Best 80s action movie?

Pic related. Best action movie of all time IMO. Why were the 80s so based and so much better than any other decade when it comes to the genre?

>Commando
>Best action movie of all time

I understand you have an opinion which may differ from mine, but you can't seriously think this, right?

RoboCop, Total Recall, True Lies, Predator, The Matrix, Aliens, Lethal Weapon, Mad Max 2, Terminator, etc etc. All far better than Commando.

Demolition man is GOAT

Here is the most 80's movie of all time.

Only Robocop is better than Commando

>bad guys kidnap Arnold's daughter so he murders them all

Literally the best plot ever. The brilliance is in its simplicity.

ok but those movies are good movies that had a lot of action.

Commando is a straight up ACTION action movie. So OP isn't wrong really.

So this movie is pretty bad, but it's really got heart.

>A straight up ACTION action movie

Is that a polite way of saying it has the absolute bare minimum plot required?

MY MOTHER WAS KOREAN!
My FATHER WAS BLACK-AMERICAN!

oh fuck off it was very mediocre .

Want a good 80s action movie watch Lethal Weapn

Objectively those are better movies. Just my opinion. Favorite is probably a better word than best

No, it was a good movie. You're just a storyfag.

...

True woo-kin I don't think he's made a better movie

But it wasn't good on a technical level either, the action felt pretty badly done. Also annoying female sidekick that didn't really serve any purpose. I don't I just don't think it was a good movie and I couldn't enjoy it in a "so bad it's good way"

>Why were the 80s so based and so much better than any other decade when it comes to the genre?
More violence and filmmakers actually abided by the basic rules established by decades of film.

Predator is 10/10

Die Hard is literally the perfect action movie. Nothing is wastedb everything has a purpose, doesn't overstay its welcomes, mostly grounded in reality but has just enough stretches of the imagination to not insult you. I watch it a couple times a year.

Anything Jackie Chan is the best action movie of the 80s

Commando is up there, but I at least give you credit for not naming Mad Max: Fedora Road, as it doesn't belong beside those movies.

thread is about action movies not holiday movies

>80s movies
>1993

>these plebs don't know Deadly Prey

It can be both. It's the best christmas movie too.

His delivery of the "let off some steam, Bennett" line is the greatest ever.
