t. imaginary countries pro
>all of Britain owned by a French guy
>this somehow translates into "frogs btfo"
>normans
>french
lmoa
The very obvious fact that Normans are French has nothing to do with the map you posted of all the land owned by the dukes of Anjou.
This is like a poo in loo posting a map of the British empire with the title "brits btfo".
but why
>normans
>french
Apart from the fact that all these countries should not be united:
>Franconia is its own federal state
>Holland owns German clay
>Schleswig-Holstein is not its own state
>Alsace is not its own state
>South Tyrol is not part of Tyrol
>Weird ass alpes state
>Bavaria too small
>Denmark too big
I wouldn't really mind.
>
>
you forgot
>no switzerland
>Franconia is its own federal state
So?
>Holland owns German clay
That's Eastern Frisia.
>Schleswig-Holstein is not its own state
Does it actually have any kind of regional identity separate from Saxony or Denmark?
>Alsace is not its own state
Too small.
>South Tyrol is not part of Tyrol
Yes it literally is.
>Weird ass alpes state
What's weird about it, that's all the Franco-Provençal lands, they speak related dialects (historically that is, today they pretty much speak French).
>Bavaria too small
It's not, that's the part of "Bavaria" that is actually Bavaria. The rest of the Bundesland of Bavaria is either Franconia or Swabia, and was redistributed accordingly.
>Denmark too big
Well I'm not really sure about the Denmark/Saxony border desu like I said earlier.
>951 years later, your anus still burns
Belgium is on the verge of collapse with only two linguistic traditions, one culture and one religion. What makes you think a country of seven linguistic traditions, ten cultures and two religions can survive? And that's without the 200 years of shared history the Belgians have.
You also forgot that Flanders now has significant francophone territories. That can't go right.
>Flanders now has significant francophone territories
What, where?
Unless I'm not seeing it right, it appears to own part of Wallonia. If not, then that's the only thing this map does right.
Nope, it just includes Flanders, minus the Southern suburbs of Brussels.
Also Belgium was fine for almost two centuries, it's on the verge of collapse now because we live in the age of weak ass useless governments.
remove those islands and your golden
>>Franconia is its own federal state
>So?
I'm a Bavarian and I like Franconians being oppressed by us
>>Holland owns German clay
>That's Eastern Frisia.
As I said, German clay. There's no reason for the Dutch to have it
>>Schleswig-Holstein is not its own state
>Does it actually have any kind of regional identity separate from Saxony or Denmark?
Yes
>>Alsace is not its own state
>Too small.
At least name the state Alsace-Lorraine then
>>South Tyrol is not part of Tyrol
>Yes it literally is.
I'm pretty sure it extends much further into Italy than that
>>Weird ass alpes state
>What's weird about it, that's all the Franco-Provençal lands, they speak related dialects (historically that is, today they pretty much speak French)
I'll admit I didn't know that, still Switzerland would have been better
>>Bavaria too small
>It's not, that's the part of "Bavaria" that is actually Bavaria. The rest of the Bundesland of Bavaria is either Franconia or Swabia, and was redistributed accordingly.
I know, but I want Bavaria to be big. Idgaf about Swabians or Franconians.
>>Denmark too big
>Well I'm not really sure about the Denmark/Saxony border desu like I said earlier.
It's too far south because of the territory given to Denmark after WW1
>Also Belgium was fine for almost two centuries
When the entire upper class was French speaking and decided to destroy the Walloon language because why the fuck not. Had they managed to destroy Flemish as well the country might've been fine. But they didn't, and as democratization kicked in the country fell apart. From a unitary state to a federation to inevitably either a confederation or an outright split altogether.
If the largest party of the country is a fucking separatist country, then the country is on the verge of collapse. Plain and simple. Also
>Implying a good government needs to be big and strong
nice liberalism you have there faggot. Belgium fails because it has no identity, not because it's not marxist enough (believe me, they love their cultural enrichment. Many Flemish even prefer Arab "Flemish" over white Walloons).
>Find a flaw
Scotland
That was easy, wasn't it?
>As I said, German clay. There's no reason for the Dutch to have it
Well there's no reason for it to be separate from West Frisia, and it doesn't really fit into Westphalia. I'd make Frisia independent but it's too small.
>>Does it actually have any kind of regional identity separate from Saxony or Denmark?
>Yes
What's it called then? It can't be Schleswig-Holstein, composite names mean no real common identity.
>I'm pretty sure it extends much further into Italy than that
Nope, pic related.
>still Switzerland would have been better
Belgium tier non-country.
>It's too far south because of the territory given to Denmark after WW1
So you mean something like pic related?
>democratization kicked in
There's your problem.
>>Implying a good government needs to be big and strong
>nice liberalism you have there faggot
lol what the fuck, how to into English
You will have to slay 20 million soldiers mobilized to defend Spain.
But Scotland is the least useless part of England
The Kingdom of Kent shall rise again.
>>As I said, German clay. There's no reason for the Dutch to have it
>Well there's no reason for it to be separate from West Frisia, and it doesn't really fit into Westphalia. I'd make Frisia independent but it's too small.
All East Frisians speak German, barely anyone speaks Frisian, so they should be in a German-speaking region
>>>Does it actually have any kind of regional identity separate from Saxony or Denmark?
>>Yes
>What's it called then? It can't be Schleswig-Holstein, composite names mean no real common identity.
As if there were a real common identity in all those other states.
>>I'm pretty sure it extends much further into Italy than that
>Nope, pic related.
My bad
>>still Switzerland would have been better
>Belgium tier non-country.
Switzerland has existed for centuries and its territoried don't want to separate from each other, it is a country.
I overlooked things like Thuringia taking the newer historical Saxony too, btw. This map's ignorance of historical states is infuriating.
You forgot Poland
Yes
OK so how is this? Wait should Hamburg be in Schleswig or Saxony?
As for Thuringia there's basically no difference with the state of "Saxony". Same dialect, and that area was also settled by the Thuringii, it's just that there were also Sorbs but those aren't even Germans.
Now with labels.
You'd best mean Britain not Corsica
Update
I don't live in fucking Flanders
Belgian Brabant already took the name Flanders, why not Dutch Brabant too
>Leon and Lyon are different places
I've been making as ass of myself.
Federation when?
t. ned flanders
Federations weak, this is empire.
Provinces not states ok.
Why you don't divide Portugal?
Is there any major division that would make cultural and historical sense?
