They didn't have communism ruining their economy.
What's their excuse, poor genetics?

Actually they're doing pretty fine compared to greeks

eyyy look

the daily butthurt czech thread about portugal

They were soft socialist for a while after the seventies

Macau was portuguese just some years ago and Luxembourg is basically a portuguese colony.

Why is czechia so insecure?

Hello guys, what's going on in this th-

why don't they EVER czech them?

Not really.

Free tip:

To make good bait you have to post something so stupid and wrong that everybody storms your thread and you can swim in (you)s. Also try to target countries with the most posters like burgers and leaves :-D

Still I like it :-D

>I czech the flag, its the czech flag
Opinion disgarded

Alright, I'll bite.
>Poor
Yeah, but not as poor as you'd think. We get paid in 14 months, which skews our statistics a bit. We also have a great NHS and some great infrastructure (2nd or 3rd best roads in the world) from having been rich all those years back. We also don't have Germany to leech from directly by becoming a tax haven and having cheap factories in prime real-estate.
>aids
Mostly the junkies in the 90's which is under control. New cases have normalised, and only the old cases (which are under treatment) are holding us back.
>third world tap water
Mostly memes. Although a lot of our water in smaller coastal cities tasted a bit weird from being de-salinised.
>criminality
More memes. We're like the 4th or th safest country in the world.
>ugly people
No u.

I'll even add a couple more:

>lazy
No, that's southern Spain. We mock them too. Portuguese professionals abroad are actually pretty fucking hardworking, I hear.
>why did they lose this or that
Shitty rulers. Late decolonisation isn't a good thing, we had to pay subsidies to our returned colonisers and make major adjustments to our economy
>why are they not Spain?
because they think 10-1 is good enough odds, but they are wrong.
>why are they black
Memes. We're not, we have 97% European population.
>why do they sound so different from Spanish?
Actually the memes here are true. We have a fair bit more Suebi influence in our language than Spain, and less Arabic words/sounds.

Any more questions?

If you want to bait a hundred people just ask why are Americans fake-nice. It works wonders.

>They didn't have communism ruining their economy.
Lol.
The country is at this present run by a coalition of the Socialist Party + Left Bloc + Communist Party and the 1º Minister is Indian.

Jesus Christ Greece, no wonder they can't pay back their debts

slavs are uglier than portuguese

...

>We get paid in 14 months
?

Don't bully Portugal.

what about chinky slavs?

finnish women are ok

1 salary/month plus 2 extras.

kek

i think it is time to show the slavshits their place
like in real life

Every state/private employee gets payed in 12 months + vacation subsidy + Christmas subsidy, so 14 months.

Companies are obliged now to offer the option of paying the Christmas subsidy in dividends along the year, which a lot of people take, but everytime you see "minimum wage" or "average wage" in Portugal, it's being divided by 14 and not 12 like most countries.

It's still not enough to compensate and be the same as Spain (our only neighbour), but it does bridge the gap a bit more.

I really don't get why people think that Portugal is eastern-europe-tier living conditions-wise. Most of the people with worse housing and such are just stubborn old people living behind the hills.

I'm not saying we're very advanced, but life in Portugal is very very comfy, if stagnant, and beats anything in Eastern Europe with the exception of new opportunities.

The current state will not allow this to continue for a lot longer, sure, but for now Portugal is a hidden paradise of quietness, calm and great cheap food and weather.

Looks like its 20% better here than in portugal

but my cousin is living now in porto so I will visit her next month

Will see

>her
PICS!!!!!!!!!!

Whoa, what's up with Ireland?

She is 28 with one kid

Fukk of

Sounds like she's already been BARBOSA'D.

Kek, now I get why you're so mad in these threads.

>28
>Already have a kid
3º world ghetto whores

How did you let your cousin betray her race for a brown cock?
Are you a cuck?

Lel no

She spend last years heavy working some fucking corporate job and she jist burn out

So she takes 1 year holiday and moved to portugal coz she was there during erasmus and liked it

Her bf is paying the bill :)

>she was there during erasmus and liked it

>1 year to do nothing only fuck her moor brown cock
>she was there during erasmus and liked it being fucked by brown cocks
What a fucking whore she is.
Don't be a cuck, don't go there and spit at that whore face next time you see her

Lol no

She is like 180cm and most portugese guys are under 170

>She is like 180cm
Yeah, upright.

So she enjoys manlet brown cock, even worse
Don't be a cuck renegade her from your family.
Say to her that you don't want to hang out with her brown boyfriend and brown kid

She's probably beating some Alberto in the face with her tits as we speak, lol.

Thanks for explaining this, now I know.

Fuck my cousin, fuck my country, fuck my race, and finish on my face

BROWNED

Portugal is an objectively excellent nation/people.

The thing is that the older parts of our country were never subjected to commienism, so they weren't ran down or destroyed.

They're old and beaten, but it's a rustic type feel, not the austere look of the ex-soviets or central Europe. Much like the poorer parts of Italy, landscape-wise (Spain is closer but its stereotypical landscape is a lot drier). Being a warm country also helps a ton, and Portugal is and has been very isolated from large wars for hundreds of years, and just endured a bunch of occasional invasions.

It's top comfy.

No its not, the government is 100% Socialist Party. There is a parliamentary accord between the 3 parties which is far from being an actual coalition.

>Socialist
This means Social-Democrat for foreign people. All our parties have their names shifted one seat to the left because of the right-wing years.

Yes, the Socialist Party has been a centre-left social democratic party since the late 70's. The communist party is still pretty much communist though.

Yes, but then they are the ones keeping the bullfighting going, and the ones that own the most private property.

Better than the SJW Bloc, but still.

I want to get out of this leftist cuck country

bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-04-28/one-nation-in-europe-wants-refugees-but-is-failing-to-get-enough

Kek. It can't help that we put the ones that came right next to this guy, so they left.

Ahh, i live some 10km away from that glorious piece of art, in what is probably the only city in the world that features severed heads in its coat of arms.

>Portugal is the only country in Europe where tax payers pay for new Mosques
I hate this cuck country

We're so sick please send help

moooooooortugal
haha

hahaha

What year is this graph representing?

>>I really don't get why people think that Portugal is eastern-europe-tier living conditions-wise.
they dont, youve been on int too long friendo

This is why i'm moving to the US

2006-2009. It's way lower now

No, even outside of Sup Forums I find that people are often surprised by Portugal's quality of living.

I feel like the westernmost eastern Europe countries (Czequia, Hungary, Slovenia) may have better capitals, but are even more centralised than we are, and the rest of the countries' are doing worse than our non-Lisbon cities.

Which pisses me off because there's a clear centralist mentality going on. Thank god one of the next elections candidates is gonna be someone from Porto, which might decentralise a bit if he wins, since Portuenses typically are more against Lisbon-centrism than other places.

Looks pretty accurate

fuck estonia lol fucking poor fucks

All other big cities are nice here

Brno, hradec kralove olomouc, ceske budejovice, pilsen etc are more comfy than prague

What if i told you that I'M 170CM

CHECKMATE

Maybe, this is just my perception. I just had the feeling that it was more lopsided towards the capital in your countries, mostly because of war-damage over the centuries, whereas we have something like 10-12 medium sized comfy cities outside Lisbon or Porto metro areas.

But capitals are never comfier than 100k-200k population cities, anyway.

What the hell

V4 were thorougly raped by commies from all directions and angles for half a century while the Portugese were always a free country ruled by themselves, yet they are still poorer than countries who started with nothing but corruption and decaying industry in 1989.

Sad!

> while the Portugese were always a free country ruled by themselves

Ever heard of Salazar?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/António_de_Oliveira_Salazar

You need to start doing your homework little Germany.

Portugal is in a weird geographical position where we will never prosper during peace times. We're to far away and are too few to be extended commodities or have easy trade routes or high population density advantages.

As such, we're at our top potential when Europe is at war, because we can simply just avoid it, and use the quietness differential to prosper.

Seriously, both the Protestant war and WWII were the times in history where we've gained the most money.

No company will build factories here unless our salaries drop do much that the extra transport price will be worth it, but then the country improves and the salaries rise and the transport never goes down.

We're also severely hurt by Iberia having a different rail gauge, so we can't have a port that rivals Anthwerp or Roterdam even though we do have the facility in Sines, because any rail transport would require a rail change. We could be the middleman for any Chinese/African/South American and even North American traffic otherwise.

have been there a couple of times, from the Spanish point of view:
>Poor
Better than the East Europeans but the worst in the West
>Aids
Not now and not that much
>third world tap water
Yes
>criminality
Is a safe country 4 tourist, they have pickpockets gypsies and all that south mediterranean thing
>ugly people
hairy women and darker than spaniards but are ok
>lazy
just like the average spaniard
>why are they not Spain
Spain don't want, they don't want, is better that way, the only region that is near to the spanish lv is Porto
>why are they black
Mediterraneans r tanned
>why do they sound so different from Spanish?
the average Spaniard can go there without knowing the language and can talk to all of them
Is a nice country and cheap, got lots of nice things and people and a great history, could be better, sure

>the only region that is near to the spanish lv is Porto
What, where like 60% of the population lives?

Besides Lisbon, the only population dense areas are from the Mondego up, where the quality of life is indeed better.

>darker than spaniards but are ok
I disagree. I feel like we're all paler and less tan than you (more rain and clouds where most people live and whatnot), even though the base skin is about the same.

Everything else you said is just about true.
