>Thinks London Calling is "Punk"

Two out of three aint bad OP but The Clash STOPPED being punk after Give 'em Enough Rope!

ramones > london calling > nevermind
you fucking idiot

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
Worst taste

that was just my example for what i think most people think personally i agree with you

>Malcom McClaren's mannequin boyband
>punk
Lol

London Calling is fucking trash

>cock sparrer -shock troops
>crass -feeding the 5000
>bad brains -bad brains

In no particular order........
The Heartbreakers (Johnny Thunders) L.A.M.F.
The Dead Boys: Young Loud and Snotty
The Damned: Damned X3

Good choices as those are favorites of mine but when talking about The Bad Brains are you referring to the ROIR cassette that was later released under the title "Attitude"? If so that's also a good album. My only problem with it is that they went and redid Pay to Cum when they should've just used the original version IMHO

I've been getting into punk and I've listened through most of the early proto and first-wave stuff. What are the essential albums of the early 80s stuff? Misfits? Bad Brains? Minor Threat?

>they were more successful than your favorite le real punk band could've ever hoped to be
How does it make you feel?

Misfits-Any Danzig era Misfits is fine but Earth A.D. and Walk Among Us are considered classics

Bad Brains-In my opinion you don't need to bother with any Bad Brains after I Against I. Everything before that is GOAT

Minor Threat-he only Minor Threat album ever made is a compilation of all their releases which were nothing more than e.p.s and a few compilation tracks. Still essential and in my opinion not a bad song in the bunch. (And take the whole "Straight Edge" rhetoric w/a grain of salt since Ian McKay basically regrets all of it. Not the philosophy but what people did with it)

Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables, Milo Goes to College, and Static Age are the best punk albums

Literally who?

Nice try, you can't plead ignorance with GC

This poster has excellent taste.
Take some advice from them.

What's a GC?

It's a reverse image search

I aint got no time for that shit.

Oh I get it now. Safe mall rat/Hot Topic punk.

Not w/o it's charm but I think I'd rather listen to NOFX

>I'd rather listen to NOFX
Yikes

Man, watching old footage of Stiv at CBGB, what a frontman. Wish I could have been there.

London Calling is literally a reggae album

>nevermind
o i am laffin

>pleb taste:the post.

Minor Threat, Black Flag, Misfits, Dead Kennedys and Descendents

Ignore anyone that calls Black Flag a meme, they're a meme in the same way MBV is a meme in that they put out genre-defining albums and have been talked about so much that people are sick of them

...

What about Circle Jerks, Germs, The Vandals?

This is fucking impossible..

Misfits - Static Age
Kickback - No Surrender
His Hero is Gone - Monuments to Thieves
DK - Fresh Fruit
Descendents - I Don't Wanna Grow Up
Blacklisted - Heavier Than Heaven, Lonelier Than God
GISM - Detestation
Discharge - Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing
Paintbox - Trip, Trance and Travelling
Dystopia - Human = Garbage

That's 10 masterpieces, but still the only one I'd 100% put in a top 3 of all time is Paintbox.

1. The Fucking Cunts Treat us Like Pricks-flux of pink indians
2. Album: Generic-Flipper
3.First two seven inches-Minor Threat

I'm going in the same direction as you, Ramones first, London Calling then Never Mind the Bollocks

'...treats us...' over 'strive...' ?

>le punk isn't dead teenage fucks
Ramones>Sex Pistols>The Clash

>I saw a G.G. Allen documentary once
Sex Pistols>The Clash>Ramones

>Morning, son
The Clash>Ramones>Sex Pistols
