Depressing Thread

Post your favourite suicide-inducing album. Starting with a meme album, but it's fucking great anyway so whatever.

More basic Sup Forums tier.

>I'll always believe your blood promise

just fucking kill me

Either/Or

rly like this album.

dendron is my favorite song.

Obligatory. Perfect combination of depressing lyrics, vocals, and music.

...

This album isn't depressing. It inspires you to pick up a guitar and start writing songs.

Good choice dude, love Hotelier

Dude this album shreds. Are you insane?

no im depressed
don't tell me you're one of those self-diagnosed kids who thinks everybody feels the same kind of depression.

Isn't this a film?

It had a soundtrack.
Suprisingly they were individual tracks.

Beck - Sea Change

I'm neither self diagnosed nor depressed, even though I probably could be if I wanted to. This is the type of album that should bring a little bit of light into your day, not the other way around. Buckley is one of the reasons why I started learning guitar, he was really a magnificent player. His music never struck me as the "depressive" type. Emotive definitely, but not depressive.

Much like Elliott, I think his music has garnered a reputation that doesn't quite fit it.

...

i mean, isn't it obvious?/

It's as obvious as it is lame

its depressing for me.
listen to forget her, so real and lilac wine
anyway why be in a depression thread if you haven't experienced it??

...

Devendra Banhart - Mala

its not depressing per se, but I was VERY depressed when i listened to it, so much that when i hear it, it makes me physically sick to my stomach.

I agree with you dude: whenever I smoke loads of weed with my friends, I get really depressed the next day and I'll listen to a bit of Elliott to cheer me up.

Red Planet is 10/10 closer desu

haha fuck dude u were so close to quints

Leviathan - Scar Sighted

For the first minutes it may seem like typical atmospheric black/death, but as the album progresses, it just becomes more and more unsettling. One of the most emotionally straining first listens i ever experienced.

Best Smiths album by far.

Can someone explain to me why leaning into a depression helps me out of it faster?

>I found out I am really no one

...

Tried to kill myself with this on. -1/10, never want to go back to that darkness.

From going in and out of the cycle a few times, it could be because you start to feel like you look like a moron and that you're wasting time and you're so indecisive that it won't result in anything anyways so you might as well just suck it up and try to get back at grinding through life even though it's less fun every iteration if you let yourself stop to think about it.

all very good

A+ choice

is your suicide just a bad trip?

shit, this is what I was planning on listening to when I kill myself

Fuck, I'm listening to this right now. I started listening to it after some cool user said it reminded him of "her" on some thread.
It's pretty nice and feelsy, but it gives me more of a nostalgic vibe rather than a dark, depressing one.

its a rainy sunday and i'm in the middle of my feelings. could easily become bummed out or easily feel happy. fucking tempted to chuck carrie and lowell on the turntable and float away to rainy sadnesss

ja
kind of lame

This album is not in the "Sad" part of my spectrum. It's just sounds waaay too promising as though there's so much hope. It's certainly not depressing either.

>not sad
>about passing of mother
>the only thing is basically a suicide note

He does it in not a sad way though. He could sing about cutting his veins in a hot bath and it'd still sound like he is on picnic.

if you stumbled upon just about any lyric from that album written on a scrap piece of paper by a friend, you'd at the least ask if they're okay. I think the delivery is just the way he is as a person where at his core he is positive. C&L is definitely his 'sad' album though
