Recycled over and over and over in this episode. Couldn't ignore it.
Bravo D&D

I noticed the woodcutting sounds from Warcraft 3 Human constructions in the Hound intro.

Haven't watched the episode yet. Anybody have a clip? That sounds hilarious.

Holy fucking kek are D&D Blizzard shills or something

I just realized that girl has a volantis prostitute tear facial tattoo.

Sincere Bravo. That's some cute continuity.

>it's real
Fucking. Kek.

There are stock sound effects that everyone uses. Pig farms in warcraft 2 make the same sounds as pigs in many movies and TV shows.

I hear coins but I don't think it's the same sample..

There's only so much an in house foley studio can do, so they use sound libraries bought from various stock audio places and often times the same sound effects get reused over and over.

Quit being such fucking autistic shit stains.

just finished it and thought the same thing. even when nothing was happening the sound would play

Most popular show on tv should have the funding to not have to fall back on stock sound effects like this.

Fuck me it sounds like background noise for an old Hoyle Casino game.

sounds like the gold sound from WoW

I had that game. I remember getting that 1m chip for the first time. It was cool.

>sound team didn't have enough change between them to make some coin noises themselves
>people defend this cheap shit
even if my autism senses didn't relate it to video games it was the same exact sound played over and over it's hard to ignore

Star Wars has a ton of reused sound effects from stock libaries, despite the fact that they have one of the most amazing sound studios every made.

That sound is burned into my brain after hundreds upon hundreds of hours.

I can safely say, they aren't the same sound.

they need money for cgi dragons, and to feed Khaloreesi

This entire was so cringe. Why the fuck do redditors jerk over Allen's acting? It's so bad.

This.
People here are really this surprised about it? For a good while in the 90s there was a stock door squeak and cat scream that were almost as common as the Wilhelm scream.

Why, when only the most strict viewers give a shit?

That's pretty autistic bro.

it's not about lack of coins it's about lack of time. when you have a big budget and short deadlines you have to cheat all the fucking time.

I used to be an effects artists, sound engineers are no different than us, they use what they have available due to time constraints not lack of skill or know how. You're reaching so far up your ass you can scratch your nose on this one.

This, it's the WoW gold sound, not Diablo's.

At some point they had to notice how many times they used the exact same clip though. Could have at least used the other stock coin sound once or twice
youtu.be/uQYoBvtEPWY
only used it once here but after the theon scene it was hard to ignore
>autism
yeah lol get over it anything else?

People who do this for a living fucking love putting these in for two reasons;

1 They are familiar to the layman audience subconsciously so they trick the brain into a positive response

2 They like sticking them in as an easter egg for nerds

Nerd.

They aren't making the show for autists and nobody else notices or if they do, they don't care.

man normies are kind of retarded then

Normies don't get triggered by repeated audio sfx

I heard it and thought I was still logged onto wow or some shit

That's definitely fucking world of warcraft and not diablo

>I can't do a good job in time so I cut corners
I expect the production team to at least have more passion or pride or skill than the writers of this dogshit fanfiction but it seems like everyone involved just doesn't give enough fucks anymore
just like me as a viewer I guess

i think the whip sound when she throws it sounds super fake lol

You realize you're a retard so your idea of what is retarded is all retarded, right?

Caring about this is retarded and lets normies spot retards

I always notice that sound used in Alpha Centauri during the attack phase:

It's not about cutting corners because people don't have love for it. I used to put in over 80 hour work weeks, sleeping in the studio or in the car then coming right back in. That's just how much work goes into a show you dumb fuck when deadlines are tight. For a tv series with a high budget they cut corners on some episodes so they can focus more time on the more complex shots. Why don't you go intern for a studio and see how it is you basement dwelling cunt. I promise you there's no scary Bolton bastard out there who will cut your dick off to be scared of.

You do know that exactly everyone does this, right?

Guys who service planes, guys who build houses, guys who prepare your food. The highest of the high quality shit has the lowest rate of error and the people who are the best at things make small mistakes when they do fuck up and also know how to cheat at things well.

This is a tv show. A hugely popular tv show with a tight schedule. The people putting this together know exactly how to streamline production so that it still comes out a product people will consume and enjoy.

Nobody cares about such minute, insignificant details. This isn't the toilet mounted where the stove should be, this is a ripple in the tape where the painters went a millimetre over the molding.

>actually defending Game of Thrones and its declining production values in the year of our Lord 2015+1
Why?

Habit.

blizzard didn't make those sounds

they were cheap as shit and a small studio

Why
Would you have some fuckers sitting in an office knocking on pans and emptying bags of sand? It literally doesn't matter

You hear the Rome: Total War attack sound effect a lot on shows too

...

OFF TO WORK

Yara won't be killed
>confirmed

got any examples?

I have the episode playing, and I also still play Diablo 2, and the Arya boatman scene does not have this sample, not even close.

people have no idea how often sound effects are reused, it's not laziness, it's just how the industry is

If you know what the wilhelm scream is, there's basically hundreds of those. It's just that the scream happened to become famous due to its generic usage in every action film when someone dies.

WORK, WORK

HBO series in particular are terrible about this. I started watching Rome the other day and they used THAT stock horse sound multiple times (sometimes in the same scene). lots of other ones too like the door creak etc.

it's immersion breaking. I don't know who considers themselves a professional sound engineer that uses those shitty noticeable stock sounds

that's not the diablo gold drop sound, it's the World of warcraft gold sound. when you add money to you pouch.

this

when margaery puts the paper into olenna's hand it plays a loud ass paper sound rustling sound effect, just in case you're a dense motherfucker that has no idea what's going on

This. There are sound libraries where you can buy what you need so the same sounds pop up in different places. One of the themes for Windows 98 had the same sounds as Terran buildings lifting off and landing in Starcraft. A Method Man song has the Scout attack sound in it. A DMX song has the Protoss building warp in effect.
