meme comes from, since you'd have to hack into all 7 proxy servers and get their traffic logs in order to rebuild the entire map of where the data has been, in order see where it was being sent to eventually.

so simply having it running should be enough

Verify that your data is being sent through it.

Go to whatismyip.

sweet, I'll try this tomorrow

also need to look at getting my own apartment out here before this drives me insane

Stop playing dumb. You know what I meant.

Now tell him how to verify if connection is actually encrypted. )

I'm sure most civilised people eat cooked food.

Though personally I've been craving raw salmon for a few years.

this reminds me that I need to check if unpasteurized milk is legal in this country

...

Just go to sleep, you silly thing.
