Why didn't he succeed in the NFL?

Why didn't he succeed in the NFL?
He was talented in college and played moderately well for Denver. He was a large, athletic player who could take a hit and keep playing.

What went wrong?

can't throw

What about his throw was poor?

Honestly I think a big part of it was just how annoying he was. There are tons of super-devout Christians in the NFL, but most of them aren't as obnoxious about it as Tebow is. Not to mention his idiot fans who don't even like football.

Poor accuracy, bad in practice.

Tebow GOAT

Shame we'll never see the greatest quarterback of all time develop and evolve

Instead we get russell fucking wilson and fig newton

Rex Grossman took the Burrs to an Owl, how come none of you faggots are on his nuts 24/7 wanting to know why he isn't playing, yet Tebow got carried by his defense and kicker and everyone acts like he's the second coming?

shit mechanics as a QB
refused to switch positions

he could have made a good TE,FB, or RB

>Implying we aren't waiting for the second coming of sexy rexy

He brought way too much media attention regarding a polarizing topic

NFL is a business in the end and it prioritizes not losing over winning desu

>refused to switch positions
>switches sports entirely

Seems kind of hypocritical

Yeah i dont get it either.
People say he wasnt accurate or was a bad thrower but that obviously isnt true considering his massive success in college.
If Denver invested in him more they would have had a great quarterback to back up Peyton Manning and now that he's retired Tebow would be one of the best starters in the league.

>Bad throwing mechanics
>No accuracy
>Can't read defenses

Teboq could go deep with dragons, but he can't reliably make any intermediate and short passes.
Once NFL defense figured out zone read offense after a few years and realized how some certain maymay QBs like Kap, Teboq etc. can't exploit the middle of the field, the fad was no longer effective.

College success only matters in relation to your draft position. If you can't produce in the NFL teams aren't going to keep signing you because you were did good in college and might turn good one day.

Did you even watch him play in Florida? It's endless one-read zone option. Teboq can go deep with dragons or dump short pass to his hot read, but that's it. They got most of their yards because of the threat of the run... once pro defenses figured out the zone read by stopping the run and preventing deep balls, limited QBs like Teboq and Kap can't exploit the weak middle of the field due to shit mechanics, shit accuracy, and shit reading of defense. Scam Newton and Danger Russ are immune to this because they can actually kill Ds via quick and midrange passes if Ds load up on read option runners and cheat on deep balls.

Rex Grossman had a multi decade career

Also forgot to add most headcoaches are in and out in a couple years and don't want to risk their career on a meme qb when its already going to be short enough, and the coaches that can take a risk on a meme qb already have starting qb's like Brady, Rodgers, Flacco, Palmer, Dalton, Ryan, have back ups sorted and therefore aren't going to waste a roster spot on someone that is complete dog shit.

If you think being obnoxious alone will bench players then you are a troll or a fucking idiot.

>T.O.
>Randy Moss
>Chad Johnson

The NFL is a pure meritocracy. Just like every sport ever. Kill yourself

He was a meme qb

>Tebow got carried by his defense and kicker and everyone acts like he's the second coming?
Tebow gave that Denver team the confidence and morale boost needed to be successful. Keep in mind that the same team had Kyle Orton and that team sucked with Orton.

Elway shouldn't have let him go. He should have let Tebow learn from Peyton.

Rex Ryan wasted Tebow and stuck with Mark Sanchez. The Patriots never cared.

I'm a huge Tebow fan, but he's easily the worst QB I've seen in terms of mechanics of throwing the ball and accuracy. He's just flat out not good at throwing the football.

That made his streak in Denver that much more fun to watch, but it's exactly why teams didn't want to pick him up, the odds of a fluke run like that happening again are small, and there are dozens of other mediocre QBs that can pass better than Tebow.

Intangibles like "hard worker" "inspiring" and "leader" don't show up on the tape, and don't effect training camp and most coaches don't put any real stock into them.

Sup Forums fucking loves Rax.

His lack of success was due to his own hubris. He succumbed to the sin of pride by refusing to switch positions to something he was more suited for such as TE or FB.

The minor league deal is a joke because it's written into his contract that he can miss team events for TV appearances. He's not taking it seriously.

>calling yourself a man of God and then wasting your God-given talents because you were too prideful to make a change.

I don't feel sorry for him at all tbqh

>Why didn't he succeed in the NFL?

the real answer is he had too much pride to play anything besides quarterback. he would have a spot on someone's roster if he was willing to play tight-end or special teams.

>Newfag doesn't know the legend of Rax Grissman

All of those people were really good

Tebow was at his peak a below replacement player

this is the newest newfag post ive ever seen

>switching to positions that get brain damage from all the tackles
lmao no thank you

he's on the mets farm team

He happened to have every good play of his career occur within a very short span of time. Imagine a receiver making the helmet catch, OBJ's one-hander and *insert third great catch* in the same season.

Based Rax. Unleash that dragon.

Rex Ryan couldnt pull his head out of his ass as usual.

This was the greatest ever
