Surrender Bread

Eggy bread and it's eaten as a savoury thing often with tomato sauce.

The idea of having it with something sweet doesn't sound nice imo

This is the only legal way to eat eggs and bread here.

I bet you put sugar on your omelettes too.

Armer Ritter

br*t detected

how are those eggs even cooked?

What does it taste like?

I'm guessing they're poached

>savoury
Fucking kill yourself.

lardasses confirmed

Eggy bread and French toast aren't exactly the same thing. French toast is when you put cinnamon and maybe a bit of sugar on eggy bread. It wouldn't serve to mix tomato with cinnamon & sugar, but, as with all things in life, maple syrup pairs quite well with it.

It's the same as hard boiled eggs except with far shorter cooking time.

tartine

You just crack them into boiling water?

"pan toast" or "butter pan toast"

poor knights

That's some sad looking french toast.

Is he dead now?

Soft boiled. The Krauts eat them like that but served in an egg cup.

Arme riddere
"poor knights"

Poor as in the meaning not about wealth.

that's almost what it is, you are supposed to do it with the leftover baguette from the last day, when it's too dry and you can't eat it anymore

hence the name pain perdu "lost bread" because it's done with the shit bread you wouldn't eat anymore
