>Was it ever good?

No. Re-watch the first episode. It's porn acting with a shitty soap opera tier plot and lots of gratuitous nudity to keep your attention.

Yes. Quality is the same as in season one, but it got old. Season one was exciting because it was new and fresh and original. You can't have the same shit for 6 years though. Never watch a show while it's on-going. Wait for the finale, then binge watch all season in a year or less. More than that, it gets too familiar and boring.

yeah it was good imo

became trash when they started pandering to twitter and making it a meme show.

khaleesi was the only good character and they didn't have her go anywhere

Moo

>meme show
What? What does this even mean? Why is everything a meme to /fit/, Sup Forums, Sup Forums, and Sup Forums these days?

Halfway through season 4 is when you notice D&D start running out of material on a lot of story lines and there is a noticeable panicked and half assed take over for a few arcs.
beginning of season 5 is where it becomes apparent that the series is shitting the bed because even though they had material on some character story lines, it is apparent that D&D want to go their own way but put seemingly even LESS effort into it than when they had grrm's material just to adapt.

I remember that I didn't Daenerys at a certain point in the earlier seasons

>meme post

it went wrong when HBO fucked with Martin's cast flow.

Imagine if Tolkien had mad money thrown at him?

Shit would NOT have been the literary masterpiece of the 20th century.

It would be a god damned comercial nightmare, which is exactly what Thrones has become.

First season is great, second has some changes and other things take precedence over Theon taking Winterfell but still alright, season 3 was when the show was brought into total normalfag control because the Red Wedding reaction videos. D&D started pandering to them for shock and quick ratings rather than trying to stick to the source material.

Strong womyn (Dany, the sea girl whatever her name is, Sansa (sigh)) helped by """men""" (eunuque Theon, eunuque bald guy, dwarf, littlepenis) will conquer and save the world

Which game would you throne and why is it the High Sparrow?

>implying that car isn't stolen

based sparrow btfoing out of degeneracy

he's literally done nothing wrong.

There is no reason you couldn't have posted this in the general.

>yfw Jon turns out to be the son of a Fisherwoman after all
>Yfw Rhaegar actually was crazy and kidnapped and raped Lyanna
Gotdamn I'd love that

>Yara will ally with Danny
>Sansa will ally with Danny
>Sand Snakes will ally with Danny
>Margery will ally with Danny
>Melisandre will ally with Danny

And who are you the proud lord said...

>Strong womyn
They are literally portrayed as men with vaginas though. Sea girl is even a lesbian.
Sansa doesn't do shit.

When DnD took over.

Now it's just way too predictable

Sansa saved Jon's ass by being the superior clever being that warned him about the danger and made a diplomatic alliance

>warned him about the danger
Didn't stop him from going Leroy Jenkins.
>made an alliance
Littlebottom approached her with that, she only had enough presence of mind to accept it at the last possible moment.

I know. She's been a stupid whore since the beginning.
But D&D are clearly building her up to be the next big thing in the north.

We'll have by the end Dany queen of the 7 kingdoms, Yara, queen of the sea isles, Sansa queen of the north...

Queens, queens, queens !!! So progressive

It was good while the writing was done by a semi-competent writer and produced by two godly producers with no idea whatsoever of writing, who can clean up all the pure shit the author wrote but limited in how much they can change the writing.

As soon as the producers gained enough popularity to make writing changes and stopped having to follow the established writing it turned to shit.

show has always had the same writers, grrm never did more than 1 episode per season, don't know what the fuck you're talking about

>Strong womyn
what's the deal with poster's abhorrence to strong female characters? i mean, we've had decades of only strong male characters and now that creators explore women in a different and more interesting light there's an outcry. this is all escapist fantasy, anyways, so who cares if women and girls are portrayed as physically stronger and more capable than their male counterparts? in a show with fucking dragons, witches, giants, and ice zombies, it's the fact that women aren't portrayed in a realistic way in a fantasy show that irks people? jeez.

If we define good as in "as good as the books" then the first 2 seasons were good. After that it just got worse.

Because dragons and zombies are not real so there is on "realistic" way to portray them.

Medieval women were real and thus it's stupid to portray them other than what they were.

does anyone hate the following?
1. ramsay not putting an arrow in jon's skull but giant. i know plot armour but shit way to show it.

2. jon snow charging alone after rickon's death. again i know it looks cool but for a man who was commander of night owls and already faced death, it was too weak bait.
it was naruto tier move by jon snow. i get angry, i will go fight alone.

because men and women are supposed to be realistic acting, regardless of the dragons and shit.

i hear you and that argument would hold more sway if the male characters were also portrayed in a realistic way. however, they are not. they are as equally unrealistic as the females. GoT is a fantasy show, mate, let's not treat it as some sort of historical primer on medieval realism.

>night owls

?

The males are perfectly realistic by and large with very few exceptions. And considering the whole thing is based on the War of the Roses then yes, we should expect a certain amount of realism.

Yes, was great until after the Red Wedding, when the normies' reactions made D&D change the entire series to centre around shock value instead of just telling the story.

based on the War of the Roses or inspired by it? two different things, mate. and if you think the male characters are portrayed realistically in GoT, then you're either living in a fantasy land or have very little real life experience you think this is how men act. sorry, i don't mean to be flippant or insulting, but you got to get out more, mate.

No I don't think this is how men act. I think it's likely how men acted THEN. And I would be surprised if you have more experience with the behavior of medieval men than anyone else here.

After Tywin's death. That's when the show started to slow down the pace and the writing became predictable and boring for the most part.
The whole season 5 was painfully boring and this season is been boring plus badly written. Deus ex machinas everywhere, batshit magics, ridiculous chasing scenes and plot armors so thick they could stop dragon fire.

Still i would reckon that visually the last episode was eye candy so i am probably gonna make an exception and keep watching this train wreck till the bitter end out of morbidity.

okay but by that logic, strong women existed throughout history as well, including Cleopatra, Joan of Arc, Joanna of Flanders, Illyria, etc. warrior queens and female soldiers have existed in recorded history and folktales since the first stories were told. what's with the backlash with these type of characters here? is it because male audiences cannot identify with them? or is it because the little boys here with adolescent world views refuse to do so?

And are the extreme minority. And yet every single female in this show is more capable than their male counterparts and nearly all of them are now or will be rulers in a male dominated society. Realism aside it doesn't make sense even within it's own world.

A lot of the people who can actually act have been killed off and the overall quality of the dialogue has nosedived, particularly in seasons 5 and 6.

>strong women existed throughout history as well, including Cleopatra
She was a fuck toy of Rome, a puppet. Anyone who isn't a moronic reddit user knows this.
