Is China the most significant/influential country when it comes to music??

is China the most significant/influential country when it comes to music??

Ru4reel

Per capita they're probably the least influential literally

No

Yeah, it's hard to be influential when the society is structured like a financial rat race.

And also it's relative self-imposed isolation

Why would they put the statue next to an empty field and a forest?

How about per capita most influential?

Norway?

>Songs are screened to make sure there are no anti-party lyrics
It's shit desu

No. Definitely Iceland. They only have a 330k population and their music scene is god-tier.

You're probably right.

UK is impressive too if you're looking for a bigger populace.

>over 1 billion chinese people in the world
>not even one internationally known chinese solo artist

it must suck being chinese and finding a reason to live

What in the last two years? Does Bjork even still live there?

Yeah it's only real competition would be australia

For least influential? Australia is fucking awesome.

Not really, for it's population/resources it's easily one of the most under performing countries in the world, and when they do put out half decent bands it's usually a just a copy of something british/american, literally zero identity musically.

Significant innovation is hard to come by these days anyways but now that you mention it. Fucking Pogo? Trumpular? Australia fucking rules I don't know what you're on about.

Yeah she still lives there. She has a house in New York as well but doesn't stay there most of the time.

India is objectively the most important country when it comes to most of the 20th century's artistic developments

Mao did nothing wrong

You could argue music from the past 20 years is just rehashing it's own ideas over and over no matter which country you point at.

Ben Frost

you definitely couldn't seriously argue that if you know what you're talking about.

to be fair, the only indian artist I know is Tunak Tunak guy.
