50 words a day is at most an hour and a half. If you spend the rest of the time doing grammar, you'll be in good shape after 100 days. I think I went through all of Tae Kim's guide in just under a week, it isn't that long.
The only problem is, dedicating 3 hours a day can burn you out easily.

you set up an anki deck after every word then practice those and have an hour of something just reviweing

Go for it if you can, but ease your way in. Don't try to go ham or you'll burn out like a lot of people.
