Sure, it's good if you have any clue what the fuck is going on. I spent a lot of wasted years playing WoW so I knew everything that was happening, recognized all the characters, got nostalgic from seeing all the places, etc.
Imagine someone who's never played any of the RTS games or spent a day on WoW trying to watch this movie. It'd be confusing as shit because there's literally no explanation for anything.
WoW's lore (even up to this movie) expands over books and books. You cannot pack that much shit into 2 hours. A TV series would be pretty cool.

Went to see it with a friend who had no clue about anything Warcraft-related before and he was able to follow it and enjoy it. Then again he wasn't a complete imbecile and didn't play with his cellphone during the movie.

This movie is D&D: Wrath of the Dragon God tier with more money spent on dated CGI. If you aren't a Warcraft fanboy, all nuance to setting and characters is lost, and when it did start doing something interesting with the characters, the movie was over.

The worst part is it did have an opening narration that told you completely redundant information, explaining the Fel haphazardly when we'll see it later in the movie.
They should have gone over Azeroth, the races on it, the fact that they have a fragile alliance, the orcish orde, their world, that race they were sacrificing and more about their original world. Those were all things I wanted to know more about.
