What are we posting here?
Top 4 albums?

Book, album, film and I think the last one is video game?

But who the fucks plays video games anymore?

Thanks for clarifying.
Posting mine.

i fucks with your music and movie heavily, gonna see what the fuck blood meridian is about now

Hipster cowboy

1/4 (not a rating but what I've listened to/read/played/watched and liked, in this case just Frances, I haven't played/watched/read the rest)

I feel like I could have put that more succinctly

quite fitting, wouldn't be surprised if those were omar's faves (I already know he's a huge fan of westerns and jodorowsky)

1/4, need to read BM. Hated The Road tho.
2/4 (Love Lolita and LoA)

4/4, great picks

>love Lolita and LoA
My negro

anyway, here's mine. not much of a gamer

LA Noire is underrated as fuck

Read a few McCarthy but not that one. Mars Volta and El Topo are cool. Dunno what that other one is.

thanks fampai!

3/4

i like the bottom two
>LotRs
>Mario

Sup Forums won't let me upload images for some reason so...

>book
Moby-Dick; or, The Whale
>movie
Lawrence of Arabia
>album
In the Court of the Crimson King
>game
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

would have posted Blood Meridian, but in the interest of variety I'll say Frankenstein, or maybe one of Ligotti's stories
Replacements - Let it Be
3 way tie between Deep Red, Raiders of the Lost Ark, to Live and Die in LA
Timesplitters 2 or something

BM is like the antithesis of The Road

>Lolita
Great book

>Lawrence of Arabia
Goat cinematography. That's where the positives stop for this film

>Zelda
I don't play games

>Rock Bottom
Good album but to say it's your favourite is very fedora

You're a try hard who's insecure about his taste

>Catch 22
I think it's very overrated

>Groundhog Day
Fun film

>SILY
Pretty good

You're fun and like to get drunk with your friends every weekend

>JS&MN
This is a really strange but respectable choice for favourite book

>The Exorcist
Alright film, I think it's aged horribly

>Red
Fantastic album. I bet stairless is your favourite song

You drink red wine and dress in dark colours

I forgot mine

>The Brothers Karamazov
>The Mirror
>Songs of Love & Hate
>Mario or something

>book
The Long Goodbye
>album
Build a Rocket Boys - Elbow
>film
Goldeneye
>game
New Vegas

>or, The Whale
did you include this just to be a snobby cunt?
nobody has ever needed more than the words Moby & Dick to describe this book

That's the full title of the book, and that's how it's written on my copy.

>Good album but to say it's your favorite is very fedora
Sounds like you're the one who cares too much about what others think to be completely desu with you

Not a fan of any of those

Rock Bottom's great, MM is good as far as 3D Zelda's go. The rest is meh

I like them all, but nowhere near favorite

It's overrated actually.

good thing you guys are in Sup Forums

Nah it's essential poser scaruffi core

It's like saying Ulysses is your favourite book

>thinking in terms of "x-core"
Some guy in a thread said it was the his favorite prog rock album, so I listened to it, and It eventually became my favorite album. Again, you(?) seem like the insecure one

>It's like saying Ulysses is your favorite book
And what if is someone's? Should they not say that for fear of being labeled a "poser"?

You know that Ulysses is a lot of people's favourite book, right?

ITT: poseurs

Jesus, guys.

>That's where the positives stop for this film

You are so very wrong, that it's embarrassing.

Where's yours?

not that guy but every person irl that I've met that loves Ulysses is a pseudo intellectual and doesn't actually understand the book. and this is from someone that likes the book (Dubliners is better btw). I like the book but it has terrible poser "fans".
I've not listened to that album so I can't comment.

anyway mine are:
>Spirit They're Gone, Spirit They've Vanished
>Apocalypse Now
>Paradise Lost
>Candy Crush (I never play games)

>People that like Joyce are such posers, real fans of literature like me read 17th century epic poems

4/4 I like ur taste user. Better be the unabridged MD tho

Every person irl that I've met that loves Paradise Lost is a pseudo intellectual. But surely you aren't one, right user? So cut the bullshit.

Just because they might not understand the book doesn't mean they can't love it.

Would you consider a literature scholar or someshit who studied the book and absolutely loves it a "pseudo intellectual"? Or is it just because that he has the career behind him that he gets a free pass?

Your favorite book is Paradise Lost, are you a religious person? Let's just say that you aren't for the sake of the argument. You haven't read the Bible/Quran/Torah, you haven't lived a religious life. Then you can't truly understand Paradise Lost because it is religious poetry.

But that doesn't mean it can't be your favorite, because it is a terrific book and it's great that people find it as their favorite.

jeez... I'm just saying that alot of his fans are posers and just say they like him without understanding his work. I love Joyce

Thanks user. And of course, people who read the abridged version might as well not read it at all.

I am religious but I get your point

I'm certainly not dissing Ulysses, as I said I like the book. but I'm saying that I feel that alot of Joyce fans say they enjoy him just for the sake of it and for the image

i dont really play games

You're right, there's definitely a lot of people who use the book's reputation to make it seem like they're better than others. But we can never know for sure as to what kind of person they are when we're talking to them on an imageboard created for discussing Japanese anime.

I love Ulysses. I read it mostly in seclusion, I never talk about it to anyone - let alone boast on what I think of it - and my experience of it is wholly a personal one. I've never really met anyone else in person to discuss it with though, so idk

real low res

>The Tunnel
Is this an enjoyable read or is it one of those incoherently convoluted "postmodern" novels?
