Peak Angelina.

agreed
angelina + short hair = best angelina

One of the comfiest, most entertaining and most quotable films ever made

>WHOA SHES GOT A 28.8 BPS MODEM!

Do people today even know what that means enough to know how outdated it is?

shut up, faggot

I love how ZC gives this look like "okay, now this is even too fucking cheesy for this movie" when he sees Plague on the side of the car

An enjoyable cultural curio.

What exactly is your point?

90s movies about computer wizards are goddamn glorious.

See also: The Net

literally hackers: the film

It means that technology and the internet has progressed so far that I doubt people even know what that means and why it's funny from a modern standpoint

Sneakers is better. Debate me

Didn't watch it, but I gather from google it'a completely different movie and cannot be really compared with this one

The Plague doesn't give a single shit, best character in the movie

Probably the best movie ever made.

To each their own, but IMO Sneakers is just an average caper film that copies a hundred other movies. Nowhere near as unique and memorable as Hackers

>but I gather from google
opinion disregarded
just watch sneakers dipshit

Don't know what this is.
I may watch it later, thanks, pal

Did y'all know there are three soundtracks to this movie?

Yeah but oh man,
wouldn't you just love to get one of those
Gibsons, baby? Ooooh!

youtube.com/watch?v=gsNaR6FRuO0

that's right kids, being good at computers will get you laid by 10/10 gamer gurlz

>kek

It looks so crispy

Please, that first guy she was fucking didn't know shit about computers. Obviously she's just thirsty for cocks.

The true heroes of Hackers. What those pogues did to get out of being framed, Razor and Blade just call 'Tuesday'.

You know what, I think Anglina might just be one of those women, who likes men with a bit of a brain.

Maybe that's why she is such a good fit in this movie.
Well that or just her being Angelina Jolie

I love that "here comes the cavalry" scene, always gets me pumped

>w-whats this pi symbol on this website
>oh its haxors, very dangerous, don't look at it

It helps that their chemistry is real, they fell in love and got married IRL

And look how it ended up. No chemistry, just hormones.

...

Why isn't hacking irl as cool as this movie?

What's the first movie?

>Why isn't hacking irl as cool as this movie?
Kung fury. You can watch it free on youtube

Anyone remember a short-lived hacker TV series from maybe the late 80s. The one scene I remember is when someone is departing on a jetliner and the hackers for some reason need to prevent them from leaving and they hack into the airport's computer and instruct the pilot to return to the gate.

Because hacking IRL doesn't have a pretty UI.

This.

and this

DON'T CALL ME EUGENE

I AM THE PLAGUE

>you will never become immersed in a wave of abstract mathematical symbols and equations
I'm okay with that feel t᠎b᠎h

LOVE YOU
LOVE YOU TODAAAAAAAAAAY

Just because it was a flash-in-the-pan romance doesn't mean there was no chemistry. Also they're still friends apparently

>separated after 18 months

HORMONES

>you will never code a beautiful purple-and-orange fractal worm to steal money from your ISP
Feels bad, man

>HORMONES
hormones are a part of chemistry, literally

I would know since I hormone'd you're mum's chemistry.

You see her tits, so it's good.

Are there any movies about phreaking? A bunch of neckbeards making free calls and selling blueboxes is certainly harder to glamorize than hacking.

There is phreaking in this movie...

Biology =/= chemistry, as any biochem prof would tell you.

Hackers is to the 90's as Lost Boys is it the 80's

Kickstarted my fetish for short-haired women.

There's a whole documentary on it.

Ubisoft thinks it's pretty rad

>He never had a glorious 9600 baud modem
Git off mah lawn bro

Moms gona phreak

this movie is so fucking perfect at what it does

i don't know how anyone can't enjoy Hackers

Well, sort of.

HACK THE PLANET

Damn your psychic ways OP, just rewatched this earlier today. I'd forgotten how good the soundtrack is - muh 90s electronica.

On the other hand, it's to blame for every time some sperg makes a hack the gibson reference at a con.

>On the other hand, it's to blame for every time some sperg makes a hack the gibson reference at a con.

Please tell me they don't actually do that...

Hasn't changed much since last thread. Classic movie.

Its the best movie about hackers ever made.

No, literally.

A recording of some tones and tapping out 0 on a phone is pretty lightweight bruv

So was phreaking by the 90s m80.

you should probably watch it then

>yfw you realize before becoming a homicide detective Bunk worked for the secret service hunting hackers

I consider it an integral part of my childhood, together with super mario 3, the phreaking bible and my first telnet attempts at getting access to AOL with 10. the last two things directly influenced by this movie.

before I go to sleep, my happy place is that kind of life. I dream of having friends like in that movie, I would still like to have such friends. just coding, having fun and having sex.

>>hack the planet bros

You know, I just might give it a shot.
It's been a while since I watched a movie about hacking, there just isn't much of them around

> Razor and Blade
One or both of these characters will be crossover-ed in Mr. Robot.

Thinking about it that's a fair point

I hope your dream comes true user.

I went straight home after seeing it in the theater and tried to grab "Zerocool" as a screen name on AOL. Yea, someone else already had it.

>on AOL

Yeah but the coinboxes were an unending supply of pizza money that was refilled every day.

Crash Override was a better handle anyway

Plague best handle

>before I go to sleep, my happy place is that kind of life. I dream of having friends like in that movie, I would still like to have such friends.

I knew more about coding with 11 as I know now, remember dling that first CotDC BO scriptkiddie package

youtube.com/watch?v=wlMvYx11V-Y

you had to beg the operator to refund your coins

It's a different style of movie but if you like this sort of thing in general it's enjoyable.

>post 90's screen names

I was Triton

>You now remember using usenet for actual conversations and early shitposting

Not if you knew how to open and close them without damage. Once they were open you play with the guts for your free calls as well.

Hellcow

Splinter

RedLegion

Only real difference between the alt.tv subs and Sup Forums threads is the lack of ascii art.

Crypt Keeper
PimPMaCdaddy
Pimpsterflex

Sesame Street Names (because all those cool gangster style elmo photos were surfacing)

Nightwolf

Deathlord

>....

That figures. I was shitting up groups like alt.cyberpunk at the time.

Dang bro

any of you managed to hack anything in the 90's.

what are your early attempts? I remember trying out the phreaking bible on some coin phones.

>yrw you found out there was a Hackers 2

As in the rat?

youtube.com/watch?v=fQGbXmkSArs

I """"hacked""" my brothers computer.

He put a password on it.
So I took one of his old harddrives that still had windows on it, installed it in his computer, and used that to go online while he was at work.

I like it.

I knew the internet had changed when names like xXfaggoXx started appearing
