>not illegal can't get mad Reversing in the pitlane is illegal but apparently there's no rule about reversing on the grid. Pascal said he knew the rule and as long as you correct yourself before the first set of lights come on then it's okay. Supposedly Charlie Whiting looked up and saw him, so if Pascal had waited a split second later he would have been DQ'd and no points.
In the DTM the pit crew tell you over the radio where to stop since you can't really see the wheels.

Baku was better as a GT track. Not everything has to be an F1 track. They held a couple of WTCC and GT3 races and all of sudden out of nowhere they get an F1 track.
I only did this so I could go back and watch myself, but thought I might as well share if anyone is interested
It definitely has some small bugs, but pretty happy with the game so far
Christian Young
Old Imola was based. Post-1994 Imola was just another Mickey Mouse chicanefest even though it had to be done after what happened. It was a great track for video games, but the actual racing became noticeably less exciting.
Hudson Gonzalez
God I hate the Sierra Club for what they did to that road. Even just paying the toll and driving up there just to drive up there isn't as much fun now that it's paved clear to the summit.

They had them in 2014, they do them in the middle of big moments though which is kind of annoying

it seems pretty good so far. it actually looks like it's a new game with new graphics. Not just a small update with new skins like 2014-2015. Codemasters kept hyping how it was an "overhaul" compared to the other games. Does it keep track of each of your power unit parts in season mode? So you have the 5 limit for MGU-Hs, turbos, battery packs, etc?
Carson Hernandez
BRITAIN IS GONNA CHOKE IT NOW, THE WIN IS 100% GUARANTEED TO ANYONE BUT HAMILTON GAHHAHA AND HOW WILL YOU BRITKEKS EVER RECOVER

>Does it keep track of each of your power unit parts in season mode? So you have the 5 limit for MGU-Hs, turbos, battery packs, etc?
I haven't seen any of that so far. They've focused on the r&d in career mode it seems like which is pretty cool, you can choose what parts of the car get upgrades and you have to earn them somewhat realistically. Setting up the car seems kind of difficult, I feel it could be better
Angel Lewis
take a quick peek at that power unit while you can. F1 teams don't like leaking information.

I think it was something with the rear wing attachment, so when DRS was activated it weakened the engine cover and the wind blew it off.

So from those comments from the American last thread about V8's I am ready a couple of articles from supercars
The reason V8 is gone from the name is there is going to be gen2 supercars added which aren't necessarily V8's. Also something to do with selling the naming rights. They seem very very adamant that V8s will continue to be raced and keep their DNA
Carter James
>chicanefest Of what chicanes are you talking? Variante Alta and Variante Bassa have always been part of it. As a matter of fact, Variante Bassa is not in the current layout: the track is pretty much flat out from the last corner to the Variante Tamburello. And as for Tamburello flat out being gone, the corner that's now in its place actually requires skill because it has a curving breaking point. Clssic Tamburello in a modern F1 car would just be a Baku-style flat-out kink.
Samuel Bell
Also some things about ford pulling out of v8s
Isaac Kelly
Okay, maybe that was a bad choice of words considering there were a few chicanes beforehand, but the track was butchered to slow cars down without really adding anything of substance to the spectacle. Alta and Bassa were both tightened significantly, which made them less free-flowing and made the lap feel more disjointed. Alta at least provides the occasional fuckup, but what they did to Bassa just ruined what used to be a great run from Rivazza to Tamburello. Tamburello or Villeneuve one being slowed I can accept given what happened, but changing both from kinks to effectively chicanes made Tosa a lot less exciting and the run-up to it feel more start-stop. Even when they changed things to make a section faster they fucked up. The old Acque Minerale was a rare good chicane due to its location at the bottom of two hills that was more tangible challenge than easy way to slow drivers down and now it's completely forgettable.
The FIA ruined Imola in the name of safety.

>filename kek
Jonathan Kelly
I can accept that. But to me the fact remains that the current one is still a banging track and I always feel it's been unjustly nostalgiad to hell. Still, it will probably suck in modern F1 because, but in my opinion just adding one more no-overtaking track isn't going to make things much worse: at this point better Imola than another dune Tilkedrome. I do disagree with this, though >Tamburello or Villeneuve one being slowed I can accept given what happened The post-Senna changes were stupid knee-jerk reactions, just like the current attempts to introduce the Halo. You can't prevent freak accidents.

volvo are leaving. holden are only sponsoring 888 next year.
rumors of holden teams running turbo v6s. at a guess, so will nissan.
the commodore replacement (insignia) has a turbo v6 and the nissan sedans in the market have a v6, but maybe they'll choose to identify their sedans with skyline gt-rs instead.
only ford on the local market with a v8 is the mustang... with plenty of turbo i4s around.
I meant for free of course, user. But good to see it does actually exist.

End of pay to win era Tv rights and merch equally distributed amongst teams. Then they add their own money but all manufacturers must agree on a cap. Drivers are assigned car randomly and everyone rotates car each circuit Extensive preseason testing so everyone can try assessing cars for a bit Winning by legislation of the rulebook must stop, no new tech gets banned if it works but car makers get only 3 years of privacy on their improvement for the current year, after that public domain. Fans can read the blueprints after that Each season the worst driver is eliminated from f1 for ever. Teams must find someone else All the boring tracks fuck off from the rotation, new circuit designers are welcome At the end of the season, fans vote (third) on one circuit to be replaced at the end of the season. The eliminated circuit can try to be reintegrated the 2 years after. Drivers get to vote (another third) Manufacturers get the last third of the vote.
Drivers have a meeting at the end of each season to modify rules relating to safety and the manufacturers can veto the changing of the rules but they must agree on a majority.
I think power should be split evely between car makers, drivers and the public. A bit like separation of powers.
Ecclestone can fuck off. He's the reason money and rulebook bickering are destroying all the fun.
