>A Southerner was, on average, considered a superior horseman to his Northern counterpart, especially early in the war. Roads in the rural South were generally poor, and horses were used more for individual transportation than they were for the carriages and streetcars of the urbanized North, where many of the early Federal cavalry regiments were formed.[6]

>We have the best breed of horses
t. doesn't know anything at all about horses

You don't. Chileans bred a horse named La Invernada Hornero, which was recognized as a legendary Corrallero (or 'Criollo' as you call it in Argentina) horse with outstanding skills and stamina, clearly genetically superior to the common Criollo. Hornero was eventually brought to Rio Grande do Sul where today we're the only breeders of Hornero's lineage known as Bastos Tellechea (or simply BT), although Chile apparently decided to breed their own section of Hornero's lineage by importing some from Rio Grande do Sul. BTs usually cost 3x as much as an average Criollo due to their overwhelmingly high success rates at competitions.

And Criollos are everywhere throughout the Southern Cone, they're far from being the "best breed of horses" because the common Criollo isn't different from an average wild horse of any other breed, therefore they're unfit for competition. Every breed has its special Olympic breeders, much like the BT, and each for their own purpose: Warmbloods pretty much dominate jumping competitions, Appaloosas are known for their speed while Criollos and Andalusians are known for their agility.

Pretty big and proud of it to be honest.

The spanish horse is a mix between the european and the arab horse so they are intelligent, fast and strong, we call them the Andalusian horse... about the tradition,
we used to use them in bullfighting whit pikes, i know that in the south there are some traditions of boar hunting with horses and pikes but our horses are famous (because turists) for their agility and dancing demonstrations.

Funland plz

There's a video somewhere of a very well trained Andalusian during a bullfight. I've never seen a horse with such flexibility, the mare was literally running sideways like a crab and spinning around, doing very quick turns like she couldn't care less about inertia. Apparently the video was taken down by YT for 'animal abuse' as I couldn't find it anywhere.

Our horses are superior to the fat and slow european horse thanks to the arab horse :D there is nothing wrong of being superior

i don't know its normal in youtube but if you like hourses and you are visiting Andalucia you have to visit the Real Escuela de Equitacion Jerez
