How did it get so popular all of a sudden?

how did it get so popular all of a sudden?

I remember watching it throughout the 00's on Showase and it was a pretty obscure show. Now I see just about everybody memeing the show on facebook

I stopped watching after it began to repeat itself every season.

>Get outta jail>Do crime>Back to jail.>Repeat.

the new seasons are so fucking bad

So season 2?

Well that was over fast

But seriously, only reason people have watched plenty of shows is because its easy to push a new series for binge watching on one of the streaming services

jesus christ op. ill pay you $100 to fuck off.

The new seasons have been some of the worst TV I've ever seen

>I stopped watching after it began to repeat itself every season.
> >Get outta jail>Do crime>Back to jail.>Repeat.

That was always the show though... :/

it's been like that from the first season though

some episodes are great and some are just terrible.

I couldn't even finish the last season with Snoop Dogg

...

...

This show is complete shit.

Why do americans actually like this stuff?

I rewatched the whole thing with my friend once
Really starts to dip around season 6 and 7 haven't even bothered watching the new stuff

>randy!
>Haha xD bobandy what a funny name haha swearing is funny xD.

That is why the show is shit. Dumb show, worse fans.

shits been popular as fuck for like 5 years now

you all know what has to happen in order for the show to return to glory, right?

They need to bring back the guy in the chair

>what a terribly inadequate show, it doesn't pander to my exquisite patrician tastes which include true comedy like Paris, je t'aime (1981) Rubber (2010) Adémaï bandit d'honneur (1947) Le don d'Adèle (1955) L'inévitable M. Dubois (1943)

>"This show is complete shit."
>"lol swearing is for losers."

Swearing isn't for losers.

It's just not funny by itself.

this is what loner nerds living alone actually believe

stop hating things that are popular

I couldn't watch the new shit.....

They obviously don't have the same editing people or system in place that they did when they first started.

Nice projection.

>le projection buzzword
>this buttmad over the truth

kill yourself

Cunt.

It went downhill as soon as they lost Trevor. The realest nigga on the show

If maybe some of you idiots went back to school and got your grade 10, then you might be smarted up enough to understand all the jokes.

>YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT I LIKE THEREFORE YOU ARE LE NERD LOL xD xD RANDY BOBANY LE FUNNY NAME LOL xD

Nah, you're projecting hard, m8.

>americans
no one has mentioned americans at all in this thread besides you

got something you want to tell the class, user?

Everyone knows Americans have the worst sense of humour.

They elected Obama...

Pssst

This show is Canadian

I didn't mention canadians though. Why bring that up?

>stop enjoying things I don't like.webm

:^)

Lahey's breathalyzer is probably the only good bit

The shows Canadian fucktard

And I never said it wasn't made in Canada, you fucking retard.

Learn to fucking read you dumb american.

>why do americans have shit taste in humor?
>it's a show made by canadians, which means it's humor made by canadians
>I never said it wasn't! Learn to read you dumb fucking american!
You literally came her just to make a stink about americans

>it's a show made by canadians, which means it's humor made by canadians
How is this relevant. I just asked why american's actually enjoy this stuff.

Please, learn to fucking read.

(you)

If you all keep up this bullshit, then you're going to see the right hook....

>TPB fans download thumbnails...
Ugh... I rest my case.

First post best post.

I remember watching it around the same time, and the only ones that would watch it with me were my 60 year old Grandpa that I saw once a year and my mid 50's boss. We'd get drunk and laugh our asses off, but I think it was just ahead of its time maybe just slightly. Over the years I've run into people more and more that actually know what it is, but none really watched it and it really has had a resurgence with the new seasons coming out.

he's the guy who used to run the show and wanted it to end

Canadians are Americans.

Really did start to dip then, that fucking train under the river thing was a fun way to include Bubbles but was pretty dumb. Them going to the US and having to cross the border, and then having to look for a joint which then has a bee stuck to it was a good laugh.

Anything past 5 isn't really worth rewatching, but I think I've rewatched the first 3 or 4 a dozen times in the background while working.

The show was great, because half of it was totally relateable for a middle/lower class person, and the other half made you feel good because you weren't so fucking poor, stupid and desperate. What really tied it together, though, was how content they all were.

It's like a better version of Weeds, but for the poor man.

Ehh I'd say I started really noticing it get popular just a few years ago. When it first came out, sometimes I'd mutter a Ricky-ism out of reflex and most of the people that heard it thought I was just dumb and couldn't into metaphor or common phrase.

Now if I walked into a crowded public space and said even one of his more obscure sayings, I'd have half the place roaring with laughter. I don't really get it, tbqhwyf.

He was pretty great both on and off the show, but yeah he produced it and just wanted it to stop. I'd doubt we'll see him again.

I haven't even checked cause I heard the newer seasons were shit, is Clattenburg still involved? I'd assume Smith, Tremblay and Wells still are. Did they bring J-Rock back? He was like super loaded last time we saw him.

...

It should have. It should have died with dignity. Dunn knew what would happen eventually, and lo and behold, look what happened. Same reason Clattenburg left I bet. The Boys are good at their characters but not much else.

The committment to the characters, and the jokes, is what I respect about this show.

There's a scene wear Julian and the boys get in a wreck, and another wear Lahey shoots Julian in the shoulder and he falls down, and each time he manages to hang onto his drink. That's absolutely absurd, and it's that kind of commitment to the joke, and attention to detail, that I enjoyed about their show.

Hell, in the conkey episode, Ricky goes throughout the entire show with a rag glued to his face, and a truck glued to his hand.....just absolutely ridiculous, but I loved it.
