I really liked Antichrist, are his other flicks worth watching?

Pretty much all of them.
Breaking the Waves is really good. Melancholia. Nymphomaniac isn't one of his better movies but it's fun and I legitimately like it.

Dancer In The Dark is his hands down his best film

yes, all of them in fact

>I really liked Antichrist

>melancholia
>good

hate this meme, am I supposed to deal with banal wedding scenes because it sets the narrative of the movie?

Watch Dogville

Antichrist was ok.

This dude just strikes me as a guy who tries too hard to be shocking.

Meloncholia is good. The cinematography is gorgeous and the story is well rounded. It doesn't have that fedora edgelord quality that you see in pretty much everything else he has done.

>"I sympathize with hitler"
>"you could say I'm a nazi"
>that gaze Kirsten is giving him basically screaming at him to stop

Greatest director of our time.

yes

>I really liked Antichrist
spot the fucking pleb lel

when will /film/ be launched so i can get the fuck off this cancerous board?

Absolutely, almost everything he's done is really solid. And he has an incredible range. It's nearly unbelievable to me that Europa and Idioterne are by the same director.

He's done some really great stuff but I fucking hate the Dogme 95 aesthetic.

>Greatest director of our time.

he really is.

Europa is great OP.

Yes, you could say he's the Kubrick of our times.

>Antichrist

Was a slow burn but creepy.

When they're on the train to the cabin you can see single slices of her screaming in the film; it happens 2 to 3 times during the scene.

Then the whole shoes on the wrong feet thing.

I could see why a lot of people wouldn't like it but I loved it.

Chaos Reigns

Don't know why he doesn't get more discussion. All of his films are consistently good and more innovative even than highly praised Hollywood directors.

Breaking the Waves, Dogville, Melancholia are really solid hits to start off with. Then you can explore some of his other work.

Is your username darkvegetagorexX98? Because that describes most Trier autists.

This. Those three are easily his most accessible (along with Dancer in the Dark). Start there.

breaking the waves is so fucked up

Nimphomaniac is more accessible than dogville
