Listened to this for the first time.

Thoroughly enjoyed it, a lot more than i expected, i might even love it.

what does Sup Forums think?

They're from my hometown my buddies aunt dated the guitarist, muy decenté

Mr. Bungle is extremely underrated

neckbeard-core

That's the thing though, it's only really neckbeard if you obsess over it.

They really manage to be technical and avant garde without being pretentious, and the songwriting holds together well. It's just good.

doesn't seem that way to me people talk about how great it is all the time

i haven't liked anything patton has ever touched though

Bazinga

They only have a few albums, but they are all great

It's a masterpiece just like their other two albums.

I have so many good things to say about this album...the sampling is unparraleled. One of the most distinct atmospheres on any album

and are also right on the money

Ignore my horrendous misspelling of unparalleled

i alwaws hated the end of slowling growing deaf i mean, why? fucking WHY? i can't say that is one of my favorite albums of all time because always people ask hey that's not the record of the pooping and i have to say y-yes i mean the rest of the album is incredible and that bit ruins everything what they were thinking? lol this is so artsy and ironic we are making you hear somebody pooping hahaha really really fuck you mike aptton i hate you

Disco Volante is their best album

Faggot.

i don't listen to circus music

Essential stupid Halloween party soundtrack-core.

This is meant to be a compliment.

I used to love it (and Bungle in general) when I was younger but I overplayed it to the point where I can't listen to it anymore, plus it seems a lot more cringeworthy now. I'd probably say it's the worst out of all their albums

Took long enough. At least we got this bait out of the way.

It's definitely their most juvenile.

:'(

Mr Bungle is pretty amazing, and it makes me sad to see them get shit on here.

You should check out California next, op. Mike Patton has a god tier voice

FART xD

what are the essential Patton side projects?

California is their best album. That is just proto-numetal really, only because assholes copied them in the worst way, especially with the mask shit like slipknot and mushroomhead did.

I've been a Faith No More fan for a while, Patton really is something else

The only good Bungle record. I remember when it came out pretty good stuff.

California and Disco Volante are betterr

One of my favorite albums best of Mike Pattons work is Mr. Bungle

>he doesn't listen to circus music

This.

>best of Mike Pattons work is Mr. Bungle
I think you mean Fantômas

Awesome album.
Go check out California from them, amazingly well written.
Disco Volante more harder to get into, and it took me a while, but it sounds like nothing else.

If you want more easy to listen from Patton, try his solo album like Mondo Cane. Sounds like California pt.II.

If you want more crazy from Patton, try Fantômas. Pretty fuckin insane. Also the Ep he made with Dillinger Escape Plan, Irony is a dead scene, is awesome.

Ive discovered a couple weeks ago that he made the soundtrack for Cranked 2. Crazy shit only Patton could imagine.

Tomahawk
Peeping Tom
Fantômas

mr. bungle
residents
butthole surfers
tism

what else is similarly irreverent?

It's great. All three of their albums are. One of my favorite three album stretches too cause they're all so different.

ween
won james won
crotchduster

Such a great album, i got into them in the weirdest way possible
i got into marc ribot and then into john zorn, who produced the album
if you like it try california, its basically this but more pop, less funk metal
if you still want more, check disco volante
i think they are a band that takes music with such lack of seriousness, while obviously being passionate about it, which sometimes makes me laugh, like the beginng of girls of porn, or carry stress the jaw, even without lyrics, their sudden shifts from genre to genre are so great
