>strychnine

>testing positive for a pesticide

>no fun allowed

It unfairly disadvantaged the lifters from Turkey.

pffffffffff

Who gets the medal now?

kek well done

KEK

Good to see that Kroos and Muller's gender reassignment surgery was a complete success.

THOSE ROACHES HAD HARD LIVES, JUSTIN.

your banter levels are weak today.
post UK hotties, James.

Rahimov popped when?

>literally getting banned for coffee

How many positive tests until Sonny gets his medal?

strychnine doping is one of the stories of the infamous St.Louis marathon

Maybe.
Kazakh Jontron isn't though.
Neither is any kazakh.
>Head coach of kazakh weightlifting team for international competitions, Aleksey Ni has had 32 of his athletes controlled positive since he stepped in his position in 2008, making him the coach with the worst history of doping his athletes in history of weightlifting

>coach with the worst history of doping his athletes in history of weightlifting
technically he is the best doper.

forgot to mention, for the lulz
>bronze medalis Mohamed Ihab has already said he doubts Rahimov is free of suspicions
>he also added that many egyptian weightlifters are awaiting medals in retrospect for the 2012 olympics
Solid banter from Egypt 2bh

Canada is actually about to double their london gold count because of Russians and Borats

Why do these things come up positive years later sometimes?

The science for hiding it is well ahead of the science for finding it

In what sports though?

Lot of people and samples to test with limited resources and

Weightlifting

Borat won gold
Russia won silver
Canada won bronze and is going to be bumped up to gold now

New methods of testing, new compounds get discovered and old samples are tested for them.

"Steroids" aren't one drug, there are all sorts of them and athletes are always a few years ahead of the testers. The Strychnine the Kyrgyz tested positive for probably was used as a masking agent.

WELL CONGRATULATIONS, CONGOLOMBIA. WAS THIS A PART OF YOUR MASTER PLAN?

Very interesting stuff

So is it safe to say that Artykov was using it as a stimulant?

oh shit, what abou that armenian guy that got gold?

He was from Georgia.
And he had already been suspended for dopin, sooo...

not really, but the testing is done for known substances.
If a substance isn't yet known, you can't test for it. And creating a "new" substance is pretty easy organic chemistry where you can substitue one sidechain with a similar chain and have similar effects.
So the science isn't really behind, you just have to identify what they used before you can test for it

NOBODY CARES ABOUT OUR PLANS, WHAT MATTER IS OUR MEDALS

>tfw sports is already like F1 where you have a team of scientist to maximize human performance given certain regulations
It can't be helped I guess.

>maximize human performance given certain regulations
this applies to anything humans do, from economy to war to shitposting on mongolian yaktaming boards.

>Pierre de Coubertin, a French historian and founder of the International Olympic Committee, took disapproving note of the spectacle and made a prescient observation: “As for that outrageous charade, it will of course lose its appeal when black men, red men and yellow men learn to run, jump and throw, and leave the white men behind them.”

>colombia has plans they don't want anyone to know about
really makes you think

you will be the first brazil ;^)

I was hoping the bar would land on his head
