From what I've learned so far, Bernie practically had all the independents...

From what I've learned so far, Bernie practically had all the independents, but the DNC just had to have its golden girl as the candidate, he was clearly a favorable candidate who would've given a tough competition to Trump. Explain like I'm Five:

How the fuck did DNC get away with this shit?

>tfw Clinton is more conservative than Sanders on issues of Domestic violence

benevolent sexism, basically the idea that she's owed something because of her sex parts. the same reason people thought obama would win. the worst part is any criticism will be hand waved away on grounds of sexism.

to be fair, we should only have one set of laws concerning assault across genders. in what ways is a crime against anyone person worse than one against any other?

This election really radicalized a lot of people, didn't it? Earlier this year I was a Bernie bro, now I'm an ansyn/com and you have a lot of right-wingers openly saying "hey fascism isn't so bad"
>November 2016
>still being in an American political party
>still supporting power-hungry sociopaths
To the fringes, everyone. To the fringes.

>super deligates

>How the fuck did DNC get away with this shit?
they didn't

>Socialism worked in Germany, right?
>Socialism worked in China, right?
>Socialism worked in Cuba, right?

Socialism works, right?
Socialism had failed time and time again. Bernie sanders is a democratic socialist.
Try to spot the noun and the adjective there.

Trump is going to secure our country when he is elected. These Mexicans are crossing our border and the influx of middle eastern immigrants is here because it is better than their homelands.
Why is the US better than their homelands, you ask?

>Because at least half, if not most, of the unemployed here aren't productive simply because they are lazy.
>Many of those living in poverty are poor simply due to not making things better for themselves.
>Immigrants take jobs, and welfare recipients complain that they can't find jobs while they spend their federal handouts on booze, pot, and whatever the fuck else they want.

>Bernie wanted to help these people by giving them taxpayers' hard earned money, while trump will to force them into productivity.
>If they don't want to be productive when there are more jobs and opportunities, then they will suffer.

end of story

Because little old Bernie is too far left to sway any moderate republicans into voting for him. The reason why Clinton lost is because she didnt get out as much of the minority vote as she needed

Trump wouldve eaten him alive but Bernie's support wouldve been too loyal for that to have effect and yes replacing 'uncle' Bernie with Hillary the rich witch Clinton cost DNC the election

I love it when PC backfires

they lost the election you dunce

Disagree about Trump but agree about Bernie

>Venezuela thought socialism would be good
>good
topkek

She legit got all of the minority vote. Both white males and females in majority voted for Trump

They probably thought they could win on the 'progressive' image bias vote with females...guess they failed to consider how lazy most American women are...Her and Obama are the best things to happen to the Republican party in a while though.

kek

She got all of the ones who voted, sure, but she needed more general turnout. Also all of the Bernie fucktards fucked her over by saying "hur hur ever hillary" and voting green or libertarian

...

Your fetishization of labor (work, dammit, work!) is null and void once robots replace 90% of the working class and UBI pops in. Also your understanding of socialism is flawed and based on American (I assume) bourgeois propaganda and subliminal ideology.

The end goal of socialism is Star Trek. Anyone tells you otherwise, they're misleading you to keep you raking in their profits. Don't be the bitch of the elite, friend. Don't be a slave of the masters if you can help it.

>half of the people that vote = half of america

think again math wiz

Do you know anything about economics beyond what Fox News/ your dad has told you? None of this makes sense.

> Implying Clinton Campaign did not threaten Bernie
Get your fucking mind right faggot. HRC has been puttin niggas in the dirt since Reagan was in charge. Bernie got out the race to save his own skin. He'd have been a dead man before he'd have been president. Nothin the old jew coulda done.

Damn shame though, that nigga kept it real. He was a fuckin socialist commie fuck, but at least he stood by his beliefs. Men of principle always get fucked the hardest.

Sanders used the term "socialist" for one reason only:

He wanted to own it before Republicans could turn it against him.
He's actually a "social democrat", the system that most of Europe runs.

You know, the place where people don't fall into debt from going to University or getting their appendix removed? Europe.

If he had ran as a "social democrat" though, Republicans would have attacked his "thinly veiled socialism" (because Americans seemingly have no idea what socialism actually is) and everyone would have called him "socialist democrat".

Simple PR.

Exactly. Real socialists disown Bernie. Bastard killed Rosa.

your ideas of poverty are rather childish. you're right insofar though that welfare indeed sets mechanisms in place that hold the lower classes back from improving their situation, but future emperor trumps economic plans still are not sound. they completely miss americas place in the world, why that is and the reasons for her wealth. (it's trade, securing trade roots is btw. the reason for americas interventionism and the giant military spending.) thus even though the planned tax cuts are great, especially for the poor, all in all it's not going to be a great 4 years.

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_Germany. ....germany is still socialist and yes it did work. Maybe east germany is what you mean? They were a soviet model communist. China was a type of communist not socialist as well and I guess are still but not really but yeah it did work. Killed a lot of people but industrlized the country who now is buying are debt and has a much stronger postion in the world then before. Also bay of pigs anyone lol why did it fail in Cuba. Have you been or is it still blocked because the CIA failed agian.

Don't care about Sanders, but Socialism has worked in Germany for over 150 years. You are probably reffering to Fascism which by it's nature is completely contrarian to Socialism.

At least she blamed herself to the teeth. She violently clinged to her ambitions despite everything, now she'll forever be known as the wrecking ball to both the Clinton and the Obama legacy.
The only hope is that she'll take down this disgusting corporatism with her.

I've already responded to you but reading through your post again, fuck man you sound like my friend who thinks Jesus Christ was a gun-toting capitalist from Missourah. Go easy on the ideology. It's so pure.

This is why I'm not even that mad that she lost. Of course Trump will be terrible, but the DNC colluding with its chosen candidate to quiet the voices of the members of their own part was just unforgivable. They deserved to lose.

...

>Socialism has worked in Germany for over 150 years.

Socialism funded by capitalism

Because they have the money, Bernie only had the people

>Hayek
>Expects to be taken seriously

2016 was primed for an outsider candidate like Trump or Sanders to win.

The problem was that the Dems were slightly more OK with an insider candidate (since they liked the current Dem administration) and Clinton had way more name recognition. Sanders didn't have enough time to establish himself nationally before Clinton had run up a lead on him.

What I'd like to know is why only so few Democrats ran in the primaries. Why weren't they more actively recruiting more potential candidates for the primaries like Cory Booker, or Tim Kaine?

>Hayek shared the 1974 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences with Gunnar Myrdal for his "pioneering work in the theory of money and economic fluctuations and ... penetrating analysis of the interdependence of economic, social and institutional phenomena.

really? what's next, are you going to deny Niels bohr's credibility?

They didn't, they lost

Cheater cheater cheater

Except when 2% more hispanics voted for trump in florida

No room here for commonsense. Fuck off.

>How the fuck did DNC get away with this shit?

The democrats let them, that's how

Every other candidate would have won against trump but they chose her cause she's a woman.
I would not have voted trump if they took sanders, to be honest.

It's easy it wasn't about wining its was about control. Old burn like trump would have taken away that control.

Keep telling yourself that princess

Bernie...a white man telling other white people that they know not how it is to be black? And he does?

seriously get over it, a man who hasnt had a job in 40 years as the president of a country with over 300mil population?

Good job you understand what the distant future will be like. Now let's look at the present where every nation who gives comtrol over to pyschopaths turns to shit. If you want to live in 1984 and a brave new world ASAP charge forward with giving the state unlimited power. Until then how about let's put a system in place where people in power can and will be held accountable for being pieces of shit. Unlike now when turn a murdering thieving taping monster into a saint just because he tows the party line example Nelson Mandela. Right now our best option is capitalism deal with reality instead of you fantasy and delusions.

i really like that caricature

>explain it like I'm five
>so I can disagree with everything like I'm five

Jews, fuckboi.

...

ITT people on both sides think "socialism" means "capitalism conservatives don't like."

Socialism is an economic system in which the means of production (the factories, the businesses, etc, etc) are all owned by the government. If someone asks who your boss is, you get to say "Uncle Sam." "The government does things in the economy" is not socialism. That's still capitalism. That doesn't mean we can't argue about what the government should or shouldn't do it in the economy - we can and should argue about that. But it's still fucking capitalism.

Sanders calls himself a democratic socialist. I honestly don't know why. There is nothing socialist about the man's proposals. Europe is the same way. There are a lot of "democratic socialist" parties that aren't even remotely fucking socialist. I blame conservative media for using socialist as a scary buzzword so often that it's lost all meaning.

Democratic socialism looks nothing like Leninism. In part because (as already mentioned) democratic socialism usually isn't even fucking socialism WHY THE FUCK ARE PEOPLE SO BAD AT THIS GOD DAMNIT FUCK YOU YOU UNEDUCATED PIECES OF SHIT WORDS MEAN THINGS SO GO FUCKING LEARN THEM. But more importantly it doesn't look like Leninism because obedience to the party is an explicit tent of Leninism. As in, "obey our glorious socialist overlord Lenin or we'll shoot you in the face" was an explicit party platform. In that sense, it was basically just fascism in a different skirt. Instead of unifying people behind the glorification of a nationality/ethnicity (while executing dissenters), it sought to unify people behind the glorification of a philosophy (while executing dissenters). Surprise surprise: any politician who promises to oppress only half of the citizens will end up oppressing all of them. Don't vote for fascists, kids. It's a trap.

It really boils down to three things:
1. Sanders was pretty unknown to most Americans before this election season. The more time he was given to spread his name recognition, the higher his polling went. Unfortunately he didn't have enough time. HRC had a shitload of name recognition so she just coasted off of that for the most part.
2. DNC corruption pulling the strings in favor of HRC.
3. HRC outspending him through use of super-PACs, though he probably could've overcome this regardless.

It wasn't illegal for the DNC and CNN to favor Hillary, just like it wasn't illegal for the RNC and Fox News to favor Jeb! and Ted Cruz. Trump succeeded as an underdog and Bernie didn't.

>right now our best option is capitalism
I've heard and read this several times and it's gotten to the point where the speaker or writer is trying to convince him or herself more than anyone.

I really don't know what more one can say to get across the point that capitalism is functional, but it functions so inefficiently across the majority of the machine. A better engine is possible, but we're so dead set on using this one because "it works".

money and nepatism

simple kid. electability.

Why did you tag me, I'm an anarcho-syndicalist with Marxist sympathies not a "muh Scandinavian socialism" liberal.

I read this too in Picard.

Bernie had no chance against trump buddy, sorry your man will thankfully never be president

The reason she lost is because she was unable to capture a particular segment of the electorate. Like Obama did with minorities and trump did with no college whites. Her campaign lacked a clear message that appealed to a specific group. It seems it is easier to get people's vote based on race or than it is based in sex.

...

The DNC are crooked shills and that bitch chairwoman should be in prison. They sabotaged their own election and got away with it because people won't dare to challenge the political parties because they're too fucking lazy. The elected politicians benefit so obviously they do nothing.

oops wrong tag user, I was emphatically enraged by all these responses, just went on a tagging spree without stopping once. I'm completely with you on the ideology.

also this thread reminds me of the words of Alexander Hamilton:
>"The republican principle demands that the deliberate sense of the community should govern the conduct of those to whom they intrust the management of their affairs; but it does not require an unqualified complaisance to every sudden breeze of passion or to every transient impulse which the people may receive from the arts of men, who flatter their prejudices to betray their interests."

Trump is gonna remove ObamaCare. THAT'S BAD

Bernie supported BLM and pandered to kids.

See, here's the thing, there were like 3X the Bernie fans as there were Hillary fans. And Hillary only won the DNC with a lot of collusion from insiders. Bernie was clearly miles more popular with average Americans. I've met hundreds of Bernie fans, never met a Hillary supporter who wasn't going to vote for her begrudgingly. The most glowing praise I've ever heard from anyone about Hillary is that she's "not Trump".

If the lefties ran Bernie as the Democratic option for President, they would have had a landslide victory, but they wanted someone who'd be a better puppet.

If this election has taught us anything it's that the American public are sick of political puppets putting the interests of wall street, bankers, the military industrial complex, big oil, etc.; over the American people's best interest.

And the puppet-masters LOVED Hillary, someone with no convictions that just legislates in favor of the highest bidder..... Trump was far too much of a rogue for their liking.

If the Dems ran a lefty who had solid principles that he believed in, it would have been theirs, but a puppet vs an anti-establishment right guy is going to be a one sided victory. And I knew it. I made money betting on Trumps victory.

After Obama and George W are evenly tied for worse president in history, we're beginning to see neither establishment right nor left can get the job done. And Hillary would have ran things just like Obama, but maybe with a bit more corruption, surveillance, and warmongering.
