Portuguese is basically Russian Spanish

>be abroad
>speak polish with the lads
>"Excuse me, are you Germans?"

>be abroad
>speak Slovak with lads
>"Excuse me, are you French?
Americans...

>Practicing Japanese
>Someone here's "boku"
>Thinks I'm speaking Vietnamese because of Full Metal Jacket and "too beaucoup"

>be abroad
>speak swedish with the lads
>"bork bork xD"

>be abroad
>speak french with the lads
>"Excuse me are you gay?"

I also thought that Portuguese was Russian when I heard it the first time. Then I thought it must be some weird Caucasus language and not European at all. Now that I'm learning Portuguese its not at all that weird or different and sounds like an European language. I think that the Portuguese from Portugal more like Russian than the Portuguese from Brazil.

>be abroad
>speak english with the lads
>get stabbed because the locals understand when i call them ugly

>be abroad
>speak German with the lads
>"Excuse me, are you Nazis?"

>be abroad
>speak spanish
>get arrested

it does sound like a slavshit language

>be abroad
>clap with the lads
>"Excuse me, do you want a burger?"
>mfw clap is a universal language

We are not slavs, but VERY distant relatives of proto-Portuguese

I'm also mistaken for Russian if I speak english, what the hell.

>be in spain, walk around in a grocery store
>group of teens walk up to me
>one of them asks "es noruego?"
>i answer "yes"
>they look at each other and then walk away

what the hell was that about

If Brazilian Portuguese sounds like Russian, wait until you hear...oh that's right, we're too poor to travel

They were spaniards. They probably forgot why they asked you that. Hell they probably also forgot how to breath some seconds later.

...

You're too good for them, you beautiful norski.

WTF I love Slovakia now

>he asks you in spic
>you respond in English
they mistook you for a shitfaced bong

>things that 100% happened

and you are actually gay

>live in Ireland for several years
>acquire accent
>be on bus with Irish friend, chatting

>it's two tourist chicks, talking specifically about us, thinking nobody understands them
>so tempted to say something to embarrass them
>they get off the bus just then
Ah well.

what were they saying?

>tfw I can't understand

i wonder what did they want to ask you if you were russian, or what to discuss

They wanted to ask about Katyn, Crimea and MH17

>be abroad
>speak English with lads
"excuse me, are you Americans?"

Bollocks.

>Brazilian

What sort of moron are you ? Do you live in a cave ?

I don't complain about your inability to pronounce the z

>double trips

Thanks best neighbour

I speak French

I live in a socialist dictatorship

I do too, what of it ?
If you were from the New world I could excuse you barely knowing about portugal but you're european. Surely somewhere in your shithole you learned about the conquest of America and portugal's relevance there.

Das rite, we wuz tsars n shiet.

We got mistaken for Spanish with my mom in the UK.

the first time I tried learning Pootuguese I genuinely thought that I accidentally picked some slavic language

t. slavic and english speaker only

>as far away from russia as possible in europe
>still sound like them
how does that work?

We're a lost slavic tribe.

>with my mom
you are big boy ahahaha

>Recordings by native speakers from southeastern France, northern Italy, Peru, and Brazil

the portuguese/gorillazilians sound like a slav trying to speak romance

basically extreme romanian

>be in the Netherlands
>speak Russian with a friend at a bar
>some guy come over and say "what an interesting language you are talking in?"
>we say it's Russian
>the guy sit with us and we talk for 40 minutes about politics and shit

>ask in English
>half of them answer in Russian

your accent must be thicker than anzu's turk cock

>be in Western Europe
>meet some locals
>they always comment how white I am (black hair and brown eyes)
Turns out they've only seen brown gypsies on the news being called Bulgarians so they assume ethnic Bulgarians are like that

>"""women"""

It's a mirror.

No, they just heard that we were talking in russian before that. My english isn't perfect, but I don't sound like a typical sergei.

>gorillazilians
VERY rude, Petkovic

vocaroo, nao :^D

>Бeз имeни-1.jpg
>non-ironically setting your system language to non english
wew lad

Who the hell uses that letter anyway?

>speak romance

I use a pirated photoshop, it's a repack and Russian is the only language.

>Petkovic
Serbians and croatians are two different people.

nice meme

yeah, an italian and a spaniard can learn eachothers' language in less than like 6 months 2bh

>gete le gimp :-DDD

youtu.be/wzkByvYfOXk

People that speak proper spanish?

lol, get with the times grandpa

IT'S NOT SAPATO YOU LATINO SUBHUMANS
REEEE

Nobody "speak romance", romance is not a language. That what I meant.
>an italian and a spaniard can learn eachothers' language in less than like 6 months 2bh
How much time do you think would take for a portuguese speaker to learn both?
I didn't need the feels.

Yes it is.

>catholic serbs and orthodox croatians
Yeah

Rijecka ulika on the captcha btw

>gimp
No, thank you.

That tv is having a stroke.

;)

I know that romance is a language family, notice that I did the same thing with 'slavic'

I don't know how long it would take for a Portuguese native to learn Spanish and Italian.
Though, I'm guessing Spanish is taught in Portugal a lot because of the surrounding counties.

>Be abroad
>Speak russian
>"Are you vocal singer or smth?"

>be abroad
>"Are you Canadian?"
>"I am A- Canadian ey."

>Be abroad
>video related
youtube.com/watch?v=bXeW_3IXvNY

Romanian is such an beautiful language and pretty easy to learn as well if you speak Spanish/Italian.

I can't into French though mostly because of all the gargle noises they make when they talk lmao

>Though, I'm guessing Spanish is taught in Portugal a lot
not really, actually

>IT'S NOT SAPATO
Isn't s in spaniard accent actually a sh? So "shapato"?

everyone I know it with a z

You're wrong about that, Juan.

Just write it properly next time.
>I don't know how long it would take for a Portuguese native to learn Spanish and Italian.
Ofc you do not, you are talking about smth you know fuck all about it.

Z
Our president is autistic, but we pronounce the z the way it's meant to youtube.com/watch?v=Xg525KvZxi0

underrated post

Yeah but they pronounce "sapato" cuz latinos gonna latino

>surrouding countr
>ies
Portugal only shares a land border with one country, lad. Spanish is fairly easy to understand for a native lusophone, especially if the person is exposed to it. There are even some teachers from other neighbouring hispanohablante countries in my uni and it doesn't matter too much even if they may speak with a thick accent and commit the most simple grammatical mistakes

>Portugal only shares a land border with one country, lad
i meant portugal and brazil

you're probably southern brazilian, ie. whiter than norwegians

I think because of the rolling r and the sh sound which is uncommon in Spanish but very common in portuguesh
