Quality vs time graphs by DIRECTOR
ill start
...
>no Dune and A Straight Story
>Eraserhead, The Elephant Man and Wild at Heart that low completely out of personal shitty taste
Good fucking way to start a thread, pleb
wild at heart is shit
SHIT
...
You are one of those assholes who likes the worst thing by an artist, aren't you? You pick a band and latch on to their worst album. You are that guy. Right?
havent seen Dune and Straight Story.
>Eraserhead, The Elephant Man and Wild at Heart
I meant to put Eraserhead above FWWM and just below Inland Empire, didnt notice for some reason.
also Elephant Man and Wild at Heart arent bad movies, theyre just not as good.
>Twin Peaks, Inland Empire, Eraserhead, Mulholland Drive
>his worst
...
penis
>inland empire
>good
pick one
more like badlands in the middle and all the rest under the line
Do people actually like Inland Empire? I mean I respect the concept and the balls it took but it's just a bore and it lacks any good cinematography that would give it merit
>War of the worlds above spv
Kys you contrarian fag
...
Dreadful taste.
Its quite accurate actually.
worst ive seen so far.
seems legit
Lincoln is oscar bait
>Last Crusade that low
>AI and War of the Worlds that high
>AI higher than Empire of the Sun
>ET same level as Empire of the Sun
why even live with such a shitty taste?
>Minority Report lower than A.I.
>Empire of the Sun not even on the chart
Yeah no.
Minority Report is a generic sci fi action movie.
Empire of Sun I left out because I tried to avoid Oscar Bait.
I didn't care for SPR outside a few scenes to be honest.
I found Last Crusade slower than the others, it's alright though. AI is his most interesting film to me. War of the Worlds, his most entertaining.
How can you not like ET, it's a classic.
>Man I fucking hate ET. Most overrated movie ever
>leaves out Empire
>keeps all the other Oscar bait
t.
And Minority Reports themes and subject matter are hardly generic, lad. Although I'll concede they might be a little lofty for the average Spielberg fan.
Yeah wasnt sure about some of the movies, some felt unique despite being oscar bait.
I'm not a spielberg fan, hes had his time, now he is just creating nothing but bait.
Minority report was a generic sci fi movie disguised behind pretentious ideas. The story was fucking predictable.
What was pretentious about it? I found that the central theme of predestination to be very solid framework for the rest of the plot. The entire film is peppered with smart little ideas and setpieces that played with the concept.
Someone make one for Nolan
Shitstorm ensued
this
>Fear and Desire
fucking lol
When I get to my computer later I'll make a non-meme Kubrick chart.
Actually making a not meme one famiglia. Can't not honor those gets
Prestige should be way higher.
Other than that not too bad.
how to spot a pleb
Pretty good
agreed. Also Inception is overrated
Jurassic Park is a good film meme
how to intrepret these
what means time vs quality in this contextual?
everything is a meme meme
The Following the best of the films. Everyone who think opposite is stupid fuck.
Very poor post
Time = Order the films were released
Quality = How good the film is
Go back to school, Juan.
Ah yes, the typical fucking loser who thinks his taste is so superior because he likes the most obscure film from a famous director.
I bet you think "My Best Friend's Birthday" is Tarantino's masterpiece too.
Four rooms or Jackie brown is his best
Almost all of Tarantino's films are shit. And you definitely wrong about me. I watched Following first time about 2001-2002, I don't remember exactly when it was, but I defenetly remeber that it was amazing film (I don't even knew who's director of it) with one of the best character of all time.
bump
name the director
Godard.
not the guy who made it but that was my first thought too
Refn
Soderbergh
Duncan Jones
francis ford coppola
Close, but apocalypse now is better than godfather 2 and Dracula is better than godfather 3
M. Night Shyamallahuakbar, obviously
...
Literally no one ever.
Malick
Gibson.
Kevin Smith
Snyder
my sides
Most directors tend to get better by the age, some have shining works in their earlier filmography but overall quality keeps improving.
It's just that plebs watch 1 film and rate rest shit because they think director should pander to them and rate what it isn't or rate what it should be instead of critiquing what is
Oliver Stone
>generalizing this much
Paul Thomas Anderson
Tarkovsky
Days of Heaven is better than everything but tree of life
Passion is better than apocalypto
Bingo
Are we judging the movie as a whole or strictly the directing?
...
More or less
...
Snyder
well op said rank their filmography so i assume the film as a whole
I haven't even heard of some of this shit I've seen on IMDB.
But I unironically think Apocalypse Now is the best movie ever made.
...
Roland Emmerich
That has to be James Cameron
Tetro is really good
...
...
literally what it means
Take a look at this guy
...
oh shit nigger, what are you doing
Godzilla, 10000BC and White House Down are solid movies. The Patriot and Independence Day are good.
George Lucas
>ranking movies
what a pleb thing to do
>Sup Forums is srs business
Haven't seen the other 2
>Placing TP season 2 over Blue Velvet and Wild at heart
wew
I'm surprised how big this got
>Godzilla, 10000BC and White House Down are solid movies.
lmao
>Terminator not his best
You have to go back
Has there ever been a more consistent director in history?
Hasn't been a more mediocre director either
Reservoir dogs should prob be higher for me, but im too lazy to edit it at this point.
Kingsman was a drop in quality I think
Memento is my favorite Nolan film as well.
