Holy fuckballs.

That took me a minute

those are just cooling fins

Shudders a bit does it? There's at least another 5000 in those brakes mate. Fix it later.

...

>Slotted rotors

They need that brembo big break upgrade

I'll leave this here

XD HAHA LMAO

j...just how? how in the fuck?

lol

...

This one fucking destroyed me

...

well at least the case has good airflow.

...

...

I started to dislike ford after we got a ranger. Our old ass 77 chevy pick up kept going no problems, the 86 dodge kept going too. The 2006 ranger which was babied in comparison was a pain in the ass always needed something!

...

Craig's list be like "Te37's one wheel has slight curb rash" lol

What even is that "rotor" like part?

...

...

How could this break like this?

that "rotor like part" is a brake rotor

over tightened bolt on aluminum part

so the inner parts are called veins, they're for heat dispersion.

its a ford, thats why

I've done this.
Did Police Training at the academy for how fast you can exit a vehicle and bring down a fleeing suspect.
Yanked the key from the ignition and ran like fuck, got points deducted for being too fast because I left half the key in a £70,000 Interceptor.

Wasn't a good day for me, but I earned the nickname Quicksilver and it's stuck with me all my life since then, so can't complain.

I know that, but what the fuck is on there in lieu of the rotor.

This thread really grinds my gears.

it's a brake rotor. it's completely worn through one side.

this is a good story. ty quicksilver

the remnants of a mistake

AHHH I see, it's a regular rotor, just ground down so far the internal veins are showing.

so the inner parts are called veins, they're for heat dispersion.

ye boi

>555
Standing By

(faiz reference for any toku trash out there)

fixed one that bad years ago.

Yesir, used that fucker long enough to grind through about a half inch of rotor face before meeting the veins lol

had to have dropped a pad, cause the back of the rotor looks fine

genius!

Internals exploded.
Customer likely limiter bashing

why would someone even do this?

...

...

tired of their car bouncing around like a moon buggy

had one similar myself, someone came in asking about their car making too much noise on the road but the engine was fine

thick bastard had completely worn down a wheel right the way through to the bone, insisted "wheels and tyres weren't necessary because the road is made of concrete and it's not slippery so I don't need wheels or tyres"

I enjoyed charging the poor sod $8000 to "fix the noisy thing"

how do people get licenses when they didn't graduate pre-school

You realize this is a legit thing people do to lock their diff?

The fuck are they doing???

lint, grey hairs, everything

...

WTF dude
nobody wants to see THAT

>You realize this is a legit thing people do to lock their diff?

err no it isn't, they have welded the crown wheel to the pinion, to lock the diff you need to lock up the planet gears.

Welded diff. Used for drifting. See it all the time with Mazda MX5/Miata racers.

I strongly suspect it was a woman that gave you that nickname...

you da man, quicksilver

what's the problem?

Yes, but in this case he did it very wrong. He welded wrong gears.

whatever you say dicksucker

u mong

...

The gif is reversed mate.

How in the fuck does this happen, how did this car even stop

My old boss would be like get a hammer and bang that out

you realize thats now how you weld a diff?

doesn't this lead to a long term destruction of the spring because of tension?

How the shit?

Fuck you pig, nobody cares what some swine cop has to say.

Yeah you are correct user. No way this works. That looks to be the prop shaft welded there.

Lol, your boss is everything wrong with the world. but I like his willingness to try

the HAZ has such pretty colors

...

wtf is this?

that is NOT what you weld to lock a diff

I suspect that exhaust might blow a little.

this is impressive

No CPU cooler

Quick history. I'm a 3rd generation mechanic. My grandfather and his brothers were techs, my dad and his brothers and cousins, myself, a couple cousins, and 2 of my brothers. Still, I had an idiot brother that did exactly that

I think the guy's axle wound up a chain linked fence.

truck runs over a box spring or spring mattress, axel just spins it into a pretty tangle of wires

Look at the case fan

That is what use to be a mattress I believe. Wound tightly around a driveline

What is wrong?

...

There's a CPU cooler there dummy

No
It got repurposed as case fan
It's case fan now

meh people underclock and leave off cpu fan sometimes but they'd use a heatsink

Lol watch that sharp edge there kiddo

Also niggerfag detected

lol didn't notice the fan

How does that even happen?

Uh... Except you weld the spider gears, not the pinion.

Had that happen to a freind with drilled and slotted rotors. Not fun at 100 mph.

Braking from a high speed , super hot, drive through puddle, explosion

classic.

Dam gone but not forgotten

Installing a new cat on their truck, m8.

seen better days

Kek, your big ends in the sump sir..

How does this even?

It's reversed. Source: youtube.com/watch?v=d-nmKOZ2ZHs
