Any mtgfags out there have any thoughts on pic related? My current obzedat commander decks runs blind obedience and imposing sovereign and I think 3 etb stasis effects might be too many, but maybe not. Current deck list is in the link.

Shameless self bump

Not running Gremlins + veichle mono red,
Get out feg

My only problem with this card is it's basically defunct in the late-game, and to be honest, if you draw it on your opening hand, there's a fuck-ton of other cards you could play instead that would be useful.

Examples include basically any creature card.

Red is literally the worst color. None of my decks run red. That shitty color is only for beginners and people who hate playing magic.

Yeah, that's a really good point. I mean, I don't have much of an issue with playing creatures, and I've actually won with just obzibounce. But I do love controlling my opponents with mean cards they have to get rid of.

Mate you can have so much fun with red!
I just put Thriving Grubs in an Ovalchase Dragster (or better yet in Skysovereign) and crash it into an enemy until they die!

Great is it out yet

The last time I played red was maybe 7 or so years ago. I made a deck for a friendly tournament and ended up winning. I do have a BG skullbriar deck that I can't seem to make work that I'm turning into a kresh deck later, though.

" nobody plays red"
> looks at mtg top 8
> looks at all the red decks
> looks back at post
> mildly confused if bait

Red makes it to the top of any tournament just because of how fast and easy to play.

I only started playing after Kaladesh dropped and wanted a fun deck, so I made a red viechel deck and green big monster as they seemed the most fun!

that sounds fun.

I'm bumbling through my first deck build, and that looks neat.

also, any recommendations on a green/white deck with mostly Instrad and shadows stuff?

This may not be the best place to say this, but at least Sup Forums ads use to be tasteful. Now I have jen-who gives a ducks sex tape plastered as a header and right next to the update button. The same shit that use to be spammed with bots is just there with an animated dick. That's what I want. Put that shit on the porn boards.
>inb4 Sup Forums is a porn board.
NSFW and porn are 2 different things

I love green, I've been playing my green overrun deck for about 9 years, with my current list for maybe 3 or 4 years. Both red and green are great for beginners, but you outgrow red very quickly, or at least I did. I really have very little respect for the color. The only reason I'm doing kresh is because he's +1/+1 counter based. But with atraxa coming out in the new set, I might not even bother with kresh.

if you are gonna add anything run loxodon gatekeeper unless your meta is very removal heavy

If you follow the link I posted on the op, you should be able to see my other decks. I have a mono green overrun deck and a wg rhys the redeemed tiny leaders deck you can look at. But for green, wolfbriar elemental and craterhoof behemoth are great.

I was really afraid of this card being super good and standard, so no aggro decks can be good, but I'm glad it's in a position where it can wreck certain strategies if it needs to.

The decks meta is more focused on lifegain and control. I built it with orzhov in mind and this is what came out of it.

This is the only other deck I would consider putting this card in. But with the cmc being capped at 3, and the sheer amount of tokens this deck makes, it's not even worth the slot.

Yeah my green deck is easily my best, doing land fall for them

its so rare that i see another person making a tiny leaders deck strangely enough i made one with rys as well but went way different with him tappedout.net/mtg-decks/30-11-14-rhys-the-redeemed-tiny-leaders/

tappedout.net/mtg-decks/the-most-basic-ramp-i-know/

Just in case you didn't see it yet. Pretty much what I would suggest is ramping heavily into wolfbriar for as many wolves you can make, then trample with craterhoof. I've been running this combo for ages and most of my friends have kinda "stolen" it from me.

well i meant more as in what your commander group played since a creature with the effect is obviously more vulnerable to removal if everyone and their dog plays removal the gatekeeper aint gonna be good

Not many people play the format. I used to play in school a bit. But not as much as commander. Rhys is probably my favorite tiny leader.

I will check it out.

how difficult are delrium decks? I have 4 of the grove enchantments that turn into 4/4 hex proofs, but I am having trouble.

that being said, it is also paired with white human stuff as well.

why arent you running aura of silence?

I prefer Thalia, Heretic Cathar

>hex proof
Oh, so you're a faggot.

Fair enough. My group is mostly +1/+1 counter and token based. One of my friends runs nath, another one runs slivers, and our usual fourth runs jarad. So creatures are a thing.

The cards good, I run white/black life gain it helps with all the vigilance fuck and slows the aggro deck a bit. Overall not bad

That's a really good question. I would have to say is because I don't own one. But I will soon.

how about a beacon of immortality for an instant kill with the tainted remedy?

I could, but I already have sanguine bond and exquisite blood. Which is pretty much never get off anyway.

I has a bunch of Revised and I got in around Mirage and ended around Urzas Saga. Any card I should look out for? Lookin to sell.

i guess though you do get to shuffle beacon into your library after playing it so you can just use it to survive if need be and then when you have the remedy in play and you draw it again you can just kill people

Have Revised Badlands, Savannah, Mana Vault, Demonic Tutor. I know not many play, what is it... Legacy? Ive been out for about 10 years.

lions eye diamond is probably something youd wanna look out for as well

Very true. I do love a free shuffle. But I have been thinking about dropping tainted remedy for a while now. I really want a cataclysmic gearhulk and a noxious gearhulk.

sure, if you are dropping the card there is no reason for the beacon, also it seems like you lack a demonic tutor

Old land cards are really worth looking for. You should check prices on anything you have that you think might be worth something. But I wasn't around for mirage. I got in back around coldsnap

tbh it doesn't seem half bad against token decks. Especially if you're playing commander

Anyone know what site/program can make cards like this?

Don't think I have that one.
That they are and always was.
It's interesting that after all these years I still recognize most cards that I have by name or by image. I miss playing tbqh.

i would swap blind obedience for that and run Kismet as a third

>>/tg/

I think it's a great card and you should definitely run all three. As well as all the w or b/w enchant creature, can't attack or block or activate abilities ones. There's like 3 or 4 of those and they're all fun as hell to shut people down with

I have a demonic and vampiric tutor.

wasteland
mox diamond
sliver queen
ensnaring bridge
volraths stronghold
city of traitors
survival of the fittest
intuition
scroll rack
ancient tomb

apparently im a blind fuck

Thread seems to be doing pretty alright where it is

I actually had to open my deckbox and check.

I wish I had the mox's. Volrath's stronghold sound familiar as well as some others.. I might have some.

if you have revised then you might also have some aliances, where there is force of will which is also a money card

very situational, the life gain is anecdotal, and in late game it's useless.

it can help you win a race sometimes, but most times it's a blank

checked and i do agree with the summary

Also, I hated slivers that I never kept them. I do have one that locks them down, but I hear the cards are either banned or restricted now...

>group game
>sliver armies everywhere
>magic hand comes up
> lock down armies and let them grow to hundreds
>unleash the hordes under my control
>massive sliver army vs same
>spend 20 min in combat phase/attack
>three players decimated, two others limping
>next turn they gang up and wipe me out before I can do it again.
>mfw totally worth it

I never could trade for one of those... maybe... Played against it a few times though.

Fair, but the majority of my playgroup doesn't run much lifegain. It may be a very small amount but it adds up.

your playgroup is shit, stop being a big fish in a small pound, go to tournament, get beaten, and make better decks.

its pretty good in draft tho, since creatures can crew a vehicle even when they're still under summoning sickness
OPs card prevents this

pic related (crew ability)

have you ever heard of the concept of "overextend" ?

Keep creatures in hand in case of Wrath of God effect instead of putting all your force in play

Cumulatively they haven't even been playing half the time I have. I'm going on my 11th year, they're at maybe 5 total between all of them.

Checked
And now it's a one white global that, if played early, can start the life gain that white is good for. If you're lucky enough to get them all out early and not get countered, you're well onyour way to winning in life points... Lets hope they don't force lose other wise.

That's the thing, I had no creatures. I only had artifacts that could be turned into creatures. I wish there were more and I wish I had more at the time.

that's a lot of if, and the life gain is only important against someone who play a lot of small creature. If you're not in a race situation, the card won't do much

I don't have an issue with my gaining life, the only way it could be better is with celestial mantle, which I use in my bruna voltron. But what I feel like this card adds is another etb stasis that my opponent has to deal with, plus the constant loss of life they have to deal with.

It's good against a white, black or green if you're runnin white or white/black.

My opponent is constantly losing 2 life from obzibounce, 1 life from each extort trigger, and I have a fair amount of those, and any attacks I make. The 1 life loss isn't great, but it closes on in them fast and forces them to decide if it's a good idea to play that creature or not. At least that's how I feel about it.

Same addin that I'm an ol player. Last I looked, even the basic rules changed towards more like Portal bullshit.

>still buying mtg cards after Odyssey Expansion
fuck off with your shit tier Yu-gi-ohgodmakeitstop.

Onslaught Block and before or just play Fa-gi-oh (and even Onslaught is pushing it)

Same, back when Hatred came out, buddy of mine made a possible one turn kill deck. With every turn it was more likely to kill. Even in a group game it fared well untill tenth turn with slivers.

Thanks for the bump. Remember, sage goes in all fields.

you should run traumatize in your bruna deck, for milling yourself for an epic bruna things

As far as this deck that I ran, it was based on no creatures, counters, boomerang, and the center of it all was Reigns of Power and Portcullis. Absolutely devastating against the popular sliver decks of the time.

I play modern because standard a shit, running a WBG token deck using nothing but things from EDM, SoI, AR and Innistrad.

I never thought of that, actually. That's a pretty solid idea.

I like traumatize on yourself with graveyard mechanics.

its also pretty hillarious to do

Run Portcullis early, let everyone build massive armies while countering any opposition.. Artifact to creatures play simple defense. Once the armies bulge, boomerang the Portcullis to bring it all in, toss a few Reigns of Power( artifacts are not creatures then) and overrun everything and everyone.

>Odyssey

Oh yes, I loved turning up to play events just
to play 8 rounds against fucking UB Psychatog. Oh, actually, one time I got a breath of fresh air and was able to play against RUB Psychatog.

Kill yourself.

Me too, but I'm terrible with reanimator. Which is why I'm scrapping my skullbriar for atraxa.

kinda like playing madcap experiment and harrow flipping your entire deck gaining that much life cause you dont play artifacts

why dont you play gather specimen when bouncing the portcullis?

Again, heavy blue suppression and now either one or both of those cards are either restricted or banned. Bummer really. Like banning a Stasis deck or Meekstone/Weakstone

Doesn't even have to be legacy reanimator style targets

Narcomoeba, Ichorid, dredgers, crucible of worlds, flashback cards, yawgmoths will, past in flames, etc.

In fact, I may make an EDH deck of this right now. What colors shall it be...?

mono red

A friend of mine from college ran a pretty solid sadisi reanimator.

Here is the real eight fucking bears card.
