Ich weiß, ihr wollt mich nicht in eurem Land, aber ich kann nicht weiter in Amerika leben... Danke für eure Hilfe.

Das ist mein Antwort... Studieren mehr.

Ich hab keine Ahnung was du damit sagen willst.

My english is not very good but at least i can understand you if you write in english. So please keep writing in english and i will answer your questions if this thread dies not die first.

Your reply told me all I need to know. German is fucking difficult, so I'm obviously not ready to move yet.

I want to go back to school to learn a science/valuable trade. Europe has free options for school and German sounds cool and has an interesting history. They're also right in the middle of where I'd want to travel.

As an international med student living and studying in Germany, with friends all over the country studying engineering in best tech schools,
i think i can help you with your questions

NRW?

How long did it take you to learn German enough to beat comfortable where you live?
How much german do you know and how many of your classes are taught in english?
What school/city are you in?

ja, kölle

I have a Pakistani friend, who told me he needs around 5k Eur to be eligible for a visa.
People from the us might need less.

We're full Op.
I don't want my taxes to be spent on your sorry ass, faggot
Also: You wouldn't need to learn german. every fucking student in a bigger city is eager to show off his command of english

Any way if you compare Germany and America for how much it will cost to study then Germany is obviously the better choice. Because it is fucking cheap to study here. There is no tuition fee unless you want to study at a private University. But you must pay about 150 to 200€ as semester fee and also life expenses.

It took me about 3 years to get my C1-Certificate, which shows that you are capable of understanding most of the spoken and written language
I am currently studying in Cologne, Medicine
All my classes are in German, but i know that some universities teach classes in english

Noice. Looking to move to Dortmund next year. Want to study Wirtschaftsinformatik at an FH. But gotta work and earn some money first...

You living on campus/alone/WG?

Now that's the kind of reply I was expecting.

Two of the three universities I've looked at so far require german proficiency.

I live alone in a 30sqm apartment, one room, kitchen and bathroom. paying 400 all inclusive monthly

For tech schools you would need a B1 or B2 certificate, some schools also will require you to take a test called TestAS

Haha, I actually just moved to Germany to start a degree in the IT field. Go to daad.de to look up degrees. You can do a degree in English for free, you don't need to learn German first. I have about 60k USD saved from my previous job. My rent is 400 euro a month, but I'm planning to move to a student dorm soon where it will be 300 euro a month. It's about 80 Euro a month for health insurance, local transport is free with my student card. I spend about 200 to 300 / month on food and going out, but I live pretty cheaply, and make most of my own meals.

>leaving your country because of Trump
don't be such a whiny bitch
next year is Bundestagswahl with the new chancellor likely not beeing to your taste too

You're literally the first person to utter his name in the thread.

dont mind these faggots, follow you dreams

ah yea. Studentenbude. Going out a lot or studying 24/7?

60k christ. How long did that take you? Doing what?

Where are you studying? What was the application process like? Are you staying in Germany permanently?

Here is all you need to know about visa (i assume you are from the USA): m.germany.info/Vertretung/usa/en/05__Legal/02__Directory__Services/01__Visa/__Visa.html

If you are not than search for your local german consulate. On their website you will find all information.

i am studying 24/7 as it is required like all my friends at school. So much to learn...
I am normally not "asocial" but a mans got to do what hes got to do

Well, i'd say go for the ones where classes are held in english.
Learning german isn't worth it if you don't want to stay here for a long while.
Read some testimonys from Amerifat-expats living in germany, you'd be suprised of how many of them can't stand it. I'ts not only homesickness.
Spare yourself that expierience and spare my taxmoney is what i'm saying

I had my own flat, been to college twice. Dropped out because I never slept at my apartment. Party on wednesday, friday, saturday and sunday. dead whole monday (molly/coke).

Dunno if I should start over

International school teacher in Asia for 4 years, it took me about 2 and a half years to earn the savings, I spend the first year and a half paying off debt.. I paid off about $15,000 in grad school debt. My salary wasn't super high, but it increased every year as I changed schools. First year I made 20k usd a year, 2nd I made 40k usd, third I made 50k, 4th year I made about 65k. Taxes were really low, and cost of living is low too, and I live pretty frugally, so I saved over half my salary. I'm sick of teaching though, and like programming as a hobby, so I'm changing careers.

The application process is pretty easy. Just turned in all my documents basically, and got accepted. But you need to apply through uni-assist first to your documents sorted out. The details are all on daad.de

Hey there buddy!

You should amass at least 20 k for your shit to get settled. You will not find a student job easy if you don't speak the language well. Get a C1 or C2 Degree as top priority.

Studying Science is a good idea, but be carefull where. You don't want to go to Berlin, I study there currently and it is a left wing shithole governed by left, socialist and green party. So nothing works, but food and housing is cheap. Better go north or South. Just not Berlin and close environnement

Do not get a car when you come over - you wont need it as a student. Make sure however to get your license approved, you could work in delivery until your German Degree comes in and you can work a non-nigga job.

Cheers, I'll buy you a beer if I ever meet you.

Let me answer you first questions:
1)you need 8000 euro to apply for a residence permit, it will be put into a blocked bank account. This money is kind of an insurance. It will be used to pay for your rent, school tuition fees and health insurance. you will probably need like 15000 dollars a year(2 Semesters)
2)Best Tech schools in Germany are as follows, be warned, even germans can not apply for some of these schools:
RWTH Aachen
Tu München
Karlsruhe Ins. Tech

I think OP allready left this thread

Probably

Thanks a bunch. I figured I should learn the language at least to B1 or B2 to get a basic job... Valuable information there....

I thought as much... I'll need the visa and my own money yeah? They'll automatically take living expenses from the other account?

Nah still here and reading.

Perfect, i am still here ask if you have any more questions

Btw you do the arrangement for money concerns,
you first apply for a visa in Usa, then you come here to germany get yourself matriculated, then you appy for a residence permit here

I have gotten most of the info I need. The gist was study the language and save more money. I just want to get away from accounting but need to go back to school to do so.

Thanks all for the help!

no prob man, wish you best of luck in your future endevours
