Costs $2,350 to renounce US citizenship

>costs $2,350 to renounce US citizenship
>free in Japan

Why is this allowed?

what if you don't pay that?

Then you can't renounce your citizenship.

pretty sure there's a form you can fill in and have the IRS renounce it for you.

demand/supply + administrative costs.

>renouncing the most valuable and sought-after citizenship in the world

shiggy

>be american
>get shot, mugged and blacked
>try to get out of the mess
>uncle sam charges you $2350 + tip

whew lad you are pretty fucking stupid, eh

>be american
>be taxed on foreign soil by country + usa
>renounce citizenship to avoid double taxation

the only other countries in the world that require taxes from your work abroad are the phillipines and eritrea, an african dictatorship

Your ignorance is cute

>he's literally held hostage by his country until he pays his ransom
what happened to freedom?

>what is Germany?

An Islamic shithole

A US passport is a key to the world, you are denying yourself a lot of opportunity by throwing it away.

Super Man did it

>A US passport is a key to the world, you are denying yourself a lot of opportunity by throwing it away.

Except it isnt the most valuable passport and never was. And with trump's election it will only be weaker now that foreign countries are retaliating against us.

US citizenship is fine if you live abroad so long as you don't make over a certain threshold of money (iirc >100,000$ each year). But if you do you get taxed twice and that is complete bullshit.

Besides, an EU passport is stronger than US

A bureaucracy.

actually the world is more open if you hold a commonwealth based passport.

German passport is the best passport
So is Sweden's

>EU passport is stronger than US

I insinuated that. Read my post again.

German passport is most valuable in the world

what are the benefits of renouncing a citizenship anyway?

Building on that

Now that I think of it, American citizenship isn't really that great, can't anyone own property there? No matter the country of origin?
Canada accepts a bunch of people and it's like an improved USA.

You are right. In fact most of California and NY state is bought out by foreign nationals, especially from China.

You can also buy U.S. citizenship for a large fee

It's a fucking joke is what it is

Some countries don't accept secondary citizenships and you have to renounce the second one.
Tax reasons

>Germany
>Sweden
>travel to 177 countries visa free
>none of them is Russia

KEK

Technically he didn't. He didn't fail it with his local administration which gets it to his state and then federal overseer to review it before it is cleared adjusting for any backtaxes he might still owe and then paying that along with the fees.

So technically he only did so in word.

He has super speed, how do you know he didn't? Maybe he did it before telling the UN

Do you want to go to Russia?

You're stupid

This guy gets it.--You probably think it's valuable cause you're a poor and stupid and thus have no money and probably will bum off welfare sooner or later if not now.

US is super aggressive with it's tax policy and hunts you for income tax even if you work overseas or own property over there.

Also >A US passport is a key to the world

Just get the Hong Kong or UK one.
- gives you access to most of the places US does with a few exceptions
+access to china
+access to russia
+doesn't have to be renewed as often or for as much as the US one
+also doesn't mean that wherever you go the IRS can tax you on any money you earn, win, or inherit.
-no eagles, buffalo, and other patriotic shit like the US passport.

>how do you know he didn't?
Because not even superman can't make bureaucracy work. It's slow and shit. You still need signatures and crap. Supes is a goody two shoes and wouldn't forge it.

p.s. In other worlds Supes did take over the governent and tried but always failed. Read Injustice or Red Son.

what's your native language?

I think your lawyer will charge you more.
Plus, you will need to pay "expatriation tax" as well.

>US passport lets you travel to any EU country for 90 days
>EU passport lets you settle almost anywhere in the union forever ...and you don't have to file taxes with your home country for money earned abroad
