japangroids was unfairly panned by p4k but positive word of mouth by more thoughtful listeners has been strong. yes, their songwriting can sound repetitive and cliched to untrained ears, but near to the heart of life is a cohesive mission statement in an era of singles albums. i've listened to it close 300x since christmas eve, and it never fails to grow richer, surprise me with each new spin. worth a listen to anyone who may have skipped bc of p4k.
