Tu tu tu

ki ki ki ki

it's monday the sixth. you have to wait.

The 2015 reboot was surprisingly good, as far as modern slasher movies go anyway

HE'S BACK

THE MAN BEHIND THE MASK

AND HE'S OUT OF CONROL

HE'S BACK

>2015 reboot
what

Speaking of being back, there is going to be 2017 sequel with Jason's whole family and Jason's backstory is explained.

Who should be cast as Jasons dad?

>free autograph
Thanks user

Tom Savini

Elias
Also the same producers from TMNT Back From The Shadows are doing it. Take that as you well.

>you are now aware it is 2017

wtf

>Jason's whole family and Jason's backstory is explained.

For what purpose.

>For what purpose.
Money

>same producers from TMNT Back From The Shadows are doing it
as if it didn't look bad enough already
holy shit as a f13 fan I am deeply embarassed

Possibly, we have learned of what New Line Cinema brought.

> p6 > p5 > goes to hell > p7 = p2 = p3 = p4 = remake > fred vs jason = jason x > p1 >>> p8

>no Freddy vs Jason sequel
I still remember being in middle school when it came out and all the niggers yelling about muh freddy

Why is Hollywood so evil and stupid? All they need to do is hire some competent director to make an old school Friday the 13th that takes place in the 80s. Neo-80s shit is really popular right now so it would make tons of money and the old fans of the franchise would be happy.

Anybody else remember that lucky sob in Part 2 that remained at the bar instead of going back to camp? I wonder how he reacted after Ginny got rescued and heard the news about the slaughter.

Controversial but I like it. 5 and 9 get a lot of hate but they're both so amazingly sleazy and weird. 7 is a gem too.

seriously this. Has no one learned from rob zombie's halloween remake?

Fuck off you hipster.
Friday The 13th had many parts

Because for some reason, modern directors are unable to recapture the feel and aesthetics of 80's movies. The Final Girls tried to do this, but it still fell through.

Sup Forums suggested a great idea for a F13th film set in-between movies 6 and 7. Movie 7 supposedly takes place more than 10 years after Part 6 so this new film could still work in the continuity.

Basically, it's set in wintertime at the abandoned camp and a group of teens accidentally release Jason. The cinematography of seeing blood on snow and Jason in the moonlight over a frozen lake would make this eerie as fuck. The final teen would have to sacrifice themselves to sink Jason in the water so that it doesn't contradict what happened in Part 7, thus being a dark ending where nobody survives.

Hipster? I watched the entire series when I was a little kid. Anyway, what's hipsterish about wanting an old school Friday the 13th? The best movies in the series were pure 80s cheese. The recent remake was okay by horror remake standards but it lacked the cheesy charm the best Friday the 13th movies had.

>The cinematography of seeing blood on snow and Jason in the moonlight over a frozen lake would make this eerie as fuck.

I want this so bad

>the companies are evil maaaaan

Probbly the worst rankings ever. I love 5 but its not even in the top 5.

Best Song

Don't forget that because it's winter, it's MUCH easier for Jason to track someone since there's footprints in the snow. Even in the midst of a blizzard, he can probably track them pretty quickly.

I'm surprised we haven't seen too many slasher movies set outside in the winter. It really adds a new spin on survival.

>the studio dindu nuffin!
>only hipsters are pissed that the studio is run by incompetent retards!
If you aren't being paid by New Line Cinema you should kill yourself.

9 I genuinely think is among the best body swapping films out there.
And it had one of the most mature well acted cast of the series.

Oh come on 8 is absolutely the worst.
And 6 is a easy contender for best.

Kickstart this shit and contact Paramount.

Mah nigga Ted. Was pretty ace to see the token funny guy live.

I want to see a sequel with him now, scarred for life trying to hunt down Jason like Paul Rudd in Halloween 6.

I thought the remake was cheesy enough. The only thing I didn't like was that tied up girl torture porn bullshit in his hideout that was so out of place. But the stoners, the douche blonde jock, the kills I thought were all very 80s in a good way.

>idris elba

6 is definitely the best but I disagree with the rest of your rankings.

That would be intriguing. Ted would have survivor's guilt since he survived by pure luck while all his friends got murdered.

based actor

Kek, I would actually be for that. It would be hilariously bizarre and out of place.

It would explain a lot of his mommy/mental problems.

You and your friends are dead
Game Over

Yeah but everything in between is fucked. 5, 7, and 9 above the first four? Why would you do that? Just

it would have been better if they dumped the whole "jason's hideout and tied up girl" thing. Also besides the blonde douche guy the rest of the kills were pretty un memorable. I also thought the ending was weak as shit and screamed "we have no clue how to end this".

5 is just fun as fuck, one of the highest body counts, a fun cast besides tommy. And one of the best chases of the series.
7 has the best Jason make up and outfit.
9 has the best most mature cast of the entire franchise and is among the best body swapping horror films out there.
1 is meh.

p6 > p4 > p3 > FVJ > remake > jason x > pt1 >pt2 > >pt 8> hell > pt5

How the fuck is 5 even faintly worse then 8, I defy you!

>is among the best body swapping horror films out there.
I was going to argue against this but then I realized I haven't seen many body swapping horror films. What ones do you recommend?

someone already made a poster for it

Where's part 7?

...

whoops

put it between 2 and 8

Wait for the Friday The 13th Game to come out

at least 8 has jason

kek

But 5 doesn't even have kiddie Jason. Its barely a Friday film. I still really enjoy it but eh several better in the series. And while I also like 7 and its got good makeup plus Kane's first time as Jason but Tina is the single worst final girl in the franchise and the telekinesis subplot is retarded and out of place. If there was no Tina and they just focused on the kids next door it would be top tier but Tina ruins it and since she's the focus of the movie it drags the whole thing down. Sleeping bag kill is still one of the best though.

I have no idea how someone wouldn't put Part 4 atleast in their top 3 though it's like the perfect slasher film.

Fuck yeah...gonna go listen to that and Dream Warriors song now.

Amy Steel was BEST Friday girl

What was that song?

One of the few who wasn't a massive pussy and actually was smart and fucked Jason's shit up.

delete this

Eh...she top 3, Steel is #1 though.

eric roberts

no he is

My favorite Friday the 13th chick

Sup Forums made a porn movie. I'm sure we can make a horror movie too. I will fund this. Set it up.

>People actually rating VI as the best movie
Holy fucking shit this movie is terrible
>Lightning brings back a rotting corpse that now has super strength
I just got done watching Jason kill those people playing paintball and I'm about ready to turn this movie off and watch "The blob" or some actual 80s Horrorkino
The Michael Bay remake is definitely better to be honest But not by muchThat feel when the remake takes place after the first Bayformers movie

Why are the scores on Rotten Tomatoes bad?

>>Lightning brings back a rotting corpse that now has super strength
You would have to be pretty autistic to get upset over that. The Friday the 13th series has always been nonsensical schlock. Anyway, VI is by far the best of the series. It has a great meta sense of humor and some really fun kills.

They're not good movies. I love them, but they're not good.

If you don't think 9 is the worst you are a confirmed retard

Top kek, do you seriously not understand that the ridiculousness of Jason Lives is intentional? It's a meta movie. I bet you hate The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, Gremlins 2: The New Batch and Scream.

What shit taste you have gentleman. Best girl coming through.

Underrated for sure, but I'm not sure she would belong in the top 10. Don't get me wrong, I would suck a fart out her assume while she does the Robot.

Woah wait Sup Forums funded a porn? What was it?

Also start a kick starter right now and I'll donate atleast 3gs if there's a good screenwriter in sights. I realise that is jack shit for a movie budget but a lot for me but id gladly give it for a quality retro Friday flick. And a second long credit at the end of the roll of course

MAKE IT HAPPEN

We didn't fund a porno but we helped write a couple. Some porno director called Dick Bush came on here months ago and asked us for help in writing a meme porno. We gave him tons and tons of memes to use. The meme pornos are called Meme Lover and Meme Lover 2: Dawn of JUST.

You know... I'm actually okay with the Jason origin movie.
Think about it; that shit didn't work for Michael because Michael isn't a character. He's a force, an embodiment of evil. Michael works best as a faceless killing machine.
But that's not true of Jason. Jason is a character. Jason has motives and has shown emotions. The audience is able to connect with Jason and feel sympathy for him, in a way. So I feel like a Jason origin movie could actually work out.
Plus, iirc, the directors said it isn't going to be all origin, just have aspects of looking into Jason's past.

Bahahaha those were for brazzers right? That's hilarious I saw pics on here for that last one. But no Pepe = no buys

Yup, they're for brazzers. Pepe is referenced in Dawn of JUST.

Dokken's nightmare on elmstreet...part II song?

it's pretty good desu.

Part III.

Part II was the one with all the gay undertones.

im glad they are continuing it but its stupid to try and explain him and go deep into his family life. Jason movies need to be simply fun slasher films and thats it. the reboot was perfect but everyone had to shit on it, and make the producers try to rethink their strategy and almost giving us a shitty found footage friday the 13 film.

I'm still hopeful itll be good though. hopefully they will make it a snowy environment, like a ski trip sortve thing. I know that talked about the idea before.

eh idk, maybe on second thought, it could work out, im just hoping they dont fuck up on the idea like they did with halloween.

main thing i didnt like about the halloween reboot besides the white trash, and the word fuck being said in every sentence was that they put michael in an environment where it seems to be understandable on why he became a killer, and made him too realistic, where i think it wouldve been better to put him in a nice family environment and just had him randomly become a child killer, and becoming the embodiment of evil, and a true boogieman.

My Bloody Valentine 3D was a great slasher-remake as well.

It's Rob Zombie's Halloween all over again.

Why did people hate the remake anyways? It's essentially a perfect remake: it changed just enough to make things feel new and fresh, while not changing things so much that it alienated fans. Turning Jason into a survivalist and letting him run was a fantastic idea and Derek Mears was a great Jason.

reminder that the next "Friday the 13th" will be on January & October 2017 according to the calendar

well a lot of people forgot that jason did run before he got zombified, he mightve even ran after that but i forgot.

mainly just typical stupid audience that were expecting something different. or expecing it to be scarier than it is. I feel like jason movies are meant to be somewhat scary or at least try to be, but also fun/funny with the crazy over the top deaths.

friday the 13 part 4 is my favorite. though corey feldman almost kinda ruined it.

>January
It's doomed.

Jason Lives is the only Friday the 13th movie that has some good writing. Every other Friday the 13th movie is pure schlock. I love them but you can't really defend them.

The best are part 3 and 4.

Always figured they'd try to work their way to a Part XIII or make a sequel with all the final girls and Tommy, kinda like the comics, whatever comes first.

Wonder what happened to all the girls after their movies.

>Alice: Dead.
>Ginny: Grief counselor?
>Chris: Recovering crazy
>Trish: Even alive?
>Pam: Even alive?
>Megan: With Tommy? She never learned her dad was murdered
>Tina: Child therapist?
>Rennie: Another grief counselor?

Jason Lives had better pacing than most of the films. Actually part 3, 6 and 9 all did. The rest of the films just wallowed like a bullfrog's fart on Crystal Lake but I actually liked the tediousness of those films in comparison. They're the comfiest ones for me, some way more than others of course. Parts 7,8 and 10 were the worst. They were the Star Wars prequels of the Friday series.

i still haven't seen jason goes to Manhattan.

trying to savor it up, for when i have some friends over and a good amount of doobage.

That Crystal Lake Memories docu is pretty damn great. A lot of those final girls still look bangin all these years later.

Asinine as fuck
By all means please explain how 6 was literally anything other than a rehash of 40 other films that just happened to perfect its insanely clichéd plot? I love 6 but it's on the level of the original Prom Night in terms of creativity. 110%,a carbon copy of everything before it. You're full of shit

youtu.be/ocgj9tewHso

The greatest scene in the entire franchise

Nah. IV is the most overrated film in the series, btw.
