Can you explain to a ignorant American why every single European country hates gypsies?
Like way more than other ethnic groups. I've met very liberal people that are cool with muslims/blacks/jews but really hate gypsies and travelers.

First of all we need to clarify something.
Gypsies refers to two peoples, the Romani and the Irish Travelers.
Irish Travelers are form Ireland and that exhausts my knowledge of them.
Romani are originally from Pakistan and were brought by the Ottomans to the Balkans from where they spread.
Romani are hated for many reasons, mainly for having little respect for other peoples property, public property, theft and other petty crime.
They are also known to run scams.
They live in isolation from mainstream society and produce little to their name. They often have low status jobs in state companies - cleaning streets and picking up the trash.
On top of that there is a very old brand of racism against them in much of Europe, similar to Jews.

For example, in a normal, middle class Muslim family you would be incentivised to get educated and be respectable.

In a gypsy family most of the family members are involved in shady things. This is not an assumption, but a fact, since Roma refuse to go and/or send their kids to school. They don't punish their kids for shite behaviour and stealing.

No they are here. More in the summer though.
There are gangs who ship them here in busses and vans. They have designated places outside store which they aggressivly defend. They also pick berries in the woods during the fall, and they usually attack other berry pickers and people in the woods who are intruding on their operations.

Imagine if they w were a motorcycle gang instead of a minority group.
