Some tracks will be longer than my usual releases and I'm finishing songs I recorded but abandoned over a year ago.
Anyone willing to help with some guitar parts or additional production?

Hey check out a label I run with some friends! Our second compilation is coming out soon!
i forgot to put that its ocean grunge and vaporwave
Dave here
I recognize a lot of previous vaporwave in this (like Mac Plus). Cool work though, I like the first track best.
I listened to Hell Songs and really enjoyed it. Is it a label of you and your friends or various random people? I'd be interested in releasing something through your label too. It's got a nice theme to it all.
I'm not in the band, but I found this about a week ago through rym and it's pretty good:

>guitar & piano
>free downloads (NYP $0)
this is actually really good
i hate the album cover aesthetic but the music is pretty tight
sounds pretty sweet my man
and yes, i can guitar
the first track is good but the other ones are a huge fucking mess. There's a way you can turn messy guitar fuzz into good music (see: Jimi Hendrix) by selectively using it, and doing it well, but right now it's all over the place and just sounds like shit.
this is actually cool as fuck
Unexplained Aerial Bursts
>spacey indie rock with shoegaze and ambient vibes
Only Here to Leave
>sad lo-fi indie rock

>instrumental ambient space rock and stuff, UFO conspiracy inspired, tape samples and shit

Great sound, beautiful playing and wonderful vocals.
Really like nowhere fast
Oh cool, do you have an electric guitar? An acoustic would sound out of place for what I've made.
>shoves glasses so far up nose the lenses injure my retinas
It says bandcamp thread
But in seriousness, you sound like you just aren't confident, the vocals are quiet and lack any enthusiasm or boldness, it sounds like you're afraid somebody in another room is going to hear you.
The lyrics need a lot of work, nothing memorable. Production's good though.

>Check out the new album Algae Blooms. Lots of improv ambient experimental workings; let me know how it sounds!
I'm really liking it so far, sort of feels like if Pygmalion were a post-punk/post-rock album at times. Other times it's got Eno-esque ambient moments. And while I'm making comparisons, it's worth noting that it doesn't sound like it was aspiring to be anything specific and maintains a unique edge that way. Really liking it. Gonna download for a full listen.
Eternal rec. If you haven't checked Yamir check Yamir, folks.
Also this, love this, heavy rec.
(Me)
any of you guys put out anything in 2017 yet? got any big plans for an upcoming release in current year? let me know!
Hey thanks man! Yeah I don't know that I was going for anything in particular; just kind of messing around honestly haha. Thanks for the kind words!
I'm I've had a new album in the works for a few months which I hope will be my best to date and I plan to have it out in the next 2 weeks. In the future though I might try to stick to collabs and working with bands, I feel I'm not just not talented enough for solo writing.
I guess my new album will decide if I keep going or just go back to working with others.
I put out one album so far and I've got two that are nearly ready to be released. Gonna space them out a little, but one's gonna be wrapped up within the next few weeks.
is me.
My album is almost done, gotta redo a track then do some more mixing, but basically it's close to being done

We got a couple tapes available if anybody wants one haha. We also are gonna be releasing a fuck load of material soon.

Yeah it's a label of a bunch of friends I go to school with/work with! Glad to hear that you were stoked on that release though, definetly the most left field tape we have put out.

Kinda like Beck's Mellow Gold but it's bad.

>it's bad
>I suck btw
Listen, I get where the self-deprecation is coming from, nobody wants to seem like they're blowing their own horn or anything but if you say your music is bad I'm not going to listen to it.
I don't speak for everyone, but I'm sure I'm not alone in this mindset. Think of a better marketing strategy.
I don't have marketing strategy, I just record for my own fun
Bump.
I dont care if you dont listen. Honestly, I just post here from pure routine and mostly check others people stuff anonimously

Hey guys check out my new EP, it's rock like American Football and Brand New and stuff. Pic is the album cover
This I think came out literally a few minutes into 2017. A lot of new BC stuff is dropping soon from the looks of it. This gon be a good year.
Can't wait ;^)

Here's my first EP, it's like American Football and Brand New. I'm pretty stoked about it
>semi lo fi very ambitious DIY amateur avant-garde pop schlock with homemade crap orchestra and all kinds of doodads
>experimental leaning, the occasional sound collage, field recordings, etcetera ad nauseum
>fetishization of esoteric instrumentation, unusual timbres
>a singing ability that can only be described as "arrested-pubescent

Amazing label with outstanding indie artists. Keep up my man.
I'm checking algae blooms rn
Well produced, great dreampop, but I liked Grow House better. Maybe because this kind of shoegaze is not my thing, sounds too dry and sterile (main reason Loveless isn't my favourite)
Punchy drums and surreal guitar playing, quality post-punk
>midi guitar pickup
for what pvrpose
I love how these random sketches work with your imagery.
definitely heavier than a death in the senpai
heavier than 2 deaths in the family
It's a pain in the ass to organise a label like that, and doesn't really pay off
Btw your song is pretty good, but yes, the distortion could have been beefier

Again not sure for the genre tags, I'd like to know if you have something that would describe it better.
Reccs :
Lots of stuff there. I like American Grandma - Sensation / Forever, nice production.
I finally took the time to give Unexplained Aerial Bursts a full listen this morning. I really dig this. Great textures and I love how well the tracks flow into one another. 3 o'clock is a beautiful piece.
Also still digging this.
I like A Study in Noise, cool track.
I've released my new and I guess first EP 3 or 4 days ago if you're interested.
