2016

Pic related: total number of new films I've watched this year.

I'm not a neckbeard, so I won't watch capeshit. I'm not a SJW, so I won't watch films with forced meme "stronk womyn", "tolerance", and "diversity" characters. I'm not a child, so I won't watch animated kid flicks. I'm not a chick, so I won't watch chick flicks.

I think this is the first year I've ever not watched any new releases.

Film seems to be pretty much dead now.

You are a plebeian piece of shit, kid.

Why didn't you watch The Lobster?

You didn't see The Nice Guys?

Its been very bad this year
the pleb shit is on a whole different pleb level and the quote unquote "pretentious hipster bullshit" is going down to pleb levels

What about The Witch? Hail Caesar!? Zootopia? 10 Cloverfield Lane?

...

>he didn't see everybody wants some!!

I just copy whatever the smartest person on tv says

>I won't watch films with forced meme "stronk womyn", "tolerance", and "diversity" characters.
>I'm not a child

Nice blog.

...

You are the exact stupid fucking faggot who destroys this board with your dumb fucking opinions, negative attitude, bitter virgin tears and inferiority complex

please do us all a favour and UNIRONICALLY kill yourself

...

Simmer down, now, fatty.

I agree with you OP. I haven't been watching new films for several years already. Since you are that rare person who have brains I strongly recommend you to watch nice old movies, they are really good. Don't be afraid. If you are interested I can give you some recommendations, just tell me what you like.

I've got that covered already.

There was a Bridge over the river Kwai thread that made me want to watch that film again, and I realized that I hadn't watched anything new since last year.

Film by committee has destroyed cinema.

>im not a child
>I wont watch things that stray too far out of my comfort circle

I haven't watched any films this year either. A few joints, several flicks, maybe a few movies, but no films.

Number of new films i've watched this year: 5

Knight of Cups: 10/10
Anomolisa: 7.5/10
BvS: 8/10
The Witch: 9/10
Love and Friendship: 9/10

>not killing yourself ironically

lel

13 Hours was pretty good

You sound like a joy to hang around with, OP.

The Lobster
The Nice Guys
10 Cloverfield Lane
The VVitch
Popstar

These were all above average (essentially) original IPs released this year.

Is IP better than film, kino?

cool story bro

pleb

Yes, IP is the highest form of the visual medium you may refer to as "motion pictures," or glibly referred to as "movies." It is completely original, unadulterated cinéma.

>Knight of Cups: 10/10

Is this a meme?

>board meant for discussing movies
>populated by people who don't actually watch movies
>still endlessly shitpost about how much they hate everything coming out
dear god this place really is Sup Forums now

Not him, but no. I don't think it was perfect, but it was certainly on a different level, probably a 9/10 for me

It is not, no.

>I'm an adult because I'll waste my time watching shit that doesn't appeal to me because reasons...

you're absolutely right
hollywood is no longer interested in releasing classics like

>he didn't see the nice guys

>image.jpeg

2016 IS A DISASTER FOR MOVIES

TICKET SALES ARE IN THE TOILET FOR A REASON

THE ONLY DECENT BLOCKBUSTER THIS SUMMER WILL BE INDEPENDENCE DAY 2

>Zootopia?
>I'm not a child, so I won't watch animated kid flicks.

The VVitch
Nice Guys
The Lobster
Zootopia

All enjoyable and worth checking out, but to be fair the 2nd half of the lobster is much less interesting than the first.

>13 Hours was pretty good

I have little to no interest in seeing James Franco "film"

>You didn't see The Nice Guys?

Nor a Will Ferral Mark Walberg "film," thanks

KEK +114

UNIRONICALLY THOUGH, 13 HOURS WAS BASED

BUT GOOSE IS TOO AUTISTIC IN THE NICE GUYS

>James Franco "film"
wat

>/127/ HOURS = /13/ HOURS

>THE /OTHER/ GUYS = THE /NICE/ GUYS

MEMEPOSTING

>Zootopia
>When Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) becomes the first rabbit to join the police force, she quickly learns how tough it is to enforce the law...

Oh look, a "stronk womyn" cartoon.....how appealing.
