Once upon a time at the foot of a great mountain,
there was a town where the people known as Happyfolk lived,
their very existence a mystery to the rest of the world,
obscured as it was by great clouds.
Here they played out their peaceful lives,
innocent of the litany of excess and violence that was growing in the world below.
To live in harmony with the spirit of the mountain called Monkey was enough.
Then one day Strangefolk arrived in the town.
They came in camouflage, hidden behind dark glasses, but no one noticed them: they only saw shadows.
You see, without the Truth of the Eyes, the Happyfolk were blind.

Falling out of aeroplanes and hiding out in holes
Waiting for the sunset to come, people going home
Jump out from behind them and shoot them in the head
Now everybody dancing the dance of the dead,
the dance of the dead,
the dance of the dead

In time, Strangefolk found their way into the higher reaches of the mountain,
and it was there that they found the caves of unimaginable Sincerity and Beauty.
By chance, they stumbled upon the Place Where All Good Souls Come to Rest.
The Strangefolk, they coveted the jewels in these caves above all things,
and soon they began to mine the mountain, its rich seam fueling the chaos of their own world.
Meanwhile, down in the town, the Happyfolk slept restlessly,
their dreams invaded by shadowy figures digging away at their souls.
Every day, people would wake and stare at the mountain.
Why was it bringing darkness into their lives?
And as the Strangefolk mined deeper and deeper into the mountain,
holes began to appear, bringing with them a cold and bitter wind that chilled the very soul of the monkey.
For the first time, the Happyfolk felt fearful for they knew that soon the Monkey would stir from its deep sleep.

Guilty pleasure.

Prove me wrong

And then came a sound. Distant first, it grew into castrophany so immense it could be heard far away in space.
There were no screams. There was no time.
The mountain called Monkey had spoken.
There was only fire.
And then, nothing.

O little town in U.S.A, your time has come to see
There's nothing you believe you want
But where were you when it all came down on me?
Did you call me now?

Eh this album had its moments but did lack

Kids these days

KMFDM best industrial band.

Ive never been into avenged sevenfold. It doesnt help that the fanbase is a rabid group of faggots.

Almost every single album by Iced Earth. Framing Armageddon wasn't amazing though.

>Mah nigs
I love Framing Armageddon though

I love the band, but I can wholeheartedly agree that a ton of the fans are little cocknuggets. still, the album itself made my ears cum repeatedly.

Learn something, ANYTHING, about industrial music. Please.

Can vouch for this

Even the B-sides of this album are better then best songs on other albums. How could this band go from brilliant debut to utter shit in such a steady decline?

I don't dislike it, I'm just saying I think it's probably their only album where I would skip songs. They are 10/10 live. Saw them in NYC during the Crucible tour just before Barlow left again, Into eternity was their opener. As soon as Barlow announced he was leaving i was hoping for Stu to get poached from Into Eternity. Really want to see them again, now with Stu leading.

Heh, I just wish they'd come to my part of the world. Going to see Opeth for the 4th time soon but Iced have never visited.

...

Its basically just full of edgy songs for edgy teens...

There are a few dull moments, but a great album all together

Oh and lone- levitate

I hope they go to you too. They tour surprisingly little in the US. They have a huge european fanbase so most of their touring is there.

am I too pedestrian if I say I liked Lift Your Skinny Fists better?

...

No - I think that you're in the majority to be honest. For whatever reason, I like Yanquee UXO much better, it's like a perfect album for me. I can play it literally anytime.
The only time I saw them perform live was on the LYSF tour, it was hypnotizing.

...

Obvious choice, but 100% applicable.

mah nigga

Google: KMFDM

"KMFDM is an industrial band led by German multi-instrumentalist Sascha Konietzko, who founded the group in 1984 as a performance art project."

Keyword: INDUSTRIAL.

Get some education.

I missed them in Australia this year. Shit sucks - it was probably the last time they'll ever be here.

Anyway, my choice for perfect album I guess:
