RHCP - Snow
How do I get into playing acoustic? I bought a nice seagull, spent a lot on it, but it just sits there. don't know what to play, considering just selling it for whatever I can get, and lose a few hundred bucks.
memorize your basic chords and you learn a thousand songs.
memorize your scales and you learn a thousand more
or just buy a starter book and actually spend time with it
try for more than 10 hours per week, at least
uhhhhhhhhhh
Soubds like that shoo bop song

Over the hills and far away.
very nice user.
Wind cries Mary. I love your taste in music
I wanna say Ramble On, but defenitly Zep
thanks, good advice. I'm not a beginner actually, probably more like novice/getting into intermediate.
Scales is definitely the next step, but I have a hard time getting used to thinking in terms of notes and intervals rather than just fretboard numbers. music theory is a bitch, so I bounce between working on technique on electric and playing acoustic for learning the fretboard/scales. I guess it just takes time, but I'm often unmotivated. I always pictured my guitar playing would be a peaceful hobby, but I often find it's just pointless now, but you could say that about anything in life...
good one op, you're cool
Disturbed?
