He fucked Ronnie over.

Anyone would've taken that deal. Get out of jail free card for you and your wife? Way too good.

Vic Mackey is so based that he killed Jax Teller without even trying years after he was disgraced as a detective.

>tfw he tells Shane over the phone that he has no leverage over him anymore because of the immunity and Shane realizes how fucked he truly is

So satisfying, fuck Shane.

Such a shitty ending in comparison to The Shield.

Nah it was cool. Nothing will top The Shield but Sons was a nice try.

>mfw the ending of Family Meeting, part 1

Dr. Pavel
I'm LAPD

Fuck, that show was great

Such a shitty last 3 seasons. Still beats the shit out of the Bastage Electrician

>that scene when it's finally all over and he knows it so he snitches to the FBI and admits everything he's done under the condition of full immunity and they had no fucking clue he had done any of it

>guys give me full immunity pls
>ok, it's done, so what did you do?
>I killed a ton of people, but you can't punish me because of this shitty deal four people know about

Why is this allowed?

What was her fucking problem?

>that time the strike team got blacked

bleedingcool.com/2016/06/12/the-shield-creator-shawn-ryan-says-he-has-ideas-for-vic-mackey/

Going undercover as dirty cops...
Think you can pull that off?

>mfw I'm a nigger with a faggot nigger son

...

Those earlier seasons with the crew dealing with gangsters and being bros were so comfy. After Lem dies this show gets so miserable.

>that part in the very last episode where Shane kills himself rendering the ICE immunity pointless, but it's already too late

currently on the third episode of the final season, but i already know generally how it ends.
Can't wait to see it all come down.

She was gonna let Vic fuck, but he fucked it up with his confession.

She doesn't want no cop-killer dick.

She did kinda get her revenge by helping his family get away though.

The show has plenty of shocking moments that don't involve character deaths. Though there are two things that I wish weren't spoiled for me: Lem's death and Shane's family suicide. Seeing those without prior knowledge would be amazing.

I see you lack reading comprehension.

>it's an Aceveda sucks a dick like a cell bitch episode.

youtube.com/watch?v=r2aINQduzqM

I was trying to further prove your point.

>even Vic fucking Mackey doesn't berate him for that too much
>meanwhile his wife is all THEY MADE YOU SUUUUCK?

well... yes... this was the intent. to make you feel comfy, and then hit you over the head with revealing just how unstable that comfiness was.

really ? no sympathy for Shane at all ?

I thought that that was one of the most incredible writing stunts in tv is to make Shane kinda likeable after 7 seasons of beeing a total asshole

Also one of the best acting moments when he cries on the phone completely lost and hopeless

Vic was smart enough to keep Aceveda as an ally. It's probably the only right choice he made.

>shield tv show
>"jump the boogie" starts playing

god fucking damn I remember this!

Every fucking week for like ten episodes.

did aceveda have that guy's head crushed by a weight?

he got Antwon to do it.

>Seeing those without prior knowledge would be amazing.

they were

I was rooting for Vic all the way. I liked Shane before he killed Lem. Of course some people might find Vic just as bad as Shane or even worse, that's why this show was so great.

I always thought Anthony Anderson was a fat talentless faggot but this show proved me wrong. One of the finest gangster portrayals in media history.

I'm personally team Shane, was until the very end. He's how I would imagine all Southerners if they moved to Los Angeles.

Vic was a bit of a babby in the end.

>just escaped charges that would send him on death row in certain states
>the only one of the team who isn't dead or in prison
>waaaaah I have to write reports for 3 years and wear a suit waaaaah

Billings best character

Agreed
>Hey, I'm headed home. You know what? I think I'll take that personal day.

So was Dutch a pedo serial killer

>disarm you with a smile

no. but he was the temperament that would have been if raised differently.

which is why things like him and the laptop and the cat were so unsettling, he was one degree away of doing those things for pleasure, as a criminal.

those final two episodes in the downfall of Lem were so goddamn claustrophobic. I watched it with prior knowledge of shane murdering him, but it was so genuinely uncomfortable watching him caged up in that trailer and on the run.

Best captain.

Based Billings

>The Wire and The Shield aired at the same time
>not a single worthwhile cop drama since then

So what happened to Ronnie? Could he be able to get a deal?

Southland

True Detective season 1, Luther, Southland, Bosch.

>you're under arrest
>for what
>the last three years

Best part of the finale

CCH Pounder is a great porn name

youtube.com/watch?v=lsDLkDmzhJQ

Felt sorry for Ronnie though. He was 100% loyal to Vic.

that was so fucking good I burst out laughing

Anyone else want to see something cooler done with Dutch? Like he begins working on a serial murder/rapist case that earns him a lot of attention, with a big reveal that it was actually him murdering/raping people for attention and his own pleasure

fuck off Kurt, and go call Shawn Ryan to get started on another show.

It's a tough call.

Lem gave every indication that he was going to rat out his bros. You cannot really forgive shane for this actions but would you really not want someone like that looking after your back?

>it's a they spend so much time dedicated to Julien being gay to suddenly drop it season

the Armenian money train?

FAMILY MEETING

>gave his kids autism
>did nothing wrong

>it's a Vic falls for the "vaccines cause autism" meme episode

...

bastard executioner was so bad

>b loyale to your capo
>get fucked

I guess some things are universal.

because he turned straight

That was the point. Up to that moment, Vic maintained the illusion that all of the bad shit they did, starting with executing the snitch, was for the good of the team.

Then it turns out that Vic would stab Ronnie in the back to keep himself out of trouble, so all that bad shit they did was just bad shit.

>Shane didnt uncuck the entire team

mfw this part hits
vimeo.com/63867509

>Julien but no Ronnie?

What the fuck?

Actually Vic was 100% for the team until he saw Corrine get arrested (which was fake since she worked with them) and the possibility of the mother of his children going to prison was too much. Before that he genuinely turned down the deal since it didn't include Ronnie.

Ronnie was almost a no character the first seasons..

Ronnie was cucked out of screen time in the first seasons. He was also vastly different - more of an awkward but extremely competent nerd while later he turned into a ruthless Chad.

Those were the effects of his pedo moustache

Vic did things wrong but he was smart enough to get away with them. The biggest problem was Shane went out on his own and thought he could act like Vic and get away with it too. Shane was too fucking stupid to be like Vic though. Shane continually fucks things up for the strike team over and over.

she was a complete moron. congrats on missing the point

who /spook street/ here

Guys, from which episode is this scene?

Secret pedophile
Psychopath tendencies
Obsessed with serial killers
Torture animals

How is this not the best character in the series

Fin it, s5e1

Kurt Sutter, SoA and Bastard Executioner respectively are to The Shield what Terence Winter, BWE and Vinyl are to The Sopranos.

>be Sutter
>work on Shield, good show
>get in tune with good show's good storytelling and write some great episodes
>go-to guy for that real titillating violent shit
>show ends
>shortly move on to run a new crime show with similar tone and subject matter but a flashier and generally bigger, more exciting execution
>it's successful and gets a solid following but nowhere near the quality of the first show
>go on to run your second show and totally fuck it up, get canceled after 1 season

>be Winter
>work on Sopranos, good show
>get in tune with good show's good storytelling and write some great episodes
>go-to guy for that real titillating violent shit
>show ends
>shortly move on to run a new crime show with similar tone and subject matter but a flashier and generally bigger, more exciting execution
>it's successful and gets a solid following but nowhere near the quality of the first show
>go on to run your second show and totally fuck it up, get booted from showrunner position after 1 season

>best character in the series
yes
>pedophile
no

they had to drop the julien storyline because the actor was uncomfortable playing a gay character, so they basically had to repress his sexuality and play the storyline out balancing a tightrope of ambiguity in which the actor can reasonably believe the character turned straight and the audience can reasonably believe he just climbed deep into the closet. any focus on julien's sexuality would ruin that balance. since his whole character was defined by his closet homosexuality, there was literally nothing left to do with him so they left him sort of chilling in background shots or popping up as a familiar face when they needed a patrol officer to do something unimportant. no idea what the actor's fucking problem was, but between suddenly refusing to play a gay character and murdering his wife something is not right there.

I hope to fuck that the blu-rays have these taken out. Home releases should have previously on as optional only.

I'm looking forward to rewatching it, though.

I reacted the same as Mac
