Best music streaming service?

I'm gonna subscribe to either Spotify, Google Music Play or Apple Music.

Which is the superior service?

spotify premium is the shit

I dont think I've tried google yet

I've had spotify a couple months and love but recently added apple to see if they get any new releases in the next few months that spotify doesnt. I prefer the spotify design but I am much more familiar with it so I'm probably biased.

also bandcamp

for your phone or desktop?

I got four months of Google play for free and it's really nice, although sometimes the app does glitch out.

It'll be for an iPhone primarily.

Tidal HiFi

>streaming music

download music using soulseek and periodically transfer it to your phone

you're not a cuck with no sd card slot are you?

RuTracker

It's getting tiresome.

I quite enjoy the prospect of using either Spotify's Discover Weekly, Google Music Play's customized "I'm Feeling Lucky" channel or Apple Music's "For You" suggestions to broaden my horizons.

I just want to know which is better at it.

why not just browse rym or read the wire like an autismo

Tidal. You could be listening to your music in MASTER QUALITY while the plebs haven't even gotten up to HiFi yet. Do you want to be a slave or a master?

>2017
>doing stuff rather than having it done for me

my main gripe with music streaming is that my wireless data sucks and is unreliable

I'm pretty sure artists who show up on this pay for it.

yeah it didnt take long to rope me into unlimited data

>being this guy

Deezer and using Deezloader

this

>streaming

Oh no, user, just no. The only reason I see why anyone would need to stream their music is if they don't have enough space on their device to hold their library or they have high data limits or unlimited data.

I normally would have never streamed my music if it weren't for the fact that my insurance-issued phone (a Galaxy S6) doesn't have an expansion slot and just recently upgraded to an unlimited data plan.

Spotify premium is kinda nice. You can download up to 320kbps to use while offline. Not great but that shitty either. Plus they have some promotions every now and then, like 3 months for 1€

Still, I'll back up other anons. Soulseek and iTunes sync is the the best option

I did the Apple Music 3 month free thing last year and I actually liked it, aesthetically and overall, but iTunes for Windows for me is an absolute nightmare. Extreme, extreme lag, the likes of which I haven't experienced with any other app.

So I signed up for Spotify Premium when they were giving a free Chromecast away and have been with it ever since. The app bothers me slightly because I think they should make it faster to be able to search for something (requires like 3 presses or so) but other than that I love it. But I stayed with it because it's good, the app doesn't lag, and I like the convenience feature of Connect where you can control what's playing on your computer with your phone, and vise versa. So I can be sitting on my sofa listening to music through my monitors and pause/change tracks/adjust the volume using the Spotify app, while it's actually all playing from the Spotify app on my computer

I know right what a crime

>if they don't have enough space on their device to hold their library
Yea, that happens to be the very issue. Soulseek + iTunes sync was exactly what I was doing, but I'll only be able to store about 400-450 tracks on my phone max. Not exactly ideal.

Ah I see. Well how many GBs of data do you have? Or will you have constant access to Wifi to make streaming worth it?

In that case I recommend Google Play Music. Although it's not ideal in terms of uploading and downloading your music, you can have 30k songs in your library. For free. You could also make other alternate accounts to store another 30k songs as well. That's what I'm doing, but I haven't filled up my song limit yet. I'm sure Google doesn't care just like with having multiple Google Drive accounts for storage.

Data is no issue which is why I thought streaming would be ideal and the music discovery assistance the various services offered would be icing on the cake.

Sounds like Google would be nice to upload what little I already have but I need to look at what the service can give me moving forward.

haha i know right XD? i buy all my music on vinyl.
cost me 500$ last month but it was worth it :))

>streaming

Personally I wouldn't be able to tell you about GPM's recommendations because I haven't tried it out. I refuse to subscribe to anything when I already have a big library of music. I think Spotify would probably have best recommendations just because they allow users to make playlists. But I think if you're looking for the less known stuff, all the services might just fall flat.

It's a matter of personal preference really. I just like GPM just cause I can store my music, and if I were to subscribe, I can download that music as well.

>people still resisting streaming
fucking jolly kek.

I understand the appeal of streaming, even if I don't like it, but there's something so much more satisfying about actually owning the music. Not to mention that some old albums (Dark Side of the Moon for example) require continuous playing with no loading or buffering between tracks to get the best out of them.

...

I use Tidal HiFi, which actually seems pretty fair given that I generally stream an artist which I like hundreds of times

I only know/use Spotify, but I would recommend you.

>Yet TIDAL has partnered with MQA to deliver something infinitely better: an authenticated and unbroken version (typically 96 kHz / 24 bit) with the highest-possible resolution—as flawless as it sounded in the mastering suite. And exactly as the artist intended it to sound.
holy shit

I've been using it for the past week or so and hearing little voices/sounds and shit which I've never heard in certain tracks. It's glorious.

i'm using it right now
some of the masters are actually just remastered albums that sound like shit

Buy CDs

Kek okay GRAMPS

The best service is where is no geo-blocking, sir.

>hearing little voices/sounds and shit
Schizophrenia.

haha i know right XD? i stream all my music on youtube.
cost me 0$ last month but it was worth it :))

All three of those have trials available, try them and decide for yourself.
I went with Spotify because it has an official Desktop OS app that is good, unlike Apple's iTunes and there's no official app for Google.

Lmaooo enjoy your sped up fucking chipmunk edits

I only use spoofy because it's the only thing that works where I live
But it's pretty good

Spotify Premium. Especially worth it if you can get it for free from your cell phone provider.

Spotify's recommendations are actually pretty nice. I mean, you're not gonna find some obscure early 80s Czechoslovakian field recordings in there, and if you happen to have a lot of mileage on you, most of the times it will just remind you of stuff you haven't heard in a long time, but it's not going to shill Top 40 stuff 90% of the time either.

Spotify helps me to masturbate and cum successfully, and serves as a mighty soundtrack to all the porn, fetishes and alchohol that I consume.

Try all three on trial and decide for yourself. I used to be a long time GPM sub and vehemently dislike Apple Music. Now I wouldn't go back if they paid me to, even though there's some annoyances on Apple (lack of web player, iTunes is shit on Windows, unavailable on Linux).

Whose fault is this - the services', or the labels? Maybe they would have more money to give to the artist if the label didn't charge them so much to have access to the library?

something about apple music rubbed me the wrong way, not really sure what. I only had it for 3 months

Getting youtube red is probably the best choice selection wise, considering most music you want to hear will most likely be uploaded their despite copyright claims (except king crimson). But keep it mind most of the time zero percent of the revenue even goes to the artist.

i've been paying for spotify with my university discount for awhile now and I have had an overall good experience, besides some minor interface issues it's good. Steer clear of the pre made playlists but discover weekly can have some dope finds every now and then.

I'd say both parties are to blame, desu. Catalogues are usually sold in bulk: streaming services are trying to buy them as cheap as possible, and labels have to sell them at a 'reasonable' price.

>Soulseek and iTunes sync is the the best option
This m8s. Soulseek > iTunes > Playlist & Auto-Sync is flawless.

>something about apple music rubbed me the wrong way, not really sure what. I only had it for 3 months
For me it was the fact that it's clearly heavily marketed to basic bitch mainstream trendy "hipster" and urban millenium types who are "unique". Seems slightly skewed towards females who fall under that description too.

I also didn't like the heavy marketing of performance exclusives for major mainstream artists

>loading and buffering between tracks
this literally never happens, it's all completely fluid.

>being this autistic

This. Desktop-wise, Spotify Premium is absolutely flawless. Mobile-wise, if you haven't got a good data plan (I have free Spotify Premium with free streaming data), you can always "download" the albums to your app, so you can listen to them offline.

It's true though, every time you open up Apple Music are you are inundated with a bunch of "deep" mainstream pop/R&B albums covers, as well as large, "deep" pictures of these sorts of artists.

It all feels very image-based (not a surprise coming from Apple) and also very corporate. Part of the appeal of music streaming is being able to play whatever you want whenever you want and being able to get away from what the labels shove down your throat over the radio, on TV, in pop culture, etc.

Of course, you can do this just as easily with Apple Music as the other services, but clearly the front page is owned by the labels

>a music streaming service displays pictures of music artists

Your autism truly knows no bounds.

You know what? You're really starting to piss me the f*** off

Go back to listening to Lemonade, Ed Sheeran, and The Weeknd for the 20th time this week you nu-male urbanites

I'm pretty sure you're making assumptions about something you don't know quite well

>a store has Coca-Cola and Snickers ads
>clearly you can only buy those things in it
Consider killing yourself, retard.

Vkontakte

>not being able to comprehend what you read
Not surprising coming from someone who clearly thoroughly enjoys perusing the front page of Apple Music everyday (or should I say "errday"? ;^)

Literally the biggest thing which puts Apple music over Spotify apart from actual content is the curated music collections. Those alone make it more for people who actually give a shit about music history and culture than anything else. Having article-playlists like 'The Early Berlin School' and 'Psychedelia in the 80s' constantly being compiled by highly knowledgeable contributors and sent to you based on your tastes absolutely puts it above the competition.

I'm currently using apple music which I signed on for cause of three months free but the UI is garbage and the nly thing it really has going for it is the massive amounts of money apple is willing to throw at it to secure early releases.

I'm thinking of switching to Spotify mainly because I'm getting sick of not being able to scrobble tracks when I use apple music

What fucking front page, you imbecile? It literally opens on your music collection. To get to "big deep pictures of mainstream artists" you have to deliberately go into Discover tab and click "New Music". There's dozens of reasons to not like Apple Music or prefer something else over it, but your inane babbling has nothing to do with it, you retarded faggot. Fucking KYS.

Spotify's discovery is my favourite, and i've tried all the big 4 in streaming. It really helps me masturbate and cum. Hard.

the remote function with spotify is totally worth it
