What's the minimum monthly wage that you would consider OK enough to live and not to care about money... and you would be comfortable with.. in your country?
I think 2500€ net (after taxes) would be the minimum for me to be comfortable. I make less than that.
Julian Brooks
I think €10,000 after taxes would be pretty okay
Aiden Reed
Not many people make that, after taxes.
Nolan Cooper
It's doable, I've almost finished med school
Henry Mitchell
Something like 5000 € and upward is sufficiently to live decently without caring too much about money.
Michael Howard
2100 after taxes
Landon Hernandez
Well, then. Only six years of residency until you're a specialist. and then it's another four or five years to become attending physician. And then... if you're lucky you'll have two or three years of good wages before the robots and algorithms take over your job. That is provided you chose a good specialty. Honestly... medicine is not the profession to get into if you're looking for a decent wage.
Zachary Jones
depends. It's a great choice in america because lobbists will try to hinder automatization of any medical work
Jacob Ward
Well there are limits to what can be automated. Robots are probably still far away from doing surgery, and people still expect human interaction when going to the doctor. I mean we still have cashiers, despite auto-checkout having existed for decades. But then again, the financial incentive to replace doctors is probably higher than for cashiers. Especially in the US. I'm actually in medical school myself. I regret it every day, a little bit. But worst case scenario, all the jobs are automated. The specialties that don't require a lot of human interaction will probably be the first to go. Pathology, radiology, probably anesthesiology, too. All the cool specialties that I want to do. But I can always start afresh in my thirties, right? I'll get a new degree, start following my dreams of doing R&D for a large car company somewhere. It'll all work out somehow. Suuuper worst case scenario, I'll just go to a war zone with MSF and work until I die in a bomb raid or something.

>out of uni less than a year >making 100k
good feel
still my apartment is shit because property is crazy here and im saving for a downpayment for a mortgage
Logan Wright
What did you study at uni? Also, how old were you when you started?
Luis Mitchell
Nobody wanted to remove cashiers because they are cheap. It's quite easy to replace doctors even now about people don't trust them so you guys have about 50 years to continue your practice
Andrew Johnson
I live well with 1000 eur a month. I make a little more but I save the rest. One of the perks of being a nerd is you don't spend much: a pc, internet, a console, a smartphone, some videogames. I don't really need anything more than that.
Ayden Reyes
Probably ~$2500 CAD net would be decent.
I make significantly more but i also live with my parents
Jeremiah Bell
>Also, how old were you when you started?
The usual age. I finished high school then went to uni.
William King
you didn't answer the question that matters faggot you may make 100k but you will still be a scared little bitch always on Sup Forums
Luis Rodriguez
Is rent that low in Italy? Cheapest rent you can find here is 600€
Hudson Lewis
Around 80000 ($1350) roubles. The average wage is 18000 ($300). Mine is 13000 ($220).
Jace Ward
my monthly income (daddy money + scholarship) is 2000 liras and while living in a different city in a rented house i even managed to save +10k liras -without even trying and not giving up much- so I guess it is enough. In Istanbul you might have to put up some effort tho, as pretty much everything is more expensive here.
Christopher Sanchez
Aiming for 190k public service cap but I'd probably be fine with 50k/month (after taxes though)
David Young
Eh. I think some specialties could be replaced relatively easy by machine learning and large algorithms, but I still think we're a few years away from replacing surgeons.
>The usual age. I finished high school then went to uni. God damn it. I guess there's no hope for me anymore. What did you study, though?
Jack Rodriguez
How much rent do you pay?
Anthony Phillips
i make around 2200€ and this is considered a good wage here. It's enough to llive in a decent appartment, drive a Mercedes Benz and fly business class to exotic places all over the world and experience adventures and/or luxurious relaxing. But i am also just Single and have no family. I think with family (wife + kid) i would have to cut some things and care a lot more about money. I think with family, a decent monthly wage would be 3000€ net.
Brody Collins
I should have mentioned I have property of my house, so it's just some tax. Rents vary a lot according to city and the house, but yes it's around that much.
Isaiah Campbell
True. Robots-surgeons are too slow.
Nicholas Smith
>tfw make 3k but absolutly no time to travel
Daniel Stewart
i would be pretty happy with 3000€
Matthew Reyes
I have read something about 13th and 14th salary in Austria in July and December. Is it a thing in Germany too? What is your yearly income?
