en.wikipedia.org
That's not very amazing.
If you know English, then you should at least be able to speak fluent Dutch and French. I mean, come on. It's 2017.
Yeah, especially Dutch. I mean come on, it's used by so many people around the world.
Being the result of Portuguese colonization must be so embarrassing. They aren't even an important, influential, or powerful country. At least the children of Britain and France can look to their progenitors with pride or at least admiration. The backwater of a backwater.
How else will you talk to the abortion doctor or the drug dealer when you visit the Netherlands?
It's spoken on three continents. And an offshoot on a fourth continent.
In Europe alone it has more speakers than Norway, Sweden and Finland combined in the heart of Europe.

What's next lads? I was thinking German, but i'm not sure
>I speak English, Spanish and Galician
>Perfectly fluent in all three.
>Can understand most written portuguese, and speak a little
Isn't that more impressive, though?
America wishes to have started from such a humble place and proportionately achieved a tenth of what we did.
Sure, Portugal sucks, but the Portuguese are unstoppable.
still 2 more than you
Same as you two lads
I'm learning Italian offhandedly and I don't like it at all
Might go full weeb and learn japanese
I think I'll give Portuguese a go, it shouldn't take that long, I can sort of communicate verbally without any practice/training. It's quite similar to spanish
PORTUGAL CARALHO
This desu
Once I finish learning Spanish, I'm going to try learn Portuguese.
Reading what they write is already easy as fuck, and being able to understand their spoken language should be easy because I already know a slavic language :^)
You brainlet, I also know Montenegrin and Bulgarian
I find that Anglos veer towards Brazilian accent.
Most people except Finish and Slavs (mostly Poles) do, actually. It's just a bit simpler to open all vowels.
>ŧfw know a bit of spanish, french, and can read korean
>pick up hungarian
literally hell desu
> I speak 3 languages
> Dutch, Flemish and Afrikaans
Tu madre es puta
The Brazilians known to have an accent. They speak normal Portuguese. You guys are the ones that now have the accent because their country is greater than yours.
> TFW youre too smart to learn inferior languages
Krijg de kanker
I never claimed there wasn't a Portuguese accent. Everyone has an accent, you idiot.
The "average" accent is also a meme, since no place in Brazil speaks without any modification from somewhere else, so there's no region with the averaged out accent. Just like a donut has a centre of mass outside itself, if that makes sense.
Euro Portuguese does have a real average accent, though, as there's a region from which all differ a bit that has no additions. But that's the Euro-Portuguese standard, not the Portuguese standard. There's no such thing as a Portuguese language standard and I made no such claims.
>I know three languages
>Anglo-Saxon, Anglo-French, Frisian
I can read a lot of Spanish, or rather, I can read a lot more Spanish than I can speak. Reading a language is easier than speaking it.
this
im exactly the same when it comes to portuguese and catalán
and you
