The one where Anthony rambles some drug-fueled nonsense about life in California.

youtube.com/watch?v=8F0WTD4Lvbo

John does kill it here though.

That one about bangin' a hot bitch is pretty awesome. The other one about doing drugs was really popular.

everything off blood sugar sex magik

>i know, i know for sure
>ching ching chong chong ching ching chong chong ching chang
what could he have meant by this?

A lot of the shows from the 06 tour weren't that good and Anthony phoned it in many times.

John had some good rhythm chops before he fucked himself with drugs (cf. Suck My Kiss).

wet sand

Most of By the Way (album)
Most of Californication (album)
Save the population
Snow

That's about it

Switch Californication with BSSM and you're right

is for

Tear is their only good track. Fight me, nerds.

nigger what
How much RHCP have you listened to be honest
It's not even the best song on By The Way

Venice Queen is probably their GOAT.

Breaking the Girl is a super close second.

Only song I like: youtube.com/watch?v=6ADTPb2f_44

I love Jane's Addiction, so I don't know why, but I just can't stand these guys.

naked in the rain

Breaking the Girl imho. One of the few tracks where Keidis' lyrics are cohesive. Honestly, The Keids is what's holding RHCP back from making some really good shit. Anyone who has seen them live knows that they are all talented musicians besides Mr.Tony Flow.

Scar Tissue
Give it Away
I Could Have Lied

I don't know if it's all Kiedis' fault, or if it's the fault of how the band functions. Kiedis is the only member I wouldn't praise - Flea is a great bassist, Frusciante was a great guitarist, Chad Smith is a great drummer - but while Kiedis' vocals are annoying, I never think "this would be a great song without the vocals." Instead I think "this is a boring, bland, annoying, shitty song." Flea can slap da bass with the best of them, but most of the time he's not. Frusciante can to fantastic psychedelic stuff with his guitar, but most of the time he does this awful, mellow plucking that's reminiscent of mellow jazz like Kenny G or something. It's like the problem is the entire structure of the way they do their songs.

Good musicians that ran out of ideas and inspiration 20 years ago.

On one hand, I agree with you. The majority if their music is uninspired on all fronts but on the other hand, I listen to their jams at various concerts and it sounds interesting which makes me think that they could have written better music. Now that I think about it, I wouldn't really want to listen to an album of RHCP jams either, so I guess you're right. I feel like RHCP is a hallmark of unmet potential in music. On paper, they should be making good music but in reality they just don't cut it.

The limitations of the 4/4 pop rock format are what holds them back. We know from Frusciante's solo albums that he's capable of much much more. And yes, they haven't developed any new songwriting ideas since BSSM.

When they'll all be dead #bestrhcpsong

Dude I love this band xD

>Kiedis is the only member I wouldn't praise

Great energy and stage presence though, at least up to the early 2000s.

That goes for flea too but he also can play bass well. Honestly, keidis' energy is the one thing keeping him from being completely garbage.

"Flea in all seriousness isn't that good. I mean, come on. RHCP were vaguely interesting in the late 80s, but Christ, they fucking suck, they suck."

By the Way b-side that didn't make the cut even though its one of the best songs they've ever put out.

They're rich as fuck.
A) have flea bust out his jazzshit
B) so with chad
C) have anthony return to poetry/rap and do crazy beefheartey shit
D) have klinghoffer play any instruments, can_style.

All too late, they turned to satan now.
Nab, use for myself as grid.

All of them, since they're all the same song.

But every album after BSSM sounds different...

Grow up child

this is the only right answer

Their Californication b sides are some of their best songs in my opinion. Better than the actual album.

When Mr.Bungle played some RHCP songs live to mock them they did a way better job at it than the Peppers themselves. Really makes you think.

Torture Me is probably my favorite. Otherside is runner up.
