Yeah because Pablo Honey and The Bends are so universally loved here lmao
Last I checked this wasn't reddit

College Dropout- Jesus Walks
Late Registration- Touch the Sky
Graduation- Flashing Lights
808s and Heartbreaks- Street Lights
MBDTF- Gorgeous
Watch The Throne- Otis
Cruel Summer- Clique
Yeezus- New Slaves
TLOP- Father Stretch my Hands parts 1&2

Damn. Fair plays. That's about as close as you can get for him.

I appreciate the detail down to Silly Boy Blue and all.

>Sweet Thing Medley
>It's Gonna Be Me
>Stay
>Subterraneans
>The Secret Life of Arabia

Absolutely 100% fucking agree, basically, all overlooked. Subterraneans is one of my favorite songs ever. Stay is never talked about; everyone says they love that album but I never hear anyone talk about its parts. That one's always stood out to me, I love it so much. Good job on It's Gonna Be Me; I love what he ended up replacing it with, but he never should have done it. It was absolutely THE song of the album, aside from the title track.

pablo honey ok, but the bends is

Debut - Venus as a Boy
Post - Possibly Maybe
Homogenic - All Neon Like
Vespertine - Harm of Will
Medulla - Pleasure is All Mine
Volta - Dull Flame of Desire
Biophilia - Virus
Vulnicura - Stonemilker

>I love what he ended up replacing it with, but he never should have done it.
..What did he replace it with? I need to know which track to be mad at. (I have the 11 track version so I can't be mad anyway but still)

Another Side of Bob Dylan- Ballad in Plain D
Bringing it all Back Home- Bob Dylans 115th Dream
Highway 61 Revisited- Ballad of a Thin Man
Blonde on Blonde- Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands
John Wesley Harding- I Dreamed I Saw St. Agustine
New Morning- If Dogs Run Free
Self Portrait- Days of 49'
Blood on the Tracks- Idiot Wind
The Basement Tapes- Tears of Rage
Desire- Sara

Okay, I'll try it

yeah it's really really good, i'd probably put it behind kid a and ahead of ok computer.

The original version was eight tracks, and ended with Fame. He'd just about hammered it out by the time that John Lennon paid a visit to the studio, they became good friends, bitched about his poor management, and collaborated.

With other restructuring and time-length cuts, the ones I put it on are the Across the Universe cover and Fame, mostly. Can't hate them, but they're the clearest ones. It was all a loss, though, I'm getting the feeling it didn't have enough time to gestate as an album and really reach its peak.

I still love what it is, and a lot of it's worth it for me to get Win and Fascination, shame about everything that got cut because it's amazing. Check out the Gouster remaster/reorder they put in the newest boxset for the general original ordering.

>He replaced 'It's Gonna Be Me' with that shitty Across the Universe cover.

STGSTV - Alvin Row
Campfire Songs - Doggy
Here Comes the Indian - Hey Light
Sung Tongs - Winters Love
Feels - Banshee Beat or Purple Bottle
Prospect Hummer - Prospect Hummer
People - People
Strawberry Jam - Cuckoo Cuckoo
Water Curses - Street Flash
Fall Be Kind - What Would I Want? Sky
Merriweather Post Pavilion - In the Flowers or Daily Routine
Centipede Hz - Today's Supernatural
Painting With - FloriDada

To be fair, he really replaced it with Fame but with the way records worked back then, they then went "Well, fuck, we still got a couple minutes left and none of the rest will fit, what do we do?"

Still should have been Who Can I Be Now? or something, it really feels like 90% of what got cut from Young Americans was the best stuff outside of the title track. They also added Win and Fascination, which absolutely weren't losses. Should have been a double album or something.

Fun fact, Lennon specifically said he thought that was the better version of the song.
