Is it true Europeans who take Thier license test in an automatic get an automatic only license?

Is it true Europeans who take Thier license test in an automatic get an automatic only license?

Do you know anyone with one? Is it embarrassing?

you cant take test with automatic atleast here

only disabled people learn to drive automatics, and yes if you learn in one that's all you can drive.

im not memeing btw, you will have to find a specialist disabled client instructor.

Yes. I have a manual drivers license but drive automatic. Because my car is connected to the internet and refuse to put a gear in his place with a fucking stick.

Not nearly as embarrassing as that creature you posted

Way it works in Australia
Learner (120 hours)> Provisional 1 (1 year)> Provisional 2(2 years) > Unrestricted licence

Basically if you do your Provisional 1 test in an Automatic, you can only drive automatic until you graduate to Provisional 2, then you can drive stick if you choose

Automatics are a godsend for cities which are bumper to bumper traffic, i ride a motorbike, but despise manual cars in cities, would drive a manual if i lived in the country though tbqh

Why do euros drive manual?

True here.

Not embarrassing.

Unless you are a child

It's the manly thing to do.

My dad says it saves petrol

If you take a manual license "test" you get to drive every kind of car.
If you take the automatic you are only allowed to drive automatic.
I don't know anyone and I don't know if there's any driving instructors dumb enough to get an automatic.
At least in Bulgaria it's like this

Never understood how you're allowed to drive a manual after never having driven one before. It's certainly not something you can pick up without practice like with an auto.

no, you get a license to drive every car auto or stick, doesn't matter.

I work for mercedes and about 80% are auto which are shit, I honestly prefer stick, can't understand how people prefer that.

only retards and women (my mum) get automatic only licences

Yep, it's true.
It's really embarrassing for a man to have an automatic only license but it's acceptable for women to have one.

its like that in shitmany
but cars with automatic are not common in europe like in america
i just know a guy who did this

Automatic transmissions are too pricey and it costs too much to repair them.

it doesnt matter when he drives a nice car while a camera films the death of a slavshit in a lada

that's the case here but nobody I know drives automatic because that itself is embarresing and/or rare

because why not? it's not like it's hard to do or anything

>embarrassing
dumb ass, what is embarrassing is not being able to afford an automatic car in 2017. like seriously

Yes this is true, if you do the automatic you get an automatic license and are only allowed to drive you guess it. But if you get manual you can drive either. If you cannot drive a manual here, then yes you are seen as a retard.

I got my licence 10 years ago and I missed this, but now every driving exam is recorded with a couple of cameras. So one of my female coworkers is married to this guy in his 30s and he went to his first driving exam and failed and you apparently have the option of watching the exam on the Internet (with a code or something) and she watched it and later nagged him how stupid he is. Just wanted to share this story.

After driving for a while and being comfortable with roads, it pretty easy to pick up driving manual. I drove to the shops 3 times with my mate in the car critiquing me. After that I drove fine on my own.

But, I had already knew how to ride a motorbike which helped.

Are you that much of a fat lazy cunt that moving the gears yourself is too hard?

Yes. You get a little code 78 next to the B category. That lets everyone know that you can only drive an automatic.
It's getting more and more popular to just take the automatic license, though. Most new cars are sold as automatics, so having a manual license is pretty useless unless you want an old car.
I took the automatic license first and then took the manual a month later because I was invited to go on a roadtrip in an old volkswagen.
It cost 3500 NOK or something to do the test again, so now I always recommend that people just start out with the manual because you never know when it might come in handy.

General consensus is that automatic cars are for women.

parking, reverse, neutral and drive... you can't "feel" the car for just touching a stick and let it do the driving itself, manual stick is perfect for getting you out of shitty situations and with manual license you get to drive both types of cars.

of course i am lazy because it is stupid to keep pushing the clutch pedal and switching gears every second in a stop and go traffic which you have pretty fucking everywhere. manual would be fun in a race track. but in a horrible traffic in your crowded cunts? come on.

But automatic cars are more efficient.
And they shift gears faster and better than you.
They are objectively better.

more like for poor people
bicycles and manual cars. and clothes lines. that is so european.

After WWII Europe was a mess and working to recover, they needed cheap simple cars flying off the assembly lines. So everything was manual.
Unscathed America was living the high life and started cranking out big fancy automatic cars with all the bells and whistles.
Just look at US cars of the late 40s and 50s vs Euro cars of the time.

This.
Automatic it's for fat cunts

>And they shift gears faster
Only the most advanced and expensive cars switch gears better than an average human.
The trick is - the machine doesn't know what you're going to do next but you do so you can change the gear accordingly.

tip: don't drive through cities retard

The main advantage back in the day was that they were the only car you could pushstart. My parents generation all drove old British wrecks that could crape out any time due to their age and build quality, so it was important to be able to push start them.

hello, it is 2017. you don't need to "feel" anything.
and all auto cars these have manual mode if you really need to "feel" it. but auto will do the job better than you anyways.

It's illegal to take your test in a car with automatic transmission.

>And they shift gears faster and better than you.
how shit are you at driving? Honestly, unless you're a spacker your gear changes should be silky smooth the vast majority of the time.

disagree, the only good thing auto have is that long drives become comfier because you don't have to keep your foot constantly on the pedal but modern cars already have "cruise" mode in them.

where do you drive?
your little island is fucking packed with cars.

>current year
>autocucks

>mfw manual cars are more expensive in my cunt
That's why i hate not living in a meme country

You can do that on an automatic, too. Way faster and more efficiently, because the new gear engages as you disengage the previous one. And you don't need to depress the clutch yourself. The car does it for you, better than you. This is the case in everything from an VW Golf to a Ferrari 458. Ferrari doesn't even offer manual gearboxes in the 458.

World class racing drivers can't shift better than an automatic car can shift for them. You may be able to shift smoothly. But not as quickly and efficiently as a modern car can on its own.
