The problem with Jap television is that it is all complete shit, so you have to lower yourself to their level first.

Gamecenter CX
Gaki

is it racist for me to say that the girl on the left looks like Yuma Asami?

In Japan,
Dude, the Japanese don't even like Japanese TV. Its all garbage for propping up idols.

They're all really fake as fuck, even their "reality shows". Gamecenter is not exempt either.

Densha Ototo is a good drama if you want to watch a series about a Japanese 2chan autist meeting a girl

None. The Japs are horrible, horrible people.

in japan here. nope. you are just a friendless nerd from /jp/.

Your post format is awful.

Is Jap tv really that bad?

At least give me something fun to watch like Happy!

nasubi! this show messed with my head but it was still comfy

My wife is Japanese and usually she watches shit tons of Japanese TV Shows on our TV trough Youtube just not even 1 of them is translated into English.

They have same good shows , specially the documentary's they are producing.

BTW I dont speak japanese so she has to keep explaining me about what they are talking.

Kill yourself

I like to watch takeshis castle and ultraman

keep masturbating on your chinese cartoon animals.

the Hero Yoshihiko

worth it for the Derpy Buddha alone.

...

i believe that applies to any country whatsoever

...

>BTW I dont speak japanese so she has to keep explaining me about what they are talking.

Which is why you don't get it - it's all keigo aka forced polite speech. Or when it's not it's obviously not and they're still forcing themselves to be casual. No one really speaks normally in Japan the way westerners would perceive it unless you're really really familiar with the person, like close family or something.

I used to watch a lot of drama, do you want some drama recommendations?

The dramas are pretty much soap opera tier or really shit procedurals. I do like some of the documentaries and history programs. Anything where they go to restaurants to try food is godawful.

Not really dawg

Not him but I would appreciate.
I prefer SF or comedy.

Is that Haromoni?

Yeah really, Snoop.

Keitæ„› is definitely a must-watch dorama.

Nobuta wo Produce

If you only watch one jap tv show, make sure it's this one.

*friendship intensifies*

Garo. Specifically the original series.

God-tier fantasy horror.

Code Blue

Liar Game

Mop Girl (pretty average series, but Kei-chan make sit watchable. She's cute and a good actress)

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mop_Girl

Speaking of Keiko, she's not the star of this:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taiyo_to_Umi_no_Kyoshitsu

But it's a pretty good show.

how does she get so pale and why don't her eyes look asian?

why do non-white people hate themselves so much?

>What are some essential must watch Japanese tv shows?
Well, there's all kinds of great anime--
>I'm not talking about anime here I mean legitimate television
Oh. There's nothing then.

I liked this one. The acting is les over-the-top than in most J-Dramas.

But over the top can be good. Kuitan season 1 is great. Season 2 is below average though.

Imagine an autistic Jughead/Sherlock Holmes mix that uses his knowledge of food to resolve cases.

I like watching any show with my favorite Japanese actress, Anri Okita.

I ask my students to name their favorite shows a lot. None of them can really name anything. They all answer 'Variety Shows'.

It's fucking awful.

...

Threadly reminder that you should stop posting that because it's a thing.

trick

I WANT TO GET OFF THIS RIDE!

I'd Anri her Okita, if you know what I mean.

cute

Weren't Japanese comedies good back in the late 80s and early 90s?

...

trick for some nice character chemistry
liar game for the games

I don't know, but basically the Japanese love manzai which is basically 1920s stand up, with one funny guy who plays dumb and one straight guy who acts angry.
That and a lot of slap stick.

They are basically two rings above Mexicans in terms of comedic development.

They also love one trick ponies, comedians with one joke that they repeat constantly with little variation.

Like this cunt.

and BOSS

Kimi wa Petto (with Koyuki, the girl from Last Samurai)

That show is fetish fuel.

How about chink or gook shows? Anything worth watching?

as others have said, most of j-tv is just dogshit. its the same formula for everything. same flavor of the week idol, same group of rotating useless actors and incompetent flunkies.

late night tv though isnt bad. tvtokyo's drama24 has some solid stuff. every friday from 12 there is a series that runs a month or so with themes about sex, violence, subcultures and offbeat shit.

Rivers edge is my jam.

empress of china
three kingdoms
god of war, zhao yun
pandamen

I saw this show (live-action) about a guy who ejaculted "pearls" and he could only do it a number of times before dying or something. It was pretty funny with nice touching moments.

this tbqh familia

I'm onto lakorns right now (thai tv shows).

Ruk Jub Jai was pretty good. There's also a movie.

I also liked Kom Kon.

Iron Chef

if tv is so garbage over there what the hell do nips do all day? watch anime?

they work and then spend their money at clubs where they can pretend to be in a relationship

Work insane hours, contract might say 8 to 6. But you're expected to come 30 min early, and stay a few hours late as a "gift." Its illegal, but the unions are owned by the companies.

TV is for housewives, and housewives have shit taste in everything.
NEETs watch anime I guess.
