Forst for hendrix prefered gibson

>GOAT
that's a brazilian, I know it's hard to distinguish but please respect him

hendrix died young
coincidence ? i think not

Thoughts on this legend right here?

reminder it's not what your idols prefer it's what you prefer

and you prefer a fender stratocaster

everything else is just ricer shit, a strat can do everything

Soneone offered me a peavey windsor 100 and fuzzface for my fender precision bass

Im going for big mids and riffs with a qotsa sound. Is this a good option? Probably gonna sell the pedal

i wish he could give me the tipp

Clapton started sucking after switching to fender

I hate strats. I hate their shape, I hate how cheap they feel, I hate their necks, I hate their aesthetics.
I will never own one and will continue to play what I like.

Please stop projecting your insecurities on to the rest of us and just play what you like.

holy f*ck i am literally creaming myself over a metal player (NOT)

There's no reason to live after getting a gibson, youve accomploshed the greatest of life's goals

Singlehandedly sold more Schecters than Mark Knopfler.

>avenged sevenfold
>metal
Top kek, theyre as metal as acdc

List the Top 5 guitarists who have influenced your playing

ZZ Top
Leonard Cohen
That guy who wrote Wonderwall
Bryan Adams
Bruce Springsteen

1. Kiko Lourerio taught me to look for outside influences to make your playing more interesting.
2. Marty Friedman taught me to get creative with bends and vibrato.
3. Paul Gilbert basically taught me how to pick play lead. I spent years of my life watching his lessons.
4. Buckethead taught me to try and create beautiful and emotional clean melodies.
5. Dave Mustaine taught me to play fast and technical and to try to make more interesting songs. Instead of just chug chug chug.

Rate and critique.

Chet Atkins
Duane Eddy
Les Paul, Mary Ford
John Williams
Paco de Lucia

marty fridmans bends and vibrato sound gay as fuck though

>1. Kiko Lourerio taught me to "literally who?"
>2. Marty Friedman taught me to watch anime and eat pocky
>3. Paul Gilbert basically taught me it doesnt matter how good you are if you write shitty music
>4. Buckethead taught me to be a special snowflake and "lol so randumb"
>5. Dave Mustaine taught me the inportance of being fucked up all the time and being a hypocrite

Rate and critique.

Not sure if serious or not.

he sucked at metal in america so he learnt japanese and tried to cash in on being a cliche gaijin rockstar in japan, and since japs have literally shit music taste he was successful

Can i get a quick rundown on the Fender Dimension bass?

I started playing guitar because of Michael J Fox in Back to the Future

>he sucked at metal in america
Still not sure if serious or not.

>Dave Mustaine
So you have 4 guitarists in your top 5 guitarists.
7/10
Not a fan of Kiko and Dave hasn't played his own guitar tracks in years due
to his lack of coordination from drugs taking their toll on his body.

is there any reason to play guitar other than to play old dadrock blues riffs

Billy Corgan
Josh Homme
J Mascis
Steve Albini
Omar Rodriguez Lopez

yes, but that's the best reason

>Look up guitar demo vid
>pentatonic blooze noodling

ay lads where's a good place to learn theory that isn't justin guitar
i don't wanna spend money on his book sorry

i wanna know the 5 chord thing, something like the diatonic chord sequence?

Early ZZ is easily some the best.

The only difference between them and you is that you have a pedal board

>want to hear guitar
>they throw on tons of gain

fuck off, everything sounds the fucking same outside of extreme cases like emgs vs strat single coils. metal tones are fucking worthless for showing how a guitar actually sounds

1. Adrian Smith/Dave Murray
>Harmonies
2. Tony Iommi
>Riffs/hooks
3. Pepper Keenan
>Building on what Iommi did
4. Joe Satriani
>Technique and precision
5. Matt Pike
>Sometimes a wall of sound is the best option

Saw Kiko with Megadeth last year and he was amazing

Shiiiiit

I mostly play clean sounds and the heavy distortion sound just makes everything sound bland in demos.

The Chapman Standard.

Dubz and Chaps dies tonight

You've only made him stronger.

*starts shredding*

please kek, slay him in his bed in brighton right now

Randy Rhoads is all I need to mention.

I like Chapman way more than the Captain.

Captain is annoying as fuck and absolutely won't tolerate anyone having a different opinion than his. His reviews are pretty shitty because of how narrow minded his thinking is.

Rob is at least very open to all kinds of guitars, amps and music.

>tfw you're not even the most well-known musician with your first and last name

>muh tapping

Overrated as it gets.

Look at OP it has a link

Yeah not for his tapping moron. Everyone knows how simple that is. If I was about an edgelord tapper I'd mention EVH

So basically, unless you know all the notes on the fretboard and where they are you can never really learn theory, right?
Like, you can memorize scales but all you're doing is memorizing shapes and not the meaning behind them?

So what's the best and most effective way to memorize all the notes?

[12TH FRET BENDING INTENSIFIES]

I can't take Rob's opinion without a lot of salt since he has his own company. And both of them are deeply incentivized to sell you whatever chinkplank is being pushed on the market atm.

>Like, you can memorize scales but all you're doing is memorizing shapes and not the meaning behind them?
at last, someone sees the truth.
you can cheat a bit and "learn" the fretboard relatively. Like the seventh fret second string is the fifth from the string it's tuned to, so if it's tuned to A then it's an E, and so on.
You can still learn theory though, the notation's the same as long as you don't switch clef, regardless of the instrument and tuning.

I've been weary of most Youtube guys reviewing gear since the CabClone reviews.

That video where they had the Mese Boogie dude with them to review it was uncomfortable.

What's the deal with CabClone?

I was watching some of their videos where the Captain and some other guy were going to all the company exhibits at the lastest NAMM. Basically all it was was Lee saying "I don't like that finish, so I won't talk about this guitar" and "this doesn't look like something I'd play so I'm not going to show it" and then the other guy would be like "I really like this finish or this thing they've done, it's really innovative and blah blah blah" and Lee just goes "well I don't" and they move on.

I had to stop watching after a while because it started getting so old to hear.

Lee likes what he likes and won't tolerate anyone liking something else, unless it's Rob because he knows the only reason people watch their shit is because of Rob.

I found out very early on that theory is about knowing the notes and how they connect, with the intervals and everything.
People would say "learn this scale" but that does nothing but teach you a shape, you need to know the scale formula of the scale and intervals of it to really know how to use it.

That's why I want to learn the notes more than anything.

Looking down on guitar EADGBE 5th fret is the same as the next string (5fret E is the same note as the A string), 7th fret is the same note as previous string (7th fret A string is E string) , also octaves on EADG strings

THIS IS JUST HOW I LEARNED. STOP HATTING, HATTERS

basically mesa made a really bad and overpriced DI and attacked people who criticized it.
SpectreSoundStudio (fat bass cunt) has a video calling it out, can't remember the exact details.

I only tried to watch the Ibanez booth and I didn't even bother, it was just an old cunt that goes "oh wow thin neck very speed". Absolutely unbearable.

all you really need to know is the names of the notes on the two lowest (thickest) strings and memorize the 5 shapes of the scale

the rest would be nice to know but ultimately is useless pretty much

It's a product released by Mesa Boogie that's supposed to emulate a cabinet. It sounded like shit but most of the Youtube gear guys gave it good reviews.

Chappers and the Captian made a video where they didn't say it was bad but if you read between the lines, you could tell that they knew it was shit.

They deleted the original video and uploaded another version where someone from Mesa had come to 'explain' the Cabclone (read: be there to make sure they didn't shit on it in the video, which they had to make so Andertons could maintain a good relationship with Mesa). It was still shit in the second video and they had to act like it wasn't, so the video has a rather uncomfortable vibe.

It's pretty funny to watch, in hindsight: youtube.com/watch?v=cCskTx1vYKU

>here your (hat)
You mad hatter

Notes refrence and intervals is probably the easiest way to learn.

>you need to know the scale formula of the scale and intervals of it to really know how to use it
No you dont
You need to know the shapes and how to transpose them, and find out what key you're in and then just come up with cool licks within the shapes

bam you're a guitar hero

How do I pull out the string pegs in my acoustic without fucking up the peg

good shit

Hand through sound hole, wiggle bottom and top at same time using both hands.

get this motherfucker for 7 bucks

has a sting winder, clipper, tensioner and a pin puller all in one

I guessI never thought about pushing from the inside. I guess that works

just got 12s for my acoustic
how fucked am i gg?

Sos pls reply

They never say anything helpful.

Chapman is a hack writer and shits on anything that competes with his precious Chapman meme guitars.

>shits on anything that competes with his precious Chapman meme guitars

He doesn't though, he owns and plays tons of different guitars.

How to make a fender sound good
>buy guitar
>buy new pickup if guitar costs less than $1200
>get about 4 or more boutique pedals and an isolated power supply
>buy top end vintage tube amplifier that needs all the caps replaced and needs new nos tubes

How to make a gibson sound good
>buy guitar
>plug into any amp

Gibson being more expensive is the biggest meme ever, you literally only need to buy the guitar.

Also, how to make an ibanez sound good
>buy guitar
>record guitar track
>overdub track while playing a gibson
>mute original track

>trannypasta
>vapefedora
>hendrixpasta
what will our master ruseman think of next ? I can't wait

Nice strawman argument

no really i'm curious about how low the bait can fall

Doc Watson
Edward Van Halen
Derek Trucks
Duane Allman
Charlie Christian

use a spoon

same here except I absolutely love their sound. I hate everything else about them their tone to me is one of the best. anyone know if other companies strat copies are any better?

Why not just get a non-strat with a strat layout? The body shape won't make any difference.

There is no shittier finish than sunburst

>he made a valid point i dont agree with
>i dont agree with it so it must be wrong
>"bait"
Topkek, i forgot what it was like to be young and naive

Stephen O'malley
Jimi Hendrix
Tony Iommi
Teloch
Michael Hedges
