Liam Thompson
with one of EVH's shitjob guitars too
the most impressive thing he did was make one of the shittiest guitar sounds i've ever heard work in a band context
Cameron White
Would anyone give a shit about Dimebag/Pantera today if he didn't get murdered?
Kevin Perry
>he's this mad because I can get to him but he can't get to me
Blake Reed

Kayden Clark
they were immensely popular as soon as Cowboys hit, so yea

Jaxson Howard
Guess who.
Day 6 of waiting on my Viper 1000fm in the mail.
Paid 1k for it ausfailian, usually sells for 1600.

>>outdated sounding Outdated musicians who don't want to step outside of their comfort zone you mean. >>all genres creatively exhausted There are genres not yet discovered due to the aforementioned problem. >>limited musical range Yeah, every musical instrument is limited in some way, that's why we have so many. >>takes years to master As does anything worth doing. What else are you doing with your life? >>and even when you do there's always an 8yo Asian that's better and more accomplished than you'll ever be There will always be someone better and always someone worse. Just gotta see how far you can climb. >>if you're technical the audience will say you're just showing off That's fine because music is subjective. >>if you're restrained the audience will say you can't play That's fine because music is subjective. >>an electric guitar isn't a complete instrument until you pair it with an amplifier Of course, but a computer isn't a computer without a monitor. I mean there are lots of things that need to be paired with something else to work as intended. >>so it's expensive Not really. You can get a decent beginner setup for under $500. The price of what people spend on a decent graphics card or a console and a couple games these days. You can't use the old space or noise constraints argument either anymore because there are amp pedals now and there are these neat things called headphones that have been around for years. >>playing can give rise to health problems like arthritis and carpel tunnel True, but if you already have arthritis, I've heard that it can actually help those with it somewhat, by exercising and stretching their hands. I'm not talking shredding, just laid back playing. Don't know how true that is though. >>all the good pussy goes to rap niggers Who plays guitar to get women? I'd rather have another guitar or a pedal or something than a woman. They're a pain in the arse nowadays.

Can someone come up with a riff challenge or a lick challenge or something?
these are the current settings I have on my 286s. I've tried messing with it and this is what I have right now.
Dominic Turner
have you tried unplugging it?
Aaron Howard
That's where I'd start with any compressor, what mic are you using?
Liam Ward
>google image search >"broken headstock"

Are there any recommendable books about introduction to classical playing?
Nathaniel Murphy
no, but there's a lot of gay porn you could probably be watching instead
Jayden Hernandez
my, it's so hot in here, do you mind if I take some clothes off?
Xavier Richardson
i think you got the wrong thread, buddy. the leather board's two blocks down.
Jason Cox
sm7b, look at the imgur album, it has the settings for my pre amp on it. I have my compression dials set like this: Drive: 4. Density: 3 1/2
Matthew Rogers
Rekt. I was going to post that too
Josiah Bell
I am getting so hot, i wanna take my clothes off
Isaac Nelson
I tried looking around online real quick and couldn't find anything. I'm sure if you went to a music store they'd have a good stock of books. I've definitely seen books on classical playing at guitar center, but can't remember the titles.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Cooper Campbell
I've been listening to Converge a lot lately and i really dig the sound. What effects should i use to achieve similar tone bros?
Sebastian King
I went to music school for 11 years, learning classical guitar. We used no method book whatsoever (only in musical theory lectures). What we did though was playing what was written on music sheet, and training fingers with scales and arpeggio
Xavier Walker
Thank you very much.
James Perry
>squirts this made me laugh now I will meme it
Kevin Williams
Did you practice today?
Brandon Jackson
No, I have a girlfriend you gnome lookin' gargoyle! Ficki ficki! There's a reason you're so good at guitar, Govan!

Samuel Ross
need suggestions, what song should I record a cover of? may actually deliver this week
Landon Foster
I spend my time learning Iron Maiden songs and improvising solos over their songs to get better at soloing, is this a good idea for me to get better? I already know my scales and shit, im just working on proficiency.
Kayden Price
yes
Gabriel Phillips
Dont stop believing
Zachary Phillips
He does it because of people like you. Stop.
Jayden Ramirez
Its great if you want to solo over music in the style of iron maiden
Daniel Hughes
I wasted a lot of time in high school playing guitar, i should have played football. Its great now cause i learned how to rip off muscians by selling gear at a proce thats to good to be true. I cant tell you how many "fenders" ive sold that i juast changed the headstock logo on. Rule number 1 of buying gear online, people like me exist.

I'm really looking to do an instrumental cover of something with a strong vocal melody, these don't really press my buttons
It looks dumb but atleast you can play it in the classic position and the comfy one.
Sebastian Evans
>user I noticed you are using and Alder body guitar. Perhaps I could interest you in a Toanwood Paul Reed Smeeth Screaming Eagle 22 with 85/15 pickups and a nut that has aluminum powder in it?
Then you will be able to really play a great instrument.
Jayden Garcia
but everyone who owns one
plays shit music

> “Carefully picked from my [Paul Reed Smith’s] private stock for sound and remarkable figure.” That is still true today, as all Private Stock woods are carefully housed in “The Vault” just outside of Paul’s office.

Cooper Kelly
Whats the dentist meme? I've seen it several times.
Joshua Price
I didn't know where else to go, this is my first time on this board
I was just about to start this book but noticed a music piece that I guess might tie in to the book itself but I don't know squat about music
Can someone be nice enough to play this?
Benjamin Peterson
I don't think anyone will do squat if they have to turn their head 90 degrees to read that shit
Logan Foster
Rich dudes who overpay custom shop-type guitars to hang on their walls and occasionally play on the weekends. They're a large part of why the vintage guitar market is so insanely inflated. Hence the dentist meme/"blues lawyers".
Jack Stewart
I kind of like it, not as much as the regular Boden design though. I'd definitely get one of those before an American HSS strat. But do they make them with maple fretboards? It would look a lot better
Michael Smith
they're guitars for people with loads of money and no taste in guitars who never go out and play a gig, in fact they never even play the guitar, it just hangs on their fucking wall because if they took it out of the house and it got scratched then that's $5000 off the value

Frederick Noad's books are pretty good as an introduction. Otherwise a typical classical student will learn from a combination of performance pieces, etudes and scale studies (usually Segovia for guitar). It's the type of study that is pretty difficult without an instructor, unfortunately.
Dominic Hall

There have a short piece i composed. you can learn to play it if you want.
