What's EDC?
Electric
Daisy
Carnival
literally whom?
Only one I know is Skream and that's just from his one remix he did like 5 years ago.
Did Daft Punk created EDM or house music and what is house music?
EDM since house started in '83
Todd Edwards > Daft Punk
But isn't house part of EDM???
Can someone recommend me good electro ?
Well funny you should ask, yes and no.
See in the beginning, there was Jack, and Jack had a groove.
And from this groove came the groove of all grooves.
And while one day viciously throwing down on his box, Jack boldy declared,
"Let there be HOUSE!"
and house music was born.
>no skrillex
Shit list
The fact that this general exists makes me want to die .
Why?
No worse than most music on this board right now.
literally who is todd edwards
>the state of poptimist cancer on Sup Forums is so high it's started having /edm/ generals
No.
Fuck off.
EDM is an umbrella term for all electronic dance genres
Kinda like how terms like 'Rock' and 'Classical' work
Lol, because pop-rap, memerap and trap is better lmao
then why do people in here sperg out whenever you post anything that isn't trap or big room shit
Rock is a genre with subgenres, not an umbrella term
because the shit you're posting you can't dance to
here are some of the "tracks" you assholes have "shared" in the last thread

Reposting from last thread, bless the user that posted it.
holy shit this is some futuristic stuff right here
Honestly the sound design on this track has some of the most innovative styles I've ever heard. The rumbly bassline, the weird tribal percussion sounds, the shuffled drum beats (whoa!), the random jamaican vocal samples, the chill chords in the background. Like who would have ever thought to combine all of that random shit into one song and have it turn out as an actual banger.
...
Right? That drum is fucking orgasmic.
Read that in Turnys voice lol
*turny voice*
i feel so bad for everyone who's only recently getting into dance music cuz u missed out on the best years....
Bass House is my favorite new genre.
are you people fucking serious? this is just bait Speed Garage with EDM production on top. Most of the elements here are straight ripped from really obvious tracks of that era like "Ripgroove", "Dangerous", "Gunman", and a couple others I put my finger on.
Morons.
Whatever user, if I can get more of this style I'll take it.
fuck off hipster
Hi Speed Garage
i don't get it?
that fag was talking about how Joyryde "SUPPOSEDLY" ripped off some no name produced called like Speed Garage or some shit
best links posted itt so far
lls
lol sounds like jungle
Ironic retardation is still retardation.
>Speed Garage
>the name of a producer
It's a genre you absolute melts
ooo n1!
any mumdance fans?
just because we like different music than you doesn't mean we're being ironic or retarded
wrap your head around that one
it means ur genuinely daft then lol
>if you don't like my shitty idm, you're stupid

wow this not PLUR
fuck /bleep/

no i'm speed garage

no I'M speed garage that was just joyryde in disguise

it's called braindance for a reason lol
this thread would be 10x more active if it were on Sup Forums lbr
can we stop this literally 12 year old /bleep/ vs /boom/ bullshit? i enjoy both and anyone who calls themselves an electronic music fan should too
except their music sucks
its the predecessor to all modern EDM, user. unless youre some underaged little faggot you should know this and appreciate it
that doesn't make it good nor does it make it EDM
whoop whoop!!
>coki
>benga
>Distance
They make some good music. Funny how coki did get the genre going with spongebob
Let's bring this bad boy up.
Anybody want to talk about excision?
Blegh he hasn't been good for like 10 years
He's still a respectable figure in dubstep. He makes some good stuff to be honest
Agree to disagree on this one friendo
First up for neon grave preorders.
Disappointed for no krimer remix
Don't get me wrong, he does make some bad songs, like final boss or africa, but for the most part he's solid. Any space laces or datsik collab tend to be huge, especially funk hole and deviance
you are MEAN!
ya excision and datsik were sick 10 yrs ago
space laces uhhh nah
Never listened to his soundcloud, which is pretty much inactive. Apparently space laces has a pornhub and it's more active. Give his older stuff a listen, then to his more current stuff
Coki's fucking ill, especially for his time. Shit like goblin, sqare off and spongebob still goes hard. Glad to see Cluekid on the list as well.
To be fair, I like what /bleep/ puts out, but there isn't that flair, because they're all old records. It's good to listen, because it gives you a better idea of music that influenced parts of modern edm
his more current stuff is borderline unlistenable I am sorry
Porter Robinson is Good and Owsla is a Good record label
Lls
>giving a Shit if it's listenable
I can't stand metal simply by the screaming but I get why people like it. Also, if you listened to throwin elbows, it isn't the best one. Say it ain't so, disco bloodbath, deep space, and bugbass are some good ones
by "unlistenable" I mean these are awful tracks
Do you even think that this is made for your listening leisurely? It's meant to be played at all these fucking festivals and shit.
Porter was good in 2011-2012.
I find his new stuff okay. Worlds is overrated, and isn't the best, but it's up there
I would not want to hear this played live lol
>this
Specify what track? You give me no context
Say it ain't so, disco bloodbath, deep space, and bugbass lol
They are bad? Man you must have some really shitty taste in music
As a regular /bleep/ lurker I honestly don't get the petty rivalry going on here. It's really fucking easy to just appreciate old and new for what they are.
Most of the /bleep/ threads are britfags and germans that have the "Resident Advisor mentality"
It's just salt from "no drop!"
Stupid to be honest, even if I like drops, appreciate the effort before it.
I try to put in stuff like moody good or noisia but then they start to rant that they don't like this and that and how edm is cancer and so forth
HUGE bangers in this one, friends
youtube.com
I know it says "jungle" but it is mainly EDM
This is pretty good jungle
aye, 'tis, but keep that stuff in bleep, please.
that is a tune, NOT a banger okay?
It's still a "edm" song, even if it's older. It did have a influence on EDM and DnB. Also, have this:youtu.be
Is RYM decent for finding good singles and EPs?
Im looking for an EDM music video where it has bunch of little robots working together in a society, then one of them starts eating away at them becoming bigger eventually consuming the world. Really specific but i remember liking the music on it. Someone help me out here
Whats the genre?
Im sure it was EDM i think Lotus was in the name.
Putty boy strut by flylo
You are a fucking god compared to us mere mortals~!
>Putty boy strut by flylo
THANK YOU
Interesting choice of a video for this type of song
