You're right. I'm not really sure what I could be working on to improve my skills as a guitarist though. I can play most chords, but aside from that I'm pretty mediocre.

What most people tell you is to learn scales, but i honestly never cared to do so. I have a good pitch hearing so i can play most songs by ear and I can create my own tunes by memorizing the sound of each individual note on my fretboard. it's something very rewarding to learn.
