Trump and Hitler both lacked political experience. That's true.
After WW1, Germany was in shambles economically. Not only did Hitler make Germans proud of their country, he made outlandish promises like giving every family an affordable vehicle, (Volkswagon) and was pretty much able to deliver on it.
Secondly, he targeted the Jews because they were the majority of business owners in Germany and Poland at the time. Jews didn't trust banks, and tried to keep their money flowing through Jewish businesses, not necessarily German ones. Banks are important - they allow the government to utilize that money to create infrastructure and care for their people, and at the same time, allow the people of the nation to take out loans and create better situations for themselves. By retaining that money, Jews were detrimental to the economy in Germany.
The same issue is here, with Mexicans. Mexicans work here, don't put into social security, and typically send the money to Mexico for their families - therefore, that money doesn't stay in America, it doesn't go to banks, it doesn't help anyone here. It's a multi-million, probably in the billions, dollar worth of loss to the American people. As far as Muslims go, they're detrimental to society because their beliefs infringe on the rights of women, children, and people who aren't of their religion.
During Hitler's reign, he also created a country that loved and cherished art, protected it, sought it out. He created a cultured Germany. At the same time, he influenced archaeology, exploration, and the sciences. Because of WW2 Germany, the scientific world basically underwent a renewed Renaissance.
If Trump is capable of half of what Hitler was, we'll be on Mars by 2018. The scientific community won't be based in Europe - we'll be the leading, cutting edge of medical sciences, and so on.
